I have never been published before, but if I ever wrote a book which I thought was good enough for publishing then what should I do to get it published?!?!?!

Well, in most cases, you'll need an agent. Once you get that they will help you find a publisher (I think)

You don't need an agent, but you do. It really depends on the publisher, though most reputable and larger publishing houses do require an agent before they even consider your work.

You could also get your hands on a copy of the current Writer's Handbook. Lots of info there.

Are their any small time publishers that you can start with, because your more likely to be published with something big if you've already got a published book or something.
Also, What would you do getting Short Stories published, obviously in an Archive novel, but who the hell would accept that kinda thing these days?

Nexus, there's a big market for short stories online. Lots of paying markets too. Googling 'fiction submissions' usually turns up quite a bit.

Not really. Although most won't consider you unless you're older because they don't think that younger people can write well.

It's the quality of your writing that matters. Will readers be interested in the story/novel/poem you wrote?

In most instances, editors will have no idea of your age unless you tell them, or relay information that would infer your age. All they see is the words that make up your story/novel/poem (and any other material included in the correspondence: cover letter, synopsis, etc.)

There are some markets where being a student may be an asset, and some writing contests which require someone to be a certain age to compete. But I don't think that's what you were referring to.

If you're concerned that at your age you're just starting out and you do not have many (or any) writing credits, don't let that slow you down. There are plenty of writers two, three, and four times your age in the same boat.

Write a darn good story (one the editor/agent can't put down). Submit it as instructed in the guidelines and, while waiting for a reply, work on another project (or two).

nobody asks how old you are... and nobody should even mention it in a query, unless it's important to the work itself, such as being 100 years old and writing about history you lived through...

all you have to be is a good writer [or a lucky one, since so much garbage makes it into print!]

that said, you do have to be of age to sign contracts... but you can have a parent sign for you, if lucky/good enough to be offered one...

so, just sit yourself down and write!
