This is awsome. Last week I had my six month evaluation and I brought up the possibility of a raise, he asked how much I wanted. Now, I'd never been in a position where I was able to actually negotiate my own raise, and I had no idea how much was appropriate, so I asked for two dollars. I got home and told my family and they said that's a lot.
Well, I just got out of a meeting with my boss, and they decided to give me the two dollars. He said that's much bigger than typical, but they felt I was doing well enough to merit it.
My life is awsome. :D

Awesome :D
Myself, I just got a 100% pay cut. But a vast increase in my free time :D
Now, don't you regret not saying three dollars? LOL
Congrats!

Nice one... you didn;t hold your little finger up to your lips and say 'One hundred million dollars' then?
Also I assume that's not two extra dollars a year.... lol
I should have! On second thought though, I don't think he's ever seen that movie. Two dollars a year, pfft, it's just two dollars period. ;) Nah, I'm paid hourly. In fact, I'm lucky to have this job at all since I have no experience in the field, no degree, and my only training was a half-year class I took my sophmore year in high school.

Congratulations CDRW!
It's always nice to get a raise, especially if its for doing a good job and not just COLA. (Although I'm always happy to get my COLA, since it means I can maybe afford a pizza to go with it.:))
And I bet Uncle Sam is mighty proud of you too. :D

Congratulations CDRW. That is wonderful news that you have managed to get a $2 pay rise. It is always nice and certainly does help out to get a rise and have the hard work you do be appreciated like that. Well done!
