View Full Version : Another reason to party :D
Well, for the last five days (it's 1 a.m. here right now), I had been writing in a frenzy, whenever I powered on my computer and mostly late into the night. So I wrote as much as I could, and now, after day 5, my new novel's word count stands at approximately 10,500 words. So wooooooooo :p 10K in five days is pretty good, isn't it? :D
Oasis Writer 05-31-2008, 02:31 PM Yes it is :D Congrats on the hard job done well. :)
Thanks :) It'll be tough continuing, but I amn't giving up for sure :D
Oasis Writer 05-31-2008, 02:34 PM What's the story about?
It's a fast-paced YA novel. I wrote the plot outline before I started writing this, so 10K in five days was made possible. And that's the tip of the day: write the plot outline in detail before you start writing the novel itself :D
Oasis Writer 05-31-2008, 02:42 PM I use outlines, yeah :)
What's YA?
What's the fastest you've written something? Just curious...lol
YA = Young Adult :)
Oasis Writer 05-31-2008, 03:39 PM I have written three novels, all fantasy, and all sequels to one another. I didn't do word counts in the beginning, but when I was 13, I finished my first novel (315 pages, 12 font, Times New Roman, Single Spaced).
Rumpole40k 05-31-2008, 03:53 PM COngrats Hulk! Rumpole drags in the WF "Party in a Box". When do we start the festivities?
Banzai 05-31-2008, 04:33 PM Not bad Hulk :) What length are you aiming for?
Torana 05-31-2008, 08:30 PM Well done Hulk. That is definitely something to be really of and something to most definitely celebrate. I hope the rest of the piece you are writing goes well.
Gone Wishing 05-31-2008, 09:00 PM Nice work, Hulk. :)
LibbyAnn 05-31-2008, 10:24 PM Wow, 10,000 words in 5 days is awesome...I wish I could put stuff out that fast :) I hope you share some of it on here; it sounds like you're really excited about it, which always makes it better to read!
Rumpole - Thanks :) Let's start whenever you want
Banzai - Thanks :) I'm aiming at 50K (it's YA), so if I keep writing at this speed I'l have it done in another 20 days.
Torana - Thanks :) I really appreciate it.
LibyAnn - Thanks, though I don't think I'll be posting any part of it here, because I'm thinking of trying to publish it :)
And thanks GW :) (couldn't include five smilies in one post :p)
lessa 06-01-2008, 05:48 PM Congratulations and good luck.
Eoz Eanj 06-01-2008, 09:47 PM I hope that, in your case, quanity is proportional to quality.
