Like I've already said once (refer to previous post in this board) it would be a convenient way to contact other members without having to go to the boards.

May I ask why, though?

A chatbox, particularly from that free source, is the worst idea imaginable. For a start, they contain numerous advertisments, look like crap, and jeopardize the safety of other members. For example, with the chatbox you suggested, anyone can post under any name and can harass other members. If someone were to post under your username and act extremely rudely to another member then people will think it's really you saying the things and your reputation will be shot ... you may even get banned. Little things like that are in abundance with shoutboxes, so it really isn't a good idea.

I've never seen then really be a positive influence on a forum. I also don't see much of a reason for one, either. In addition to that, it can eat up bandwidth, I believe.

I mean, if you can convince me it'd be beneficial, I'd add it by all means.

It kinda looks tacky.. not to mention the numerous abuses it might bring..
