I wouldn't mind sub-divisions in the lyrics area. I would assume that there are a lot of people who wouldn't be interested in some genres but very interested in others. The short stories area had different catagories and I think it would work just as well in the lyrics area.

It's not a bad idea, I just don't think there's quite as much of a demand for the divisions in the lyrics section as there is for the short stories section.

i can't see any reason for it, especially since so few are posted, compared to stories...

There are many members why not put it to the vote.

You could sub forum with genres. Helps everyone know what the lyrical style is.
For example:

Rock
Indie
Pop
Classic
Country
Acoustic

And many more genres that are available.
