Cogito
06-22-2007, 08:15 PM

TVDinner
06-23-2007, 08:12 AM

SeaBreeze
06-23-2007, 08:12 AM

Bick
06-23-2007, 06:09 PM
I bake a killer Cinnamon peanut butter chocolate chip cookie.

Banzai
06-24-2007, 01:16 AM
But did you steal the cookie? Now that is the question...

Domoviye
06-24-2007, 01:46 AM
Is there any other way to get cookies?

Banzai
06-24-2007, 02:23 AM
Buy them on the black market?

Torana
06-24-2007, 04:09 AM
The only way left to get any cookies is to go and see Hulls Raven. He has got quite a large stash of them hidden away in a back pack that is stored under the floor boards of the admin and mod lounge.

Banzai
06-24-2007, 04:11 AM
Oh, so that's what that cookie smell is...

Domoviye
06-24-2007, 04:13 AM
So did he steal the cookie from the cookie jar?

Banzai
06-24-2007, 04:26 AM
We'll never know...

Torana
06-24-2007, 04:41 AM
Yes! Yes he did!

Torana

Banzai
06-24-2007, 05:19 AM
First stealing cookies, now garbage... Is there any logic to it at all?

Torana
06-24-2007, 05:22 AM
Not sure really! Bit strange don't ya think!?

Banzai
06-24-2007, 05:23 AM
Depends. You might have very nice garbage? :p

Torana
06-24-2007, 05:25 AM
It is possible

Banzai
06-24-2007, 05:32 AM
Or maybe it's something more sinister... Like he's trying to clone you!

Torana
06-24-2007, 06:10 AM
ahhhhhh RUN!

Banzai
06-24-2007, 06:27 AM

Banzai

The new Torana empire will rise up, and take the forums, before overthrowing Hulls Raven.

Banzai
06-24-2007, 06:41 AM
Nah, decaf is boring.

Bick
06-24-2007, 06:42 AM
I don't see the point of decaf... isn't coffee supposed to wake you up?

Torana
06-24-2007, 06:43 AM

Bick
06-24-2007, 04:16 PM
In the Zoo, I erm.. think.

Cogito
06-24-2007, 07:26 PM
The Roger Williams Park Zoo, in Rhode Island, has a polar bear. His pool has an observation window at the bottom end so when they throw fish to him, you can see him diving to catch and eat them from below.

Bick
06-24-2007, 08:37 PM
I have a stuffed teddy polar bear, he's fluffy.

Not all mysteries demand solution. There is room for unexplained wonder in the world.

Penned Down

ROFL (hrm, that was lame. That's all that came into my mind when I read that.)

Cogito
06-25-2007, 09:04 AM
Actually, what I really believe is that the differences between any two people are greater than the differences between the thinking patterns of men and women in general.

I really do not like preconceptions about groups of people.

Penned Down
06-25-2007, 09:09 AM
Due to the nature of the cliques that humans feel compelled to fall into, it becomes hard not to label groups of people. I share the same feeling as you do Cogito about labeling groups b/c there is a lot of individuality within the group that is never noticed due to the look/preconception of the group as a whole.

Bick
06-25-2007, 09:10 AM
Is it wierd that I don't really fall into a group?

Penned Down
06-25-2007, 09:14 AM
No I don't think it is weird, I'm the same way. I like knowing a mixture of people with different backgrounds, by falling into a group it limits being able to do that.

Cogito

I'm feeling so much better then I was yesterday. I went to see Evan Allmighty, talk about a spirit lifter. You couldn't help but laugh ever 5 seconds.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 09:31 AM
is it that good?? i thought it wouldn't be as good as Bruce Almighty. i might go and see it when it gets released in England. lol. i went to see Vacancy the other day and it was soo boring. it was meant to scary but i spent more time talking to Nick than anything else.

Bick
06-26-2007, 09:38 AM
I hate when scary movies aren't scary. Yeah, I personally thought it was pretty good. Though at first I was thinking and missed it. When my mind finally snapped out of it's trance, my cousin and I just laughed. When I laugh really hard I get a snort in my laugh x) It was so embarrassing.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 09:40 AM
haha, my mam does that. i have a mans laugh so you are allright, lol.

Bick

lol. my mam just bought Saw the other day but we are too scared to watch it, lol. is it scary??

Bick
06-26-2007, 10:03 AM
-shiver- Very much so, though it's not as bad as some I've watched.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:05 AM
lol, the scariest i have seen has to be What Lies Beneath. that terrifies me. The Descent was quite scary and all

Bick
06-26-2007, 10:06 AM
Worse I've seen I don't eve remember the name to. It was just so gory i almost vommited.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:09 AM

What your favorite movie? D= I dun really have one myself. I like too many movies.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:11 AM
my favourite movie is . . . erm . . . oh yes, Hanibal and The Silence of the Lambs. they are amazing films, i love them noth, and the novels. truely genious.

Bick
06-26-2007, 10:13 AM
Hm, I did like those. Though they were truly scary. Have you seen Hannibol uprising?

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:16 AM
i haven't seen that, no, but i have read the book recently. i didn't think they were scary as such, they just made me think.

i have the book as well, i just haven't read it D= ew@me

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:21 AM

I never read the books -is lame- Never got the chance to. Though we have them around the house somewhere.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:24 AM
lol, you should really, they are amazing i think.

Cogito
06-26-2007, 10:25 AM
I only read The Silence of the Lambs, which was very well written. It's also the only one of the movies I have seen.

To be honest, I enjoyed Clarisse more than Hannibal as a character.

Bick
06-26-2007, 10:27 AM
-has no say in this- Movie-wise though, Hanibol seemed cooler.

Heather Louise
06-26-2007, 10:28 AM
now i liked them both, i thought clarise was interesting and it was nice to have a female role, and i thought Hanibal was an amazing creation. he honeslty had me intuiqued all the way through, and still does now.

Bick

Jambalaya is a New Orleans dish, with rice, onions, tomatoes, peppers, sausage or ham, and often shrimp or other seafood. It's moderately spicy, and a wonderful comfort food. Everyone has a different Jambalaya variant. I usually make mine with hot italian sausage, shrimp, and often throw in some pepperoni.

I wonder if that's like the southern US porkpie.

Hmmm. Maybe. Never been to the US. I love tim-tams. What else is Australian food???? Don't try baked beans.. hmm, u guys probably have that anyways... Kangaroo meat!? Have you ever tried that???? :D

No, but have heard folks sing its praises!

I bake beans with bacon and real maple syrup. Real maple syrup is not overly sweet, and does not brown like cane sugar or molasses.

jambalya sounds yummy, i might experiment and attempt to make it/blow up the kitchen :p and my favourite thing to eat has to be a good old pizza from the local pizza shop. nothing can beat a 12" spag bol.

I'm told that leftover pizza makes a great breakfast. Trouble is, I don't believe there is such a thing as leftover pizza.

I like homemade pizza the best, although I usually cheat and buy the refrigerated ball of dough.

Bick
06-27-2007, 10:39 AM
Mmm, sounds good too :p we actually have some in the fridge right now but I'm full of nanners and bread.

My mum and I make our own dough with my bread machine, which is kind of cheating too x) then we invite whom ever is eating alone and wala, we have a pizza party.

Cogito

The dough takes enough time to rise and relax properly that I find it more practical to buy it. But actually making bread, I don't take shortcuts with that.

Bick
06-27-2007, 11:40 AM
I take shortcuts with the breadmaker when I make bread :p -is lazy- Though I agree on the dough D= it can take up to two hours+ to make enough for a group of people.

Yeah, this took me about 5 minutes to write x) My cousins dog wants my attension and keeps trying to get on my lap.

Cogito

My only "shortcut" is using a heavy duty stand mixer to mix dough ingredients. I don't own a breadmaker. My favorite rye bread recipe takes three days to develop the sour (yeast, rye flour, caraway seeds, water, and a whole onion) before baking day.

i made a pizza last year in food, it was quite nice actually. i have like a list of ten things that i can cook, lol. that is it. haha. i want to leanr properly though. and pizza is the best. i had pizza earlier (i made my mam buy me one after we were talking about it) a nice spag bol one, and there is a slice or two left over so that'll be my breakfast tomorrow. :)
