Private Message Delete Option

Dear Whoever Needs To Read This:

I'm perplexed. In my private message page, I don't see an option to delete selected messages. Messages have a box to the right of them (I can even select a whole days worth of messages), but I see no options to go along with that feature.

I know I can open up each message and delete it that way, but I'm assuming that's what the boxes to the right are for. Am I missing something?

And why when a message is opened do I have to check the delete message box and press the delete message button. Seems redundant. Is that a safety feature?

Check the box, and scroll down to the bottom of the list of messages. There is a drop-down box with prefix "Selected Messages:", and the option to delete. Select that option from the drop down box, and click go, and it will delete the selected messages.

I can't explain how I missed that. I had to search at least 5 times on different occasions for that. Duh!
