Theres so many great songs out there. Some that are really well written and really good.
But As someone who often from time to time writes a song I sometimes wished that some of the songs written by legends Id written.
In Particular I wish Id written Sympathy For The Devil.
I favourite band Of Mine Called the Black Crowes did a really good acoustic version of that particular song.
So One of the songs Id wished Id written is : Sympathy For The Devil

A song I wished I had written would have to be "Behind Blue Eyes" by Limp Bizkit. But I think I only said that because I just watched the movie "Gothika" and that is the theme song to it.
There is a song that I really wished I had written but I can't remember the name or the artist...it's a song that the artist wrote after his girlfriend died in a car accident. It's a famous song and most people will probably know it but I just can't think of the name or the artist.

Oh, a song I wish I had written would probably be..."Claire" by Jimmy Eat World. Such a beautiful song.
One chance to show your face.
This one shot, all you get.
Pass by your one good thing.
Lift your head back, shoot and chase.
Never hear you laugh like that, so full
Not since you were nine.
Unsettled, severing
Always severing old ties.
One last goodbye may last the rest of your life.
Learn your restricted ropes.
Paint a cross on your left hand.
One good thing signed away
And with it your only hope.
Attention focused on today
So quietly slip behind my back.
Unsettled, severing
Always severing old ties.
One last goodbye may last the rest of your life.
One way trip can work both ways
And loose end kept untied make better friends.
The things you buy may someday leave you.
Can you say full ride?
I still see you.

I don't think there are any songs that I wish I could have written. All the songs that mean something to me wouldn't hold the same meaning if I had written them rather than their original authors(? :s).
