View Full Version : Random Question per Day! Crazy Ivan 07-23-2008, 07:30 AM For an OLD show, a tie between Monty Python's Flying Circus and Rocky and Bullwinkle. For closer-to-90's-ish, MST3K or Animaniacs. Cogito 07-23-2008, 08:26 AM Oh my. I'm a huge TV geek, and have been since only the well-to-do owned color televisions. The Red Skelton Hour was probably my all time favorite sketch comedy show. He had such a gentle outlook on life, even as he mugged his way through hilarious yet poignant characterizations, such as Freddie the Freeloader, and the two seagulls, Gertrude and Heathcliff, who so often graced his opening monologue. He always ended every show with, "Good night, and may God bless." I loved and hated Lost In Space. It was the best SF on at the time, but much of it was unspeakably silly. When Star Trek came on the air, I did everything I could to watch it. Our local NBC affiliate didn't carry it for the fist half year, so I built an antenna to try to pull in a fuzzy station outside the area, with only enough success to make out some of the dialogue. For general drama, The Fugitive, starring David Janssen was among the best. M*A*S*H was a close contender. But SF is my preferred genre. I love all the later Treks, and Babylon 5. Stargate SG-1 is another favorite, but most of that is after the 1990s. Harmire 07-23-2008, 09:35 AM I didn't watch much TV when I was younger. It was usually news or some documentary. Heather Louise 07-23-2008, 09:51 AM Does the book you are reading at the moment inspire you at all to write more? Erm, yes if you count the fact I am more optomistic about being published if they will accept the tripe that I am reading at the moment. What old show from the 90s or before did you just love? Teletubbies !!!!!!! :D FantasyWitch 07-25-2008, 08:40 AM Do you have a "To Do List" of things before you die? If you do what is the most outragious thing you want to do? Yes :P Lol i want to cover my body in fake tattoos so my mum will have a heart attack thinking I have really went and done it :p Gone Wishing 07-25-2008, 09:55 AM Hmmm... >_> I don't know how outrageous it is, but one thing that I'd love to do above all else is spend a year on the Serengeti, and sit with a pride of lions - I'd be in heaven if I ever got to run my hands through a lion's mane  (more than likely literally, as well as figuritively :)). Failing getting the opportunity to do that, I'd love to get the chance to play with some lion cubs - there was about three white lion cubs born in a zoo quite recently, they were adorable! Speedy 07-25-2008, 10:39 AM I dont really have a list of things to do before i die, just goals that i dont care of if i get done or not. Travel is my main goal - id like to visit at least 100 countries. Im 27 down so far (Not bad for an Aussie). .....and get drunk at every one of them (25 of which have so) Note - I don not endorse this! Crazy Ivan 07-25-2008, 11:45 AM 1. Get a date. 2. Walk across Ireland. They're equally unrealistic in entirely separate ways! Torana 07-25-2008, 01:51 PM Do you have a "To Do List" of things before you die? If you do what is the most outragious thing you want to do? meet up with my loaf.... does that count?? :p;):redface: Heather Louise 07-26-2008, 09:45 AM Do you have a "To Do List" of things before you die? If you do what is the most outragious thing you want to do? I do yes, although it is ever changing. And one of the more ... outragious things I want to do may be running for Prime Minister of Britain. Or perhaps naked sky diving. FantasyWitch 07-27-2008, 02:11 PM What was the happiest moment of your life?? Rumpole40k 07-27-2008, 02:54 PM THe day I was able to take my son home from the hospital. A pic would be good too :D emily... 07-30-2008, 01:43 PM I have a tie. My mom bought me a sweater with three checkered kittens on it and a sweater (came with a matching sweater vest to go over it) that had snowmen, cowboys, horses, and cacti on it. Heather Louise 07-31-2008, 05:59 AM Be honest! What is the worst item of clothing you own but love to much to throw out?? A pic would be good too Ermmmm ... perhaps this little Gothy dress I have, with net underneath it, and it like a size 6, but I checked last night and I can still sqeeeeeeze into it, but that made me feel a little better. :p I only wore it once at a halloween party, i went as a witch, but I love it. And I'll post pictures when I upload them on ... :) FantasyWitch 07-31-2008, 06:29 AM What is your scariest compulsive habit? For me there are far too many to list! At work (I work in a takeaway) all the notes must be round a certain way and be perfectly sitting! Even if I have to press them under the menu for 15 mins :P If my hair isn't perfect I freak! Seriously I won't go out without it perfect. If I see something ugly... lie red jeans I can't help but say "OH MY GOD ITS UGLY!" really loud... Banzai 07-31-2008, 06:35 AM Everything must be neat and ordered. With the odd exception of my bedroom. This is why I freaked out when iTunes messed up my nicely ordered video files, last week :) I also pull hairs out of my arms, but thats more of a nervous habit, than a compulsive one. Torana 07-31-2008, 06:46 AM Be honest! What is the worst item of clothing you own but love to much to throw out?? A pic would be good too :D That would have to be my purple genie pants. They are torn right down the thigh on one side and are so thin that they could never be fixed <I don't think anyway> and if I wear them, they tear more. But I can't bare to throw them out cause I love them so much lol! What is your scariest compulsive habit? Hrm... I used to have an obsessive compulsive disorder, where I would pull the fluff off of anything that had fluff on it. Clothing, furniture, stuffed toys, anything! A mate bought me a jumper, woollen of course, and I spent a week pulling the fluff off of one arm and it was fluff free. After that I never did it again... As for the scariest compulsive habit... I really couldn't say. Heather Louise 07-31-2008, 08:08 AM What is your scariest compulsive habit? Erm, I wash my hands all the time, like 20 times a day, just because I feel I have too. Or I have to make sure none of my electrical equiptment in my room is hidden on a night, and my waredrobes are closed, and anything from school is hidden and the lis goes on, because ... well the reason is daft really. Torana 07-31-2008, 08:14 AM oooo! I have to light a candle an hour before bed and then blow it out after I turn off the light. I can't sleep without the smell that is left behind.... topper 07-31-2008, 09:39 AM I alphabetically organize my sheet music. But I'm not really a neat or organized person otherwise. Crazy Ivan 08-01-2008, 09:24 PM Super Catch-Up Post! Woo! What was the happiest moment of your life?? I have many, but the most recent one was when I crossed off half of this list: 1. Get a date. 2. Walk across Ireland. Guess which one? =D How about the saddest (oh dear.. emo time...) The moment I realized my dog was going to die. Be honest! What is the worst item of clothing you own but love to much to throw out?? The baggy Dark Side of the Moon shirt that comes down to my knees. What is your scariest compulsive habit? Probably cutting the hairs off of the mole on my right hand. Yes, I know, ew. yellowm&M 08-05-2008, 02:27 PM What is your scariest compulsive habit? Hmmm....actually thats a hard one...i don't know if they're scary but i pick at my nails, play with my hair/comb it w/ my fingers and i rub my fingernails along my lips....but those aren't really scary... FantasyWitch 08-06-2008, 11:13 AM Would you ever take a cheater back? Why? Crazy Ivan 08-06-2008, 11:15 AM What does taking a cheater back mean? emily... 08-06-2008, 11:16 AM That means dating someone again who has cheated on you in the past. And I highly doubt it. I wouldn't be able to trust them again. Gone Wishing 08-06-2008, 11:19 AM Hmm... >_> That's quite a difficult question to answer - there's a whole bunch of ifs that would need to accompany a yes answer, so to answer in simple terms - no. Cogito 08-06-2008, 11:32 AM My wife cheated on me after seven or eight years of marriage. I stayed with her and tried to fix the marriage, with the help of a counsellor, for another 2-3 years. However, cheating is not the problem in a relationship. It's a symptom. The marriage ended, despite all my efforts to save it. yellowm&M 08-06-2008, 02:10 PM It all depends on the the if's and why's probably not, but i wouldn't say no indefinatley Mousie 08-06-2008, 03:13 PM I've never been in any kinda relationship, so I don't really understand things like that. I probably would, though, because I have no backbone. If they did it again, I'd probably go cry to my friend. When she gets angry, she gets scary :) Cogito 08-06-2008, 03:18 PM You wouldn't like her when she's angry? Raven 08-06-2008, 03:28 PM Would you ever take a cheater back? Why? The Simple answer is No. I'm old school and Army style I beleive in Loyalty and once that loyalty and trust have been broken Its over. That may seem harsh but once the trust has gone it never truly comes back. And I'll be damned if I'm going to live my life always wondering if she's doing it again. So the answer is a firm No. You should also answer the Questions you ask as well FantasyWitch. ;) W I C K E D 08-06-2008, 04:29 PM Would you ever take a cheater back? Why? No, I've never been in a relationship myself but I have kept a careful eye on my sister's current relationship. She's had several and well....NO! I could no longer trust that person, despite whatever they would do to earn my trust back. The memory would still linger in my mind. Wreybies 08-06-2008, 05:52 PM Would you ever take a cheater back? Why? Nope! But then again, I never recycle boyfriends. I'm a pretty easygoing person. If I broke up with you, there was a very good reason. *I once broke up with this guy named Mike who was the spitting image of Brad Pitt, just shorter. No lie, he was beautiful. On the airplane ride home from a vacation in upstate NY, he used the ‘N’ word in front of me, in all its ignorant glory. I didn’t fight with him, I didn’t yell or argue. I just packed my stuff and left. Got no patience for that crap. Cogito 08-06-2008, 06:38 PM Actually, if someone had asked me this before I was actually faced with it, I'd undoubtedly have said "No way!" also. Sometimes you surprise yourself when the hypothetical isn't hypothetical any more. DontThinkJustWRITE 08-06-2008, 09:01 PM I think it all depends on the the relationship's situation and you, but for me, I wouldn't,no matter how wonderful the person was before they did it. I was a victim of cheating (not a direct one, just a victim of cheating through divorce) and it has affected me greatly, so I'd have to say that I'd never take the person back. Daisy 08-06-2008, 10:53 PM Would you ever take a cheater back? Why? Once upon a time (sorry), I said to myself, "No, Never, Not in a million years," then like Cogito, when it happens to you and you love someone so deeply and they are begging for forgiveness on their knees and crying their eyes out in your lap... so, yes I have taken a cheater back... once. Unfortunately, it ended anyway six months later even though there was no more cheating (that I know about :)), but the trust was gone and though I have heard you can get it back if you work at it hard enough, it never happened for me and the whole thing just turned into this nightmare until we almost hated each other. So, my answer to that question today, is "No, Never, Not in a million years" would I ever do it again. FantasyWitch 08-07-2008, 03:36 AM You should also answer the Questions you ask as well FantasyWitch. ;) Lol just for you Raven my friend :P You see I have already taken a cheated back, and regretted it. But I thinkit depends entierly on the circumstances. If my current boyfriend went out with his mates, got recked and had sex with some random, but then came home and told me about it and how much he regretted it and begged my forgivness then I probably would... but not before making his life hell for hurting me. If he had a long affair behind my back and lied and lied and lied then he would be history. Ok todays question! When you were a kid what was the most annoying thing you did to your parents? I used to say "Why?" all the time :P It really annoyed Daddy! hehehe Banzai 08-07-2008, 03:45 AM Actually, if someone had asked me this before I was actually faced with it, I'd undoubtedly have said "No way!" also. Sometimes you surprise yourself when the hypothetical isn't hypothetical any more. I agree. It's easy to say "I'd never stand for that!" in a hypothetical situation, but the thing people forget about is love. It tends to mess with your common sense, and make you do things you wouldn't have thought you'd do. I honestly believe, that until you've been in the situation, you can't judge what your reaction will be. When you were a kid what was the most annoying thing you did to your parents? I used to say "Why?" all the time :P It really annoyed Daddy! hehehe I did the same :p I wanted to know about everything, which led to incessant questions. I also used to never sleep. Which is something I still do :p Raven 08-07-2008, 05:21 AM Lol just for you Raven my friend :P lol. Thanks Fantasy. ;) :) When you were a kid what was the most annoying thing you did to your parents? Crazy Ivan 08-07-2008, 07:57 AM In the supermarket, I would grab coupon after coupon from those flashy little dispenser thingies. My mom would come back from a brief trip down the aisle and find my sitting in a pile of paper. Also, I just wouldn't shut up. Wreybies 08-07-2008, 09:19 AM When you were a kid what was the most annoying thing you did to your parents? When I was a wee lad living in VERY upstate New York, my best friend (and many of my other friends for that matter) was French Canadian. I learned French from him and would speak it at home. That annoyed my parents, no end. emily... 08-07-2008, 11:29 AM When I was about three years old I had this thing I would do late at night, we lived in an apartment in Germany, and we had hardwood floors. So, at night, they would tuck me in, I'd fall out, scream until they came in, they'd tuck me back in, and an hour later I'd do it again. I had this every constant bruise on my forehead from hitting the floor. Gone Wishing 08-07-2008, 12:00 PM I was a snoopy kid - as in I was always trying to locate the hiding spots for the Christmas presents and such. Nope I spent many years as a soldier in the British Paratroop and my scars remind me of those years. Fantasy would you have plastic Surgery? Cogito 08-10-2008, 07:35 PM Never. I'm just fine with who I am, and when it comes to medical procedures, I don't consent if I'm not convinced it is necessary. With that in mind, the exception I might make is reconstructive work after severe burns or a major accident pyrox91992 08-10-2008, 07:45 PM i am ok with myself, i dnt need any plastic surgery, too expensive anyways lolz inkslinger 08-10-2008, 09:39 PM I don't think I could go through with plastic surgery.... hell, I don't know if I could go through with actual needed medical surgery. :) draciaveil 08-10-2008, 10:31 PM No, I'd never get plastic surgery . . . In the summer, well..... it's Nevada! Ugh, so hot. Also, I almost always sleep on either side. Sometimes I'll catch myself sleeping on my back, but I can't do that for very long. But I move around a lot in my sleep. draciaveil 08-14-2008, 11:05 PM I sleep in a t-shirt and pajama pants. I always have to have blankets on me, even in the middle of Summer. When I was a kid I used to be terrified of vampires, and I would sleep with all the blankets in a large mass around my neck (not that that would help much, if it came down to it.) I think my blanket thing is left over from that; I can't bear to sleep with my neck exposed, even though I no longer have a fear of vampires. I also like to sleep with my arms stretched out in strange ways, depending on what is comfortable. If for some reason I can't, like if I am sleeping with someone else in a bed that is not quite big enough for two people, my arms are always numb when I wake up. I also like to have an extra blanket to wrap around my arms; right now I have a Christmas throw rug for that purpose. Wow, I guess I'm a weird sleeper, aren't I? FoxyMomma 08-14-2008, 11:34 PM Depends on the season for sleepwear. Soft hands (takes care of himself)- even if my boyfriend lacks this quality :P 4. Sort of BEAR built (hug thing again) 5. Height (I won't date anyone shorter than me and it is just looks more manly!) Friend of the same sex: 1. Long hair (feminine so I can talk about silly girlie things) 2. Good make up (has pride in herself) 3. There own style (talk about clothes and such) 4. Do tell. And remember we ALL judge on looks. First impressions and all that. I'm not sure that I look for particular things - especially in friends - though there are a couple of things that I suppose I find physically attractive in various ways, which I would think say more about me than the other person... Opposite sex: - Eyes (At this point in time, they would be some very particular eyes that change colour according to the weather - from green, to blue, to grey). - Hands (Nicely shaped hands - clean, well-groomed and not too rough is a plus). - Smile (An easy, contagious kind of smile gets auto-bonus points :)). I think I'll leave it at that... Actually, in thinking about this, I can honestly say that there are no physical attributes that I look for in a same sex friend - though I reckon it would be way cool if I could find one that can fly...or something. :) inkslinger 08-24-2008, 11:46 AM Hmm... Opposite sex: 1. Cute smile (there's nothing like a cute smile to make you swoon, lol) 2. Average to athletic build (I don't like guys whose waist is my size, and I see so many really skinny guys who are barely 'bigger' than me and they weigh about 130 pounds, and that's a big no no, gain some weight! But I don't like overweight either, someone HEALTHY basically) 3. Arms (I don't like really buff arms, those are disgusting, but just nice toned arms are a good attribute to oggle :p ) 4. Eyes (Color doesn't matter, it's just the eyes themselves. This is pretty hard to explain) 5. HEIGHT (Most important here along with build. Seriously, he HAS TO be taller than me, has to. I'm 5'1", I'm the midget here, I need someone with some kind of height, not too tall, though, that's just too much of a gap) For friends, these aren't really requirements, just guidelines that I'd break if the girl was awesome enough-- Friend of the same sex: 1. Style (I prefer for her to have some individuality, not look like every other girl) 2. Height (I prefer girls who are taller than me just because when they're shorter, I feel like a giant) 3. Well-groomed/feminine (Takes pride in herself. However, I don't care about make up. I don't wear make up, lol, I mean she should keep her hair healthy, be well-moisturized, etc.) There's really nothing else. So no number 4 or 5 for this. Okay, that's my ramble response for the question of the day. :) Jade 08-24-2008, 12:04 PM Opposite sex: - Good arms. (Nice muscly forearms) - Tells me that he's active and healthy. - Friendly smile. (Puts me at ease) - Taller than me (No logical reason why, I just prefer it) - Nice eyes. (Not just color, as I like all colors. Some people have really interesting expressive eyes and I find that attractive as I can understand them better.) - Dark hair - I just like hair dark. Friend of the same sex: 1. Knows how to dress so I won't feel awkward with them in public. Not really fashion conscious, just not someone who always tries to be a few steps ahead/tries too hard. 2. No horifically bad teeth as I would find it awkward talking without looking. 3. Not too pretty or I'd just feel depressed/intimidated 4. 5. I seriously can't think of any more for friends. Daisy 08-24-2008, 12:23 PM Good question... really makes you look inside yourself and admit some things. Opposite Sex 1) Dark Hair and Eyes - This doesn't tell me anything about him, but more about me. I've never been physically attracted to a blonde. I think its because I'm blonde myself. Must be true that opposites attract? At least for me. 2) Tall or at least 5 or 6 inches taller than me - I like my heels and at 5'4 myself there is no way I could deal with looking down at a guy. 3) Manly hands but with clean nails - I don't mind if there's a little roughness... shows he's outdoorsy and / or works hard. 4) Got to look awesome in a pair of Levi's as well as a suit - I can't help it, those Levi's wrapped around long thick muscular male legs drives me a bit over the edge. 5) A killer smile, a ready smile - If he smiles easily it tells me he has a sense of humor, which is essential for me to spend any time with a person. I wish we had ten for that question.:) Friend of the same sex I don't think I can come up with five physical attributes for a friend. I really don't care what she looks like. Although it was a little hard in high school having a best friend who seemed to be every guys ideal, but then again, she was every girl's ideal too. She was awesome. I guess the following as far as the physical goes: Smiles and laughs easily - the sense of humor thing again. Daisy 08-26-2008, 11:04 AM Fantasy, maybe it would be nice to ask about the inner qualities we all look for in a partner rather then first impressions of the physical as your next question. Seems your question has gone there anyway. Banzai 09-06-2008, 04:21 PM It's hillarious? Solaris 09-06-2008, 04:24 PM To be honest I've only seen Scrubs a couple of times. I never really remember it. But that might be because I'm more of a That 70's Show person lol. Rei 09-06-2008, 07:13 PM Honestly, I may have watched Scrubs once when it was new. Crazy Ivan 09-06-2008, 08:42 PM I love Scrubs with a passion and have watched all the episodes, some multiple times...but I think that the seventh season of Scrubs was preeeetty dismal. Very bad, really. I'm worried to see how it continues. inkslinger 09-07-2008, 12:04 AM I've never watched Scrubs. It just doesn't seem like a tv show I would like. FantasyWitch 09-08-2008, 07:18 AM Are there any films you are ashamed to say you liked? Torana 09-08-2008, 07:40 AM yes... 10 things I hate about you Well I used to like it anyway. Back when I was in high school. I hate it now though. (does that count?) Gone Wishing 09-08-2008, 08:33 AM Well...not too ashamed to actually name it, lol. I do get a perverse kick out of Fantasy Mission Force - an old Jackie Chan flick (and I use that term lightly, because his appearance seems to be mostly circumstantial and quite begrudging...) The movie boasts one of the most convoluted plots I've ever seen, and seriously off-kilter sequences that barely have anything to do with the plot, if at all. It's so bad it's awesome! :) ChimmyBear 09-08-2008, 09:01 AM Titanic...I love it...looove it!! :D Hmmm...I guess I am not ashamed, perhaps I should be ashamed because I am not. Heather Louise 09-08-2008, 01:16 PM Are there any films you are ashamed to say you liked? Lmao, it is a little shameful that I enjoy all the Disney films so much, but I simply do not care. This is the girls that is not above a bit of Telletubbies. :D Solaris 09-08-2008, 01:34 PM Hm. I'm not sure I'm ashamed of any movies that I like. Seeing as I like them LOL. How about I say I'm ashamed that I watch some movies simply because a good looking actor is in them? Yeah, that's shameful. xD Wreybies 09-08-2008, 01:53 PM Are there any films you are ashamed to say you liked? I'm ashamed of nothing! But I will claim a rather embarrassing tendency to sing the songs from Pocahontas at the top of my lungs while watching! :D What I love most about rivers is you can't step in the same river twice. the water's always changing always flowing! Solaris 09-08-2008, 01:56 PM Hahahaha. YOU CAN PAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS OF THE WINDDDD. Wreybies 09-08-2008, 02:32 PM Hahahaha. YOU CAN PAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS OF THE WINDDDD. That song still has the power to choke me up. I loves it. :p Solaris 09-08-2008, 02:34 PM Me too man, me too. Cogito 09-08-2008, 02:54 PM Yes. Mary Poppins. Not that I mind admitting it now, but when I was in 6th grade, shortly after it was in theaters, admitting that would have certainly led to even more ridicule and abuse from my cigarette-puffing, switchblade-carrying classmates. Solaris 09-08-2008, 03:00 PM Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Even though the sound of it is something quite atroscious! If you say it loud enough, you'll always sound precocious, Supercalifragilistic- Supercalifragilistic- Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! The Freshmaker 09-08-2008, 03:02 PM I don't think so. I like some movies that other people might consider "bad". But usually the fact that other people dislike those movies just endears them to me more. And Torana, 10 Things I Hate About You was a damn good movie. Crazy Ivan 09-08-2008, 03:48 PM I am deeply, deeply ashamed of not hating Mamma Mia. You must tell no one of this. Ever. Daniel I Russell 09-08-2008, 03:59 PM Tor, it was a crap movie, but the guy going over the hill on a moped gets me everytime... There are many, many films that I love that people think are crap! Mostly horrors with a nonexistant budget! Torana 09-09-2008, 12:01 AM Well I know it is a crap movie... now! lol! I was a teenager and had no taste in movies. As you can tell! lol! But I tend to rather enjoy the horror movies with a nonexistant budget as well. They aren't as bad as people think... Speedy 09-09-2008, 12:07 AM I loved those old Short circuit movie's. With the aimated Wall E out now i'll probably have to watch those short circuit movies again. Solaris 09-09-2008, 01:00 AM Oh my god I forgot about those Short Circuit movies! I used to love those too. Hell, I probably still would if I saw them again haha. Man. That was so long ago. Rei 09-09-2008, 07:23 AM Are there any films you are ashamed to say you liked? Why feel ashamed of what we like? Wreybies 09-09-2008, 09:18 AM Oh my god I forgot about those Short Circuit movies! I used to love those too. Hell, I probably still would if I saw them again haha. Man. That was so long ago. Number Five is alive! No disassemble!:D ChevyGurl 09-09-2008, 09:20 AM She's The Man. Its such a teenager-bubblegum pop movie. It's embarrassing enough to tell anyone I watched it let alone that I enjoyed it! I found it hilarious and so honest. Amanda Bynes is a great actress, I guess its not embarrassing to say that. FantasyWitch 09-09-2008, 01:43 PM What did you do today? Bet it wasn't as interesting as mine! Solaris 09-09-2008, 02:06 PM She's the Mannn. I have that movie still haha. AnonymousWriter 09-09-2008, 02:50 PM She's the man? I love that film. Yes it's corny, but I like cheesy. :) Solaris 09-09-2008, 02:52 PM Yes but some things are cheesy in a good way. :p Like The Fifth Element for instance, one of my favorite movies. x) If anyone has even heard of it haha. Banzai 09-09-2008, 03:11 PM I helped a drunk person home, then to a friends when she couldn't get into her house (this was at about 2 this morning). Then I slept an hour or so, before going back to accomodation hunting. Then I went shopping, gave a friend a lift, cooked dinner, gave another friend a lift, and now am relaxing. I don't think I'll be able to get up again tonight :p Heather Louise 09-09-2008, 03:48 PM What did you do today? Bet it wasn't as interesting as mine! I went to school, argued with my mam and was meant to feel about one inch big, and ended up with my make-up running down my face in that commical effect. So yea, not very interesting. Solaris 09-09-2008, 05:02 PM I woke up. Got on the computer. Did the dishes. Got on the computer. Took a shower. Took out the trash. Got on the computer. Heather, what did you and your mother argue about? o.o Speedy 09-09-2008, 05:29 PM My day only just began - so right now im eating Doritos and drinking sunkist, while watching the news. (In a hotel, with the flu). Crazy Ivan 09-09-2008, 09:03 PM What did you do today? Bet it wasn't as interesting as mine! Woke up at 6:30, got quickly ready for school, walked to school, did the school thing, and then went to an audition for The Music Man. The audition ran an hour overtime, so I missed my first meeting for the school newspaper; then I had to run home, make myself dinner (thus skipping the beautiful pasta alfredo my dad was making for the rest of the family), then wait for my drum lesson- which I got to do ten minutes of before it was time for me to pack up and walk back to school for marching band for three hours. Then I walked back home, did my homework, and got online just long enough to type this with my brother staring down my neck because he wants on the computer. And tomorrow it all starts again. Yay, overscheduled suburban children! Torana 09-09-2008, 11:04 PM Stayed up till just after 12am chatting to my loaf... got up at 3.30 am to help my parents get ready to take our Neighbour to her Doctor appointment in a town 2 hours away, then spent an hour on the phone to a company that conned my mother and had debt collecters after her. One massive legal action threat later and they have dropped the charges... shock horror! Then around 4-5 am spoke to my loaf again for around 45 mins, then went back to bed. Then at 7 am got up and got my son ready for school, sent him to school, posted off my loaf's fathers day present from Mase, again! >< Big stuff up at the post office... grrr! Then went to an old friends place and helped her carpet her childrens new bedrooms and put their furniture in it so that her children could sleep in their owns rooms tonight. Then came home to sit and relax and have been on the phone ever since. Now me and Ami are sitting down watching movies and relaxing because it has been a very full on day today. (takes deep breath and falls back into chair....) EDIT: I also got attacked by a kamikazee tropical fish worth $100, it jumped from the tank, and I had to put it back in the tank. Bloody thing bit me too >< inkslinger 09-10-2008, 12:04 AM Humm, well today I got up at about 9:10-ish... not by choice, I had to be at work by 11:00. I brushed my teeth, showered, dressed, did my hair, had a five minute computer interval, ate some breakfast while watching some tv, and then did some final "getting ready" to leave for work. Made it to work on time, spent the majority of the next two hours checking customers out at my register and answering tedious questions by the regular morning old people crowd. Then I went to my first break with my usual fellow coworker friends who happen to get their breaks around the same time I do. For the next three hours I stocked freight while having to stop now and then to help a customer find what they were looking for, or to ring them out for their merchandise. I think I used the restroom around 3:30 and spent a bit of time trying to help a very old man figure out how to program his universal tv remote. Nice fellow. By 4:05 I was at lunch. I ate IN-N-OUT and returned from lunch ridiculously full to the point of not wanting to walk or move very much. I ended up stuck on the register again for two long hours, ringing out various people as they made their purchases (a lot of people were buying the Forbidden Kingdom, Baby Mama, and iPod shuffles tonight). I took my last break for the night at 7 o' clock on the dot. The break room was decorated nicely with Halloween banners, streamers, fuzzy fake spiders, glittery hanging bats, and severed body parts. But most importantly there were bowls of candy on each table; I helped myself to a handful. Or two. After break I visited the cage and fell right into a stack of wooden pallets, earning myself a very painful splinter on my wrist. I fished it out and whined like a baby about my cut and weird piece of hanging skin once the piece of wood was removed. For the rest of the twenty minutes that remained of my work day I rummaged through dozens of movie boxes looking for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, because a coworker of mine really wants to buy a copy. We don't have a spot for it out on the sales floor, but I knew we had a few of them in a box hidden somewhere. I didn't find the stupid box before 8:00, so I quit looking, apologized to my coworker for not finding it, and then went to punch out. Drove home, ate a light snack, watched a Halloween episode of the Simpsons, and am now browsing the internet. I plan on reading and then going to sleep. EXCITING DAY. lol, I can't believe I actually gave a play by play of my entire day. I wanted to see if I was patient enough to type out my whole "eventful" day. :) FantasyWitch 09-12-2008, 03:52 PM What is the worst experiance you have ever had at work? Heather Louise 09-12-2008, 04:20 PM What is the worst experiance you have ever had at work? Because I have only ever done work experience, I'll comment from that. And it was sitting in the lounge with all the teachers and feeling very aware that I was like, twenty years younger than everyone else in there. :p Rumpole40k 09-13-2008, 01:20 PM Broke up a fight between two students and had to leave work after being covered from fingertip to elbow in one of the student's blood. Rei 09-13-2008, 02:09 PM What is the worst experiance you have ever had at work? Changing diapers. Gone Wishing 09-13-2008, 04:04 PM Having to listen to Kokomo by the Beach Boys endlessly. FantasyWitch 09-14-2008, 06:18 AM If you could change one part of yourself what would it be? Crazy Ivan 09-14-2008, 07:19 AM I'd be less scrawny, more athletic-body-type. Heather Louise 09-14-2008, 08:35 AM If you could change one part of yourself what would it be? Only one thing? Ermmmmm ....... I don't know, there are like one millions thing about me I would like to change. If I had to pick one, it would be ...... by body, I want to be slim and tall. inkslinger 09-14-2008, 11:48 PM I would probably change my hair. I want long and straight hair, not medium length and curly! Way too hard to manage on a daily basis, eurgh. Yeah, definitely my hair. Speedy 09-15-2008, 12:04 AM Easy answer! My ability to prograstinate non-stop. Physically - Maybe tone up a little. Nothing much really. Torana 09-15-2008, 06:39 AM erm... I would change from being terrified of clowns to loving them. Would make things a whole lot easier for me! Wreybies 09-15-2008, 07:27 AM If you could change one part of yourself what would it be? The toe next to my pinkie toe on my right foot. I call it thumb-toe* even though its not really analogous to my actual thumb. It's kinda' weird looking and wants to curl under the toe to the left, and the nail grows really thick on that one toe. I have to give it its own little pedicure to make it look normal, which I do on a regular basis, 'cuz I hate shoes. I have like twenty pairs of sandals. I'm a sandals guy. Even with jeans. *The rest have names too: Big Toe, Finger Toe 1, Finger Toe 2, Thumb Toe, Pinkie Toe.:p lessa 09-15-2008, 01:12 PM I would change my health. If I was healthier then the other things I want to change would happen naturally. Thagryn-Sylrand 09-15-2008, 01:25 PM I would like to change how good I am at writing, I want to be 100% all the time. soujiroseta 09-15-2008, 01:37 PM my ability to make generate financial profit:p Leaka 09-15-2008, 02:12 PM I would want to change my confidence. I'm not very confident, which makes me a target to people. emily... 09-15-2008, 02:20 PM I'd love for the tiny voice (not my conscience) in the back of my head to be permanently extracted. |
