I kept telling myself that I was going to look up the rules of this at another forum that I participate in, but I forgot, so I'll have to do my best comming up with the rules on my own.
I think it's pretty clear though. When you post, answer the question in the post above you, and then post a question for the next person that posts.
You can post as much or as little as you want for an answer.
Since this is the OP, I guess I'm posting the starting question:
How often do you write?
when the urge compels me.
answer me this fellow post monkey: if space and time are but mere ideas then why do we feel compelled to exists in this controlled state?
Spherical Time
09-30-2006, 06:12 PM
I reject the basis of the question. I do not think that conclusive evidence that we are compelled to exist has been offered. Further, I happen to believe that the perception of the controlled state may or may not collapse between quantum moments. The idea of the controlled state is more important to the question than the actual existence of the controlled state.
However, as a glome, I must say that that the existence of a controlled state is self determined. Everything is referential, but the matrix is determinable.

So, what motivates you to write?
WhispWillow
10-02-2006, 10:55 AM

Here's one right off the top of my head: You are given the ability to travel back in time to kill one person, who do you take out?
Laimtoe
10-15-2006, 11:20 AM
Sargeant Nokkin. I was in the Millitary and that man tried to make me into his Beeeoootch (can we say the real word in these threads?). I hate that guy.
Did you know that Milk has Casein (glue used to paste wooden furniture together) and it has growth hormones (they're given to the cow to produce more milk and some of that winds up in the milk) and that actually detract from your bone health. And most of the nutrients in milk you don't recieve because it's liquid meat, and that it causes premature puberty which can cause deformities in future generations of offspring? And all of this is done to produce more milk simply because the dairy industry is owned by the Tobbacco company?
Felony

Yes, I knew all this about milk, and it worries the hell out of me. However, I LOVE angel delight.
It's a quandary, isn't it?
Laimtoe
10-15-2006, 06:34 PM
Yes it is quandary And I like blue bunny ice cream... it's like eating a tasty box of glue, but I LOVE IT! (sounds so gross).
Quandary, good word: a state of perplexity or uncertainty, esp. as to what to do; dilemma. Simular good words include: impasse, quagmire, climacteric, dilemma, bewilderment, checkmate, Pandora's box, entanglement, catastrophe, plight, crisis, and many many other great words.

Laimtoe

There is no fair line of thought only one can live and one must die.
To choose is unfair yet the choice has to be made.
There is no correct answer.
If the same circumstance came up only this time it was your wife and eldest child that had the accident and only one could be saved. Which would you choose.

It's one of the most expensive places to live in the United States, and I love it, but where my house is located is also very isolated. I just had a huge problem with internet access as well. When my dad threw my against a mirror that (luckily) didn't shatter. And the time when I was in the fourth grade and I was first diagnosed with new medicine for my ADHD. The medicine didn't work and my grades were all F's. My parents threatened to send me to juvinille hall or to get rid of me. I was grounded 24-7 in a cold dank basement bedroom. I was bored stiff. They would always yell and I never got help. I finally gave up. And let what grades were good fall. My life was what I would call the abyss. I was always alone and mistreated. It is alomst bad enough to make a horror story out of it.

Well, let's see. America is a large place. We spend more on our military than any other country, nearly four times more than China and India, even though those two countries together have nearly six and a half times the population.
With China's changes in the death penalty, we also have an increasingly out of date view of morality for a first world country. We fall into a very odd group of countries, when put that way.
We also don't have a opinion representative government, we have a dual party system . . . but that's not that interesting probably.

It's a studio, white, with higher ceilings and wooden trim. It's oddly shaped, sort of like a square hand mirror. My main living space is the face of the mirror. In front of the main door is my television and stereo, because I always use the back entrance with the glass door and the windows that look over a beautiful hill and landscape.
Over the doors are a few of my drawings, framed, and there are a few more over the head of my bed, which is along the wall on the opposite side from the windows. Over the bed are bookshelves, the nicest ones that I've ever owned. Most of the books that I own are there, mostly science-fiction and fantasy, but a few old school books.
In a little outlook next to the glass door is a little kitchenette that I almost never use.
If you come down to the mirror handle, you have the closets and the bathroom. The closets are nice and large, but I wish the bathroom and closets were on the opposite sides because the bathroom is cold in the winter.

The day after 18th, when I realised we had gone off up the street and glued all our underwear the public toilets. Not a good look hey.
Same question, what's your most embaressing moment?

Making a fool of myself in front of my elementary school teachers. They were friends of my parents, and every time I see them, they remind me of it.
Who do you think is the best role model?
The Yellow Matrix

My role model is Friedrich Nietzsche, because he believes that god is dead. Like it means anything...
How do you know that god exists?

I believe the opposite, and my main reason for believing that is popularly referred to as "The Problem of Evil." I am an incidental Buddhist, and Buddhists do not necessarily believe in God or gods.
Where does your screen name come from?
ETA: Incidentally, Niezsche intended his comment "God is dead" to be ironic, if I recall correctly. It was said by the madman as a lament.

Yes, I often feel alone, even though I have a girlfriend, loving parents and a baby on the way. I just feel different I guess the word is.
What made you start writing?

Life I've seen some things that should be left alone. And some of those stories need telling. But thats for publication only.
Other than that I have a passion for sci fi and have plenty of stories running around my brain ready to explode so i write them down and the good ones i keep and put into a story to share with anyone that will read them.

Well believe me you are not alone in that thought.
Why do you feel alone and what contributes to that feeling?

I think I feel alone when I hide things from other people, particularly my family. It creates this bizarre sense of solitude - like no one understands me. Which is funny because then I try and MAKE people understand me through my writing. It's all one vicious cycle. But yeah, honestly sharing feelings and ideas makes me feel more connected with people.
Do you use writing as an emotional outlet. If so, how?

When I first started writing poetry it use to be filled with teenage angst mostly about cutting and what not. Now a days I look at online poetry and cringe at such writing about how whiny it sounds :P

While my kids wife and dogs draw breath then I'm happy.
Are you happy or ar you unsure of what your state of mind truly is?

I guess I am happy. You see, I am currently unemployed and still looking for the job that I like, not those that want me, and then, I'm in debt, and I'm kinda broke and my dad keeps pestering me to go to law school like he did but sometimes I find it hard to believe that I could actually do it.
But, when all is said and done, I am still happy. Life is what you make it to be. Next day or so, I'll be different, older at least, and today will never come back again. So why should I be unhappy today? If I am happy now, at least tomorrow I'll remember today to be a happy day. It's all in the head. :-)

Absolutely not. How could someone claim something as their own when it started out as someone else's?
If you could go back in time to one point in your life, but not be able to change or interfere, which point would you choose to see again?

The Friday before my brother passed away. He took my 2 yr old for a drive and my boy was so excited about it. Both of them had the biggest smiles on their faces, I'd love to see that again.
What is your favourite day of the year and why?
Raven

Christmas Eve.
It has always been my favourite day since i was a kid. Even in the army we enjoyed the magical spirit and took to carol singing. (And Pranks lmao)
Now It is still my favourite day because i get to see my kids become excited and joyful because Santa Clause is coming that night to bring their presents.
And I still feel the magical spirit of that one day.
Same Question again.

The day of a cricket match, when your team is 180 runs down, the top four batsmen are out, and the team is banking on the middle order to steady the ship(middle order = me).

Favourite cd?
Tough choice. I seem to go through different favourites like a fat man charging through a buffet. But I guess I've played Nirvana's - Nevermind more than any other CD. I've played it so much that the back has worn away and it skips alot. I do need to get a new copy.
