This morning I woke after not much sleep, and my mood sucked...I was tired. I thought log on here, check emails, post a bit, wait for my loaf to come online and my mood would get better.

But...

In checking my email I found an email from a publisher I sent a poem off to...I thought...here we go, another rejection. Just what I needed. But after 5 minutes of deciding whether to open it or not and have my mood killed off. I'd just open it and get it over with.

When I opened the email I squeeled with excitement. They had accepted my poem for publication in the online magazine.

SO finally, after all my hard work and dedication to my writing and trying to get published. My horror valentine poem, is finally being published. I am so very excited and just want to scream out loud --

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I AM FINALLY BEING PUBLISHED!

It's so much more difficult to determine an acceptance vs. a rejection email sitting in the inbox as compared to a postal delivery--thinckness generally indicates a contract enclosed (but not always).

It's great news! It'll make opening up other response emails a bit easier in the future...but there will probably always be a mixture of good and bad news replies.

But for now, celebrate the good one! And do tell us the ezine/link etc. when it's published.
