A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of OAPs when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady.

She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.

After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts.

When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks her: "Why don`t you eat the peanuts yourself?"

"We can't chew them because we've no teeth", she replied.

"We just love the chocolate around them."

My girlfriend's ex's psychotic family. You wouldn't believe what goes on with them - right up to a court appearance yesterday, after the ex trashed the jail cell he was in several days ago.

Granddad comes home from his doctor and, though usually quite active with his grand-children, seems to make every effort to avoid them this day. His son notices his dad avoiding the kids and asks him why this is so.

Immediately the old man whisks his medicine prescription out of his pocket and hands it to his son.
The Gradnfather said, "Read that label. That's why!"

Banzai

Oh now that sounds about right. But as I remember it, the borg always seem to lose...

Heather Louise

huh, that never ever happens. isn't terminator like a borg thingy?? he wins everytime. in your face, in your face :P

Banzai
06-15-2007, 09:18 AM
Urban Dictionary: long pork (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=long+pork)

Heather Louise
06-15-2007, 09:19 AM
get in, i wouldn't mind trying some, and let that be a warning to all those who try to defy me :)

Cogito
06-15-2007, 09:21 AM
Long pork is what cannibals (in Africa?) called people served as meat

Banzai
06-15-2007, 09:22 AM
To be honest, I'd try it if I had the opportunity

Heather Louise
06-15-2007, 09:24 AM
so would i, if i were served it and everyone was eating it then why not, it might be nice :)

Cogito
06-15-2007, 09:24 AM
Not I. Apart from the moral aspects, it's also the most dangerous choice in terms of disease transmission

Banzai
06-15-2007, 09:24 AM
How so?

Heather Louise
06-15-2007, 09:25 AM
i would like to me, i don't have very high morals. stuff 'em i say, if it's nice, eat it :)

Cogito
06-15-2007, 09:27 AM
The closer an animal is biologically to its food source, the greater the probability that what infects the food will also attack the consumer.

Heather Louise
06-15-2007, 09:28 AM
owww, so what if you do tests on it first to make sure that the person has no diseases?

Banzai
06-15-2007, 09:29 AM
Ah, kinda like BSE then?

Cogito
06-15-2007, 09:35 AM
owww, so what if you do tests on it first to make sure that the person has no diseases?

Any idea how much testing it would take to show that a person has no communicable diseases?

You literally need to test for anything that can infect a human.

That's why cannibalism is so rare in nature - it tends to promote extinction.

Banzai
06-15-2007, 09:40 AM
I bet it's tasty, though.

Cogito
06-15-2007, 11:54 AM
More nasty than tasty, I'd expect.

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:05 PM
Nah. I hear it tastes like chicken.

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:09 PM
That's what they say about everything, including frog's legs. If frog's legs taste like chicken, I'd start buying my poultry someplace less foul.

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:16 PM
I've never tried frogs legs...

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:20 PM

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:23 PM
Oh. Have you tried kangaroo?

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:31 PM
No. I doubt it is legal to sell kangaroo meat in the US anyway.

Have you ever eaten bear meat?

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:32 PM
Nope. How does it taste?

And why would kangaroo be illegal in the US?

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:34 PM
Bear meat is very strong and gamey. I hated it.

Kangaroo meat would have to be imported, and the government is pretty restrictive on what kinds of meat can be imported. I'm not certain it would be illegal, but I suspect that it would.

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:49 PM
Pish! Letting stupid laws get in the way of what is some of the best meat I've tasted. Emu is good, too :)

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:52 PM
Emu is available from domestic farms, but I haven't tried it. Ostrich is supposedly similar in flavor, and is not bad.

Banzai
06-15-2007, 12:53 PM
Kangaroo is still my favourite. It's like very tender beef.

Cogito
06-15-2007, 12:55 PM
Maybe I'll have the chance to try it someday. Buffalo is like a very tasty, tender beef also.

coral reef

Haven't had it, but oxtail stew is incredible

Banzai
06-15-2007, 01:04 PM
Oxtail? What does that taste like?

Cogito
06-15-2007, 01:07 PM
It is a very rich beef flavor. With all the marrow, the flavor is wonderfully intense. I bought some oxtails on a whim from the supermarket the first time, and was amazed at the flavor of the stew. It needs to cook for a long time to develop the flavor and to tenderize the meat, but it is well worth it.

coral reef
06-15-2007, 01:07 PM
ahhh oxtail stew..mmmmmmm

oxtail is basically cow tail cut up

Lets go Crazy

Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
2 get through this thing called life

Electric word life
It means forever and that's a mighty long time
But I'm here 2 tell u
There's something else
The afterworld

A world of never ending happiness
U can always see the sun, day or night

So when u call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
U know the one - Dr Everything'll Be Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby

'Cuz in this life
Things are much harder than in the afterworld
In this life
You're on your own

And if de-elevator tries 2 bring u down
Go crazy - punch a higher floor

If u don't like the world you're living in
Take a look around u
At least u got friends

U see I called my old lady
4 a friendly word
She picked up the phone
Dropped it on the floor
(Sex, sex) is all I heard

Are we gonna let de-elevator
Bring us down
Oh, no Let's Go!

Let's go crazy
Let's get nuts
Let's look 4 the purple banana
'Til they put us in the truck, let's go!

We're all excited
But we don't know why
Maybe it's cuz
We're all gonna die

And when we do (When we do)
What's it all 4 (What's it all 4)
U better live now
Before the grim reaper come knocking on your door

Tell me, are we gonna let de-elevator bring us down
Oh, no let's go!

Let's go crazy
Let's get nuts
Look 4 the purple banana
'Til they put us in the truck, let's go!

C'mon baby
Let's get nuts
Yeah
Crazy

Let's go crazy

Are we gonna let de-elevator bring us down
Oh, no let's go!
Go crazy

I said let's go crazy (Go crazy)
Let's go, let's go
Go
Let's go

Dr. Everything'll be alright
Will make everything go wrong
Pills and thrills and dafodills will kill
Hang tough children

He's coming
He's coming
Coming

Take me away!

No worries. Been there, done that, lost the tee shirt.

Been divorced over a decade, neither afraid of nor eager for marriage. If there is a next time, I will choose better is all.

TVDinner

I also have been married 2 times - but I had a ruin a great friendship with the first marrage to finally get it right with the second one, lol.

I always said that I had to get divorced and go through all of that hell and terrible emotions...to meet the perfect person for me. and it was basically "at first sight" with my current wife.

Cogito
06-16-2007, 07:11 AM
My girlfriend and I have each been divorced. My ex, as bad as she was for me, cannot compete with my girlfriend's ex. He was and is a horrible excuse for a human being, constantly in trouble with the law. His entire family is Trouble with a capital "T".

We've been involved for several years. Unsurprisingly, she is not interested in getting married again.
