I'm Kem Rixen, or Matt, depending on what name you want to use, it doesn't matter all too much really. I've been writing for a little over a year now, nothing published, but I'd like to get up to that level some day. I don't think I have anything else to say...oh, an age, I'm 17 years old.

Well I've been gone for a really long time, and I feel I should reintroduce myself. Especially considering what is there is now wrong. I'm now 18 years old, I don't write very often anymore, and this is sort of an excuse to get back in the habit, as I believe it helps sharpen the mind. So there we have it, now, I'm not entirely sure what to do with the original post...keep it or just edit the information out. Oh well, doesn't matter too much anyway.

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. It really has changed a lot since I was last here. Also poking around in the review room I've discovered that I might actually have the first thread for the place, it's on the last page in short stories general fiction.
