View Full Version : Interview The Member Below You Bick 04-18-2008, 09:31 PM I act like nothing happens and I cry myself to sleep. Then after a few weeks, I stop crying and my feelings for that person become like a stone. I'm not emotionally healthy :p Same question. soujiroseta 04-18-2008, 09:36 PM i tend to sit alone for a few hours and then go out into the world like nothing ever happened, as a result ive been described as heartless... what's the worst thing someone's ever said to you Bick 04-18-2008, 09:44 PM There was this time that I overhead my grandparents and my father talking. They talked about me as being a failure, and a waste of flesh. That I had no future, because I was a screwup. But you know, I don't care what they think. I will make my own future and they'll find out that they were wrong. Who needs antagonists like that in their life? Same question. soujiroseta 04-18-2008, 10:00 PM darn right! i remember two years ago i heard my mom and dad talking on the phone and i could hear both because my dad was in the speaker and he thought i was outside. they talked for a bit and then my father told my mom that i was a waste of money and that i was the one mistake that he regretted. it kinda stung how do you feel at the moment? Bick 04-18-2008, 10:05 PM I feel exhausted, and I'm tired of being tired and in pain. I feel like I'm caught in a corner, trapped. I have to get a job to help pay the bills, but I don't see myself being able to function with this pain. But I have to. I feel, like nothing will get better. But you know, it will. So, I'll just fake happy, and maybe happy will come to me eventually. Same question. soujiroseta 04-18-2008, 10:38 PM i feel like im being chewed up by 90 serrated shark teeth because the ping inside my head is becoming so unbearable. when was the last time you were happy? Bick 04-18-2008, 10:41 PM Oh my. Hah wow. Uhm. When I was a child. Nothing really bothered me, not my abusive father, nor my yelling mother. I felt happy being with my friends and imagining we were far away. I wish I could go back and relive it, just to remember how it felt. Why do you think happiness is so hard to achieve? CDRW 04-19-2008, 08:44 PM They are waiting for the world to make them happy. They give up the power to decide to be happy and place it in the hands of a world that just doesn't care about their feelings. They let the world tell them you have to do/be/accomplish this thing...in order to have joy. If you don't do/be/accomplish whatever it is then you aren't allowed to be happy. They end up being unhappy until proven otherwise when it could be the other way around. Are you satisfied with your life? Bick 04-19-2008, 08:59 PM No not really. But it'll get better eventually so, one day. If you could meet anyone in the entire history of man, who would it be? Neha 04-19-2008, 11:49 PM Joan of Arc........she's like the me in ancient times...... IWhich is the one book you wish you had written and why?? soujiroseta 04-21-2008, 12:48 AM i wish i had written romeo and juliet. it's my all time favorite piece of literature and i would also like to have millions of student sweat night after night trying to understand the meaning of words which i came up with on a drunken spree... what is your greatest pet peeve? Kratos 04-30-2008, 05:28 PM Not really sure what my greatest one is, but for some reason I hate it when people call mammals animals, and say that fish and birds aren't animals. (Yeah, it's weird) If you could talk to any author, living or dead, and get them to work with you on a book, if you want, who would they be? ChimmyBear 05-01-2008, 07:27 AM hmmmm...I think Pat Conroy, I admire his ability to weave various subplots around the main plot. He is just able to keep it all in focus. If you could go anywhere in the past, present, or future...where would you go and when. Explain why... Gone Wishing 05-01-2008, 08:28 AM Hmmm... It's a toss up between Woodstock and the creation of the planet... :D Woodstock would just be damn cool, and the other I suppose is pretty self explanatory as well. If you could rename the constellations, what would you call The Milky Way and why? Kratos 05-01-2008, 12:38 PM Galaxia Life, 'cause it sounds cool. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance, what would it be? nacreous 05-01-2008, 05:52 PM well, I cant really talk about it here, but lets just say I would need one less prosthetic device (lol). so, did you ever just let your toe jam grow to the extent that is not only visible, tangible, but infact its own living, breathing organism itself? did you set your toe jam free, to roam the land and fight evil in the dark city? Well, then, just tell us about some gross habit you have... ChimmyBear 05-01-2008, 06:17 PM :eek:No!...my perfectly painted toes have never seen anything close to that!!...hey, my feet are the one thing I fuss over, feet are important!!! Gross habit...hmmmm...I love ketchup...and I literally bury my fries...hamburger...hash browns...totally under it!!! It grosses people out...it does!!...hahaha...but, I can eat it straight...:p ~ Hey...that's me babieees!!! nacreous 05-01-2008, 06:24 PM eww. I donno about that ketchup, thing, Chim. that really is gross. Now, I happen to know that southern cooking is very good. I cant see how youd cover it with that sickly sweet stuff. anyway, how did you get to be so perspicacious? You nailed me to a peg, twice now. ChimmyBear 05-01-2008, 06:29 PM I don't know Nacreous...when I was a kid...my grandmother would say that I had the ability to discern a person!!...hmmm...maybe she was right?...;) So...what would you consider a perfect Sunday afternoon? nacreous 05-01-2008, 06:46 PM she was right, Chim. Maybe you have the 'shining.' sometimes I believe in that stuff, but not very often. a perfect sunday afternoon... I tend to hike and then cook for the rest of the week on sunday afternoons. thats peaceful enough for me. but i suppose the PERFECT sunday afternoon would be spent far from here, far away in travel, perhaps, in the mountains or on some foreign shore. same question back at you. ChimmyBear 05-01-2008, 08:37 PM Oh...a perfect Sunday afternoon.. These days I am alone a lot, so I prefer...it quiet, raining with a little thunder, while I read or journal. However, It is a little different when spent with someone special. Bick 05-02-2008, 06:51 AM A perfect Sunday afternoon would be spent with my cats. What's your favorite dish to eat? Flubagalub 05-02-2008, 07:18 AM A satellite dish. I have never tried it, but out of all of the types of dishes available a satellite dish looks the most appetising. Lol kidding. Probably something pasta-like. Or pizza. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be. P.S. I'm sure this has been said several thousand times in this thread, but there's no way I'm going to read through 103 pages of questions to find out. Bick 05-02-2008, 07:32 AM I'd live in Southern California, I loooove it out there. Desert, dry heat, nature. What more could you want? Same question Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:05 AM England. I love rainy days and the accent might be cool. WHat is one thing you want to do before you die? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:09 AM I want to meet Walter Moers, more before /he/ dies, because he's all ready turning 50 years this year and he isn't getting any younger. I must meet that man some day. Same question! (I'm so lame like that.) Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:11 AM Have a book published. What is your favorite time of day? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:16 AM I love early morning when the sun is just getting up, the robins are out and that nasty little woodpecker is out at work on our dying tree. Then there is the damn mockingbird that sits right by my open window that wakes me up and gets shooed away as I open my window to see the beautiful day that's ahead of me. Yay for mornings! Same question :p I'm so unoriginal. Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:18 AM I like the quiet times. Either very early in the morning before anyone else is up or late at night when only my cat and I are still moving around. Favorite type of movie? Gone Wishing 05-02-2008, 08:26 AM Hong Kong action movies...also strongly inclined towards tragic endings. Secret indulgece? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:37 AM Hmm, none that I can think of. I only bake so I can indulge in lots of compliments? xD What's your favorite genre of music? Favorite band? Gone Wishing 05-02-2008, 11:12 AM :O That's almost impossible for me to answer... Gone Wishing's musical tastes (http://www.last.fm/user/Gone_Wishing);) If you could be someone else for a day, who would you choose. Bick 05-02-2008, 11:27 AM My self. I don't want to be anyone else. Same question. Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 11:35 AM A friend of mine just to finally get the answer to a few questions. Favorite holiday? Bick 05-02-2008, 11:37 AM Halloween, just because it's fun to dress up and hand the candy out to the adorable kids. Yours? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 11:37 AM Christmas .... presents!!!!!!! Every year it's on for 24 hours! Favorite junk food? Gone Wishing 05-02-2008, 11:46 AM Once Upon A Time In China (I only say that because I've seen it so many times, I find it pretty hard to name favourites with things like movies, books, music etc). Do you have any heroes? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 11:48 AM A few all people I know. Same question. (Yea, I'm stealing Bick's line.) Bick 05-02-2008, 11:50 AM (Yea, I'm stealing Bick's line.) You can steal it anytime :p Rumo, a child's character or not he'll always be my favorite hero. I'm sure you mean elseway but in the other sense, no I don't. (this could take a while). What is one thing you absolutely can't stand? thelastblueberry 05-02-2008, 02:40 PM bick - domestic: cat. Wild: there are way too many cool wild animals. Giraffes and ocelots for starters. Rumpole: I can't stand it when people try to twist my words into something different from what I say, or when they misunderstand me and assume things but refuse to listen to me when I try to correct them. same question (what can't you stand). Bick 05-02-2008, 02:43 PM Domestic: Cats Erm. Insect: Ichneumon Bird: Shoebill Fish: Mudskipper :p I can't stand watching people eat and I can't stand people watching me it. I will starve myself rather then see someone eat or let someone see me eat. Shivers down my spine just thinking about it. If you could be any Super Hero from the comics, who would it be? thelastblueberry 05-02-2008, 02:46 PM I would be Jane? from X-men. I would love having psychic powers. same question. I don't know if I believe in God but I think I believe in something out there watching over us. Like karma or Santa Claus. =P Are you afraid of the dark? Bick 05-02-2008, 03:05 PM Intensely. I'm also afraid of flushing toilets :| What are you afraid of? thelastblueberry 05-02-2008, 03:06 PM I am also afraid of the dark and I am afraid of jumping from high places. Why are you so fascinated with bugs? Bick 05-02-2008, 03:11 PM There are so many of them, you could read an entire book about insects and you didn't even dent the hundreds of thousands of insects out there. Then there is the fact that they are living, but they don't even remotely look like us and they are so small. How does something that small and something so different live and survive? It's also interesting to think, we think of them as pests. Correct? But w/o the insects our chance of survival would plummet. For example. My favorite insects, the Ichneumon. It's a scary looking wasp, that I'm sure if anyone ever saw it, they would squish it without thinking much about it. But that wasp saves us millions of dollars a year. It kills off other pests (insects) that would otherwise eat out crops and in turn lose us money. Enough of me boring you. xDDD Who is your favorite person? thelastblueberry 05-02-2008, 03:16 PM that wasn't boing. It was really interesting. Now I'll think twice about squishing Ichneumons. =) Other than my parents I would have to say my favorite person is my best friend Leslie because we've been best friends for 8 years and we have never fought or had any problems with each other. We just get each other somehow. And we are complete opposites and been through a lot of stuff so that's really saying something! What are you most thankful for? Bick 05-02-2008, 03:19 PM My curiosity. Without it I wouldn't know most of the stuff I know. Same question. Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 04:55 PM My son. What has geen your proudest moment in your life so far? Bick 05-02-2008, 04:59 PM Wow, I feel sad. xD I really had to think. Though I can't really think of anything :| I'm never proud of myself. Same question. Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 05:01 PM Getting my first cover on a magazine. What is one thing you always wanted to try but never had the guts to do? Bick 05-02-2008, 05:15 PM To tell my dad what I really think about him. Same question. Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 05:21 PM Swimming with sharks. Would you try it if you had the opportunity? Bick 05-02-2008, 06:00 PM Interesting, haven't heard of it, but sounds cool. Mines Rumo and His Miraculous Adventures. All right. See you, have fun =D Whats your favorite color? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 07:10 PM Black. what do you do to get out of a bad mood? Bick 05-02-2008, 07:12 PM I pet my cats. What about you? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 07:18 PM Work out. Roller Coaster or Log Flume? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:03 PM Eww. Neither. Theme Parks terrify me xD I'd much rather go to a preserve or something. (Yeah. I probably seem like a loser xDDD) Do you think your life is exciting? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:07 PM Ummm... yeah but not in a good way. I teach in a high gang area. Lost track of the number of times I went home early with someone else's blood on me. (true) What about you? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:11 PM Unfortuntely my life gets exciting only because I'm surrounded by drama and gossipers. Though to me I'd much rather live in a desert far from any drama. What's your point of view on immortality/death/life? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:16 PM The soul is immortal. We die once (no reincarnation or such) We shouldn't waste our life here on Earth. You? (BTW you had to see that question coming.) Bick 05-02-2008, 08:19 PM I believe when we die, our everything rots underground, but I think our mind goes on dreaming. Or at least I like to hope so. (I put that idea in the short story contest that I somehow won xDDD I didn't deserve it I think.) What is your best and worst memory? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:21 PM Best - taking my son home from the hospital. Worst - carrying my grandfather's coffin. You? (Feel free to pass if you want to.) Bick 05-02-2008, 08:30 PM Best - That day my dad and I hugged for the first time. Worse - The day Zach died, adding to Johnnys death months earlier. If you could change any moment in your life, what would it be? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:39 PM Honestly .. I would have avoided a friendship that brought too much heartache to myself and the other person. What about you? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:42 PM There's a few things I would love to change. Though I think if anything I'd change the fact that I ever did drugs/alcohol. I doubt I would be a high school dropout if I hadn't. Can you think of any moment that when you think about it, it can bring a smile to your face? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 08:53 PM Yes, a couple. My boy smiling at me and saying "DaDa". The first check I ever got for writing. The first time I ever saw my words in print. What about you? Bick 05-02-2008, 08:58 PM None that I can think of xD I'm just a generally smiling person. Do you like exotic food? What Happens Next? 05-02-2008, 08:59 PM Sometimes, though I don't like to eat bugs, not that I have. -- Do you like to watch animated movies? Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 09:00 PM Yes, especially Thai. What is the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? Bick 05-02-2008, 09:07 PM A chocolate covered cricket and meal worm. Same question Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 09:10 PM Hrum ... can't really compete with that. Fugu (Japanese blow fish) O.K. how did you end up eating chocolate covered crickets? Bick 05-02-2008, 09:12 PM I never say no to a dare, so I accepted the dare and got 40$ bucks out of it. I will say, they didn't taste all that bad. Would you ever think about trying them? :p Rumpole40k 05-02-2008, 09:13 PM *Shrugs* Why not? Have you ever heard of wormzels? Why is tehre never a pot of coffee already made when you need one? Torana 05-03-2008, 07:51 AM Because you forgot to press the button and turn the coffee machine on. Why won't anyone do as they are told to and get me another damn can? nacreous 05-03-2008, 08:17 AM another can? another can? why would you want another can? how about a nice paper bag? tell, next writer, tell us how you feel about your travel plans for this summer. Are you going where you REALLY want to go, and doing all you hoped to do? Gone Wishing 05-03-2008, 08:36 AM Summer is over in Australia, currently gearing up for winter and as yet have no travel plans for next summer. Yet, I am always doing what I hope to. ;) Are there any tales from mythology that consistently inspire you? Rumpole40k 05-03-2008, 08:37 AM No not really. Why or why not. nacreous 05-03-2008, 10:15 AM There are times when I change and enjoy new things, but I find that as I get older, I do this less and less. In terms of letting go of the past, I find that I cling to memories like old friends. In deciding which website you'll stick to, what factors will you consider? ChimmyBear 05-03-2008, 10:18 AM Maturity, Diversity, The ability to be honest. What about you? What are you looking for? nacreous 05-03-2008, 10:32 AM besides your sweet company, chim, I am really looking for creative writers. What I really really want is this game I used to play on writerscafe before it closed. It was such a fun time. One person posts a picture, and all the other poets and writers describe the picture or make up neat little stories about it. does anything like that interest you? ChimmyBear 05-03-2008, 10:40 AM Yes that could be fun...kinda like the "nebulous"..;) It is good for me, because I struggle with descriptives...that is my weakness!:p Okay next question: When are going to post this game on a thread? nacreous 05-03-2008, 10:50 AM I donno. I am hesitant because I dont want to seem too pushy. most of my life I spend sulking in the corners, a wallflower with a cold look on his face. when I DO decide to be sociable and try to make friends, I frequently come off as too pushy, too nosy, too loud or too boisterous. Now that I understand this, I try to make more careful choices. I'd like to make some more friends among the poets here, by complimenting their poetry, before I try to start a new game. I feel that if I have a stronger base of support the game may succeed. does that sound selfish to you? Like I am only trying to make friends just so I can play my stupid game> The problem is, if I ever Do get this game off the ground, and there is much support for it, I may still destroy it by doing exactly what it is about. Thats what happened, I think, to the game on writerscafe. Did you ever visit that forum before it was closed last year? I tore that game up. I was just on a perfect roll. Every single picture posted (I couldnt post pictures back then - didnt know how) I would turn out an excellent little poem so quickly, that not only did I sharpen my skills to get back to my own work, but also I blew everyone else out of the water, totally unintentionally. Did you ever get so good at something that nobody else wanted to play with you anymore? ChimmyBear 05-03-2008, 11:04 AM hmmmm...No, not at games but another thing. I began to back away from it just so the others wouldn't feel intimidated...I also began to encourage their efforts. Would you ever help someone with their work as to make them better at it? nacreous 05-03-2008, 01:31 PM that is practically all I do. why else teach? what is that other thing? ChimmyBear 05-03-2008, 01:42 PM Singing...in church. Would you describe yourself as a happy or sad person? Explain nacreous 05-03-2008, 01:58 PM definately sad. because I am sad. how can a person NOT be sad now? Soprano? Like Bach's vocal works? the cantatas and oratorios? How about the christmas and the easter oratorios? The Magnificat? That's all I been listening to for the past two weeks. ChimmyBear 05-03-2008, 02:31 PM hahaha....I am not a soprano..I am an Alto...And yes, I have sung in many of them. Far too many I do believe...LOL I like Cantatas best, they are more intimate. I love harmony and I think that is part of my reasoning, too. For me I have always enjoyed the Christmas performances best...I just do...maybe it's the season...:) You have quite an eclectic taste in music, I might add...I mean, Bach...beautiful choral pieces...Mississippi John Hurt...;) Okay, what is "down time" for you and why? Rumpole40k 05-03-2008, 07:00 PM Word Games, working out. The first keeps me from being too serious. The second always puts things in perspective. If you could write a best seller, what would it be about? Bick 05-03-2008, 07:03 PM Seriously? But really, in his comics he makes fun of everyone. Artist, writer, German, Comedian. What more could you want? Why do you like Rumpole so much? Rumpole40k 05-03-2008, 07:16 PM He's utterly flawed and doesn't always win. I can relate. What wallpaper is on your computer? Bick 05-03-2008, 07:23 PM A picture I drew of Rumo. Too bad their mostly trashed. Same question nacreous 05-04-2008, 06:45 PM the inevitable demise of my neighbors. ah, the corned beef of new york. this is the one thing which I truly regret as a vegetarian.
