Hey why not have a thread donated to the talk of music and movies i noticed those topics seem very popular here you can also talk about the movie scripts and musical lyrics debate what your thoughts are and if you feel they are well written.

wouldn't that go in 'the lounge' area since the rest of the site is mainly for writing-related stuff, rather than 'appreciation' or discussion of the various already-produced products?

Unless you make it a forum donated to the music and movie genre especially writting wise. Now that would be of interest.

Well, for "writing wise", we already have a "screenplays" section and a "lyrics" section. And in Creation, there's the "scripts and screenplays" and "poetry" subsections.

But if you're just talking review/gossip/tastes kind of thing, start threads for it in The Lounge, or make a mega-massive movies thread or something.

I think it would be interesting to have a music and movie forum were we can discuss the movies theres a thread on pans labyrinth in the lounge they duiscuss all aspects of the movie. Think of a whole forum of threads doneted to what we love.

Thats what I meant in the first place when i said thread i meant forum.

So perhaps a forum akin to, and perhaps adjacent to, the Book Reviews Forum?

So just as a discussion point, why would we want music and film review forums in the Writers' Forum, when there are plenty of forums on the Internet which are dedicated to these topics?

Would the purpose be to examine these works from an author's perspective, to inspire writers?

Well it was just a suggestion after all and like the reaper says people are beginig to open more threads based on movies and music. pans lab and i noticed spiderman 3 etc. so it was just a suggestion. nothing more nothing less

Well, we won't be getting a forum exclusively for music or movies, at least in the near future.

I'd like to see the forum more writing-oriented... maybe when that happens. But I don't want the off-topic stuff to be the majority in this forum.
