Do companies really think that they are going to garner customer loyalty by farming out their customer service to the ends of the earth?

I know, I know, that sounds so racist, right? And, please, God forgive me, because I hate the sound of these words coming from my mouth. But if companies who opperate primarily in English are going to send their customer service call centers out of the country, they should pick countries where English is the primary language and not take advantage of poor developing nations where English is not spoken just because they can then pay the employees three cents and five beans an hour!

You know how it is - writing it down for someone else sometimes makes it clearer in your own head. Thinking of it in story terms gave me the idea of using it to set a fixed time limit for repairing a broken timeline. Not sure yet where THAT will take me, but it's a start.

I have this idea for a story - and I was really inspired by it until I wrote a brief summary of it and posted on a different forum (non-writing related site, in point of fact, but just as an exercise).

Now I can't expand on it. :confused:

Plus, I'm procrastinating on getting it started because I usually have the characters fully developed before I begin - they're always my starting point and then I follow their logic in how the plot and themes develop - if that makes sense.

Agreed, but I also have beer goblets I keep in the freezer, and also have a gew covered steins that I also pre-chill. Not that I ever let it get warm or flat anyway.

I make an exception for Guinness Stout. That actually tastes best just below room temperature. Too cold, and all that comes through is the bitter character.

I've never tried Guiness - always wanted to, though - I tend to think I wouldn't like it because I don't like stouts as much as lagers and such - but I'd still like to try it. :)

Simple marinade for steaks - olive oil, garlic and lemon juice.

Beyond that I use teriyaki sauce + seeded mustard for some, pepper steak is also good.

<~~home from urgent care with a much hurtier booboo!

I have an infection in the nail bed of my pointer on my right hand. They put 3 shots of lidocaine in my finger tip, then wedged scissors between the nail and my skin and then SQUEEZED THE HELL OUTTA MY FINGER! It hurts soooo bad and they didn't give me any pain medicine.
