So I tried to buy the ticket, well I called and was going to use visa so I didn't have
to go to the depot.
Well the answering machine said leave a message which I did. Never got called back. Went down to the depot and they are closed.
Now how do you buy something if the place is closed.
If I call the toll free number and use visa there they charge almost the same amount as the discount would be.
This is a company that provides a service as their main income.
Where is the service if the place is closed for the entire day.
They are also closed tomorrow as it is a stat holiday.

I'm no angry as such, just more annoyed with the medical facilities in the area in which I live. They are under funded, under staffed, not enough beds, incompetent staff, and ugh! It annoys me because it is titled a nursing station now, and we need a decent hospital here, rather than 2 hours away by car. sigh! I hate the Government!

I'm pissed off because I left 4 messages with the detective in charge of our case on Friday and she NEVER CALLED ME BACK! I'll be leaving another message first thing tomorrow morning and she better F'in call me back. She said "Call me if he violates the no contact order." He did, so I did. AND NO CALL BACK! Is it possible the detective was not in over the weekend? Even they get days off.

You should try to get an alternate contact person when you do talk to her.

It's also possible thatthe police are following up on your call but don't want to pass along any information that could damage the investigation (even to you - too many cases like this fall apart because the person reporting feels remorse for tyrning the person is, or someone close to them leaks info back to the person under investigation).

I'm sure she did have the weekend off, but that doesn't excuse her not returning 4 phone calls on friday before 5. I've already called again this morning and got her voice mail. I know that we're not the only family she is dealing with, but she should return a call for something as serious as a violation of the no contact order.

I agree, and I hope someone is covering her cases while she is out.

Unfortunately, there are many problems with the enforcement of restraining orders and the like, despite some very tragic consequences.

All I can suggest is that you take every possible precaution, and be persistent but calm in following up. Document times and incidents carefully, list any witnesses, and fill out written incident reports at the station, even if they try to convince you it is unnecessary.

You may want to contact a supervisor to inquire who is covering the case in the detective's absence. This is a non-confrontational way to escalate the issue up the chain of command.

Recently I've quit I smoked Cigars and loved every minute of the smoke. And thus I 100% agree the quit smoking commercials are a pain. I stopped because I don't want black lungs any longer but I find these quit smoking adds annouying because it reminds me I'm craving a cigar. They don't help unless you want to quit and even then the only way to quit is cold Turkey.

It grates on me that the smoking crud is rubbed in our faces by fanatics that are on a personal mission.

I'm annoyed that I finally had to leave a writers forum I sometimes semi-enjoyed because I couldn't take the arrogance of some of the members anymore. When something like that starts to get you P.O.ed in real life it's time to call it quits.

Ooo, yay, a venting thread!

OK, so this goes for all writing forums that I've ever belonged to.

I make it a point to always, always, always critique people's work before posting something of mine, even if the forum doesn't require it. I also put a lot of work into whatever I post before presenting because technically, the critique should be of something that you consider finished.

What really gets under my skin is when someone pops onto the forum and posts something they wrote in five minutes and didn't even read through, gets 10+ replies and never shows up again. OR, arguably worse, the person who knows the former is against the rules, posts two or three quick 'It's brilliant!' (which helps NOone) and then posts their work and gets a whole bunch of replies.

Meanwhile, there's a few people like me who are trying to actually improve their work and have put a lot into the community who don't get beans!

Ok, so my only other gripe today (promise!) is that there is the most obnoxious regeton "music" blasting somewhere in my neighborhood.

turned on the bbq had the whole fish ready to put it on when the bbq got hot. decided to make a salad so I went out with my knife and bowl to pick some lettuce and radishes.
Forgot the cane. Legs went out half way there. Managed to get back into the house but no fish on bbq, scalloped potatoes stuck to the bottom of the pan, and no lettuce.
What I did get was a broken big toe, and now crutches instead of a cane.
Don is taking the day off tomorrow to take me to my dr. appt.
so right now I hate myself. Love Don because he is so helpful BUT I still hate me big time.

I'm angry because I thought the pump support drawing was just supposed to include the frame that the pump rests on, when in fact it includes the entire pump well. That means that a drawing I thought I had done is in fact less than halfway there, and it's supposed to be finished today.

Well we had a scoliosis test in school a few years back.
I was suppose to see a doctor, but we never made an appointment.

Actually you're supposed to sleep on your side. If you sleep on your back you are supposed to elevate your feet, otherwise it could be bad for your lower back. Just one of those things I picked up from books.

Okay, on MONDAY I told a friend she could borrow my favorite band's CD untill TUESDAY, she gave it back THURSDAY. Then, I lost, or rather, somebody stole said CD from my fricken binder. My coach saw me walking as fast as I could to class and told me not to be late. The bell rang as he finished his statement. I had to run sprints after practice:( And, I was late to practice (a half hour late) because said coach saw that I failed a Physics test and he made me go to Coach class.

I'm so sorry to hear that WordWizard. I know how that must feel for you - My grandmother lost alot of her brothers and sisters to cancer in just a few years.
But, she is a strong lady and she got through it step by step.

I am SO tired of drivers settling just off my right rear fender on multilane roads. They are just far enough forward I can't change lanes to the right. If I slow down to scoot in behind them, they invariably slow too. Same if I try tro shift forward. Furthermore, it is the ONE spot I can't see them in either my rear view or right wing mirrors - only by cranking my head around.

It is so frelling STOOPID!!

I'm ticked off at customers.

This afternoon, I went to my work at Wendy's, which, as you may know, has a big container of hot chili for customers. We keep ours in a heated area near the front. Remember this detail. It'll be important in a minute.

It was busy as hell. There were so many cars in the drive-through, they were starting to wrap around the building. The line at front register kept growing.

Through it all this crazy lady elbows her way to the counter. She's mad because her green chili cheeseburger doesn't have enough green chili on it. Front ladies are trying to help customers in line and her, while someone else is ladeling chili (the hot chili I was talking about earlier).

That's when crazy lady flings her sandwich into the chili container, effectively contaminating the whole damn thing. Just after a chili refill, too. Argh!

Last one, because it's recent and leaves me irritated.

Here at Wendy's, we have these nice, pain-in-the-ass-to-spin Frosty shakes. We give you the flavor you choose, mix it, then top it with whipped cream and a cherry. One man was taking it to go and would. not. shut. up about it. He complained there wasn't enough whipped cream. Fine, we're not busy. Managers aren't around. Great.

He wanted another cherry. I'm not supposed to do it, but by now we have customers coming in, I'm by myself at the register (it's around 9:30 pm, not unusual).

Finally satisfied, the man then has the balls to complain that, with all the whipped cream and cherries over the top, it would be messy to take it in his car. I stared at him for a minute. Twilight Zone moment. No, he was not kidding. He actually wanted me to slip it into a bigger cup, then put a regular lid over it. Here's the thing:

1. This is how we're told to make it.
2. He then would have demanded a new shake.
3. He asked for all that extra stuff. The cream would have still be over the top, but not nearly as much.
4. He was being a little f-r. Sorry, f-rs don't get extra customer service. F-rs get a smile, please, thank you, and, if they're especially bad, a 'go f-k yourself' under my breath. Special.

I had to deliver a paper today and I forgot to pack it. The worst part is that I somehow managed to pack only the first two pages of the paper, leading me to think that I had for most of the school-day, and only realizing that I hadn't brought it when I had to deliver it.
