I don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but I just signed the contract a week ago today with an epublisher for one of my novels--a paranormal romance. The release date for the book is next March, so I'm pretty happy about that. My friends and family don't understand what the big deal is, but I know my fellow writers will be happy for me. :p

ParanormalWriter,

Great news! Which publisher purchased your novel? (It's one I could possibly add to my novel markets on my website).

Be sure to let us know when it's released.

Thanks guys. Terry, the publisher is Lyrical Press. They do several genres and publish both print and ebooks (sadly, mine's too short for a print).

So, is it like an online thing? Congrats, by the way.

That's right, Ferret. Ebooks are downloadable books you get in various formats. I buy mine as PDFs, since I already have Adobe reader on my computer anyway.
Of course its not the same as having a book on my shelf, but some people buy Ereaders and things they can carry around with them. I can't afford those, but maybe if I had a few hundred dollars to spare...no, who am I kidding? If I had any money to spare I'd be replacing my broken down laptop. Did I mention it went out on me a couple weeks ago? Using my desktop is driving me crazy.

Congratulations on your success! That is most wonderful news. You must be ever so excited. I've not heard of Lyrical Press before, I'll have to take a look.

But this really is wonderful news and thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. Do remember to post up again once it is released (so those like myself with seriously bad memories can remember to take a look).

Best of luck with future submissions.
