Hullo, I'm Enkil, though my real name is Julian, and, obviously, I'm quite new here. Ehh, I don't know what to say so I'll just do the usual stuff.

I've been writing seriously for about a year now. Some say I have talent, but I don't believe it (I don't like my own stories that much), and that's why I'm here!

I'm a big horror fan (stories mostly, not so much movies). As such most of my stories (only one of which is completed/nearly completed, which I'll post in the horror section after this) are heavily influenced by the authors I've read, namely H.P. Lovecraft, with a sprinkling of A.E. Poe and Anne Rice (thus my handle, for you Vampire Chronicle fans out there).

Growing up in New England had an especially magnifying effect on my love and appreciation for Lovecrafts’ work, since most of it was based in the New England Boston/Rhode Island area.

I suppose that all I really have to say. Ask any questions you wish.

EDIT: Gratuitous spelling mistakes.

Ditto, welcome to Writingforums.org. How do you like Scotland, since it looks like you moved there from the states?

Scotlands quite nice, though I've already managed to catch a cold and cough, which I lovingly call the plague. :p .

What are you doing there, working or going to school?

Sorry about "the plague." I hope you feel better.

Now that's cool. You must be a prodigy indeed to go to an out of the country school. That's something I would have dreamed of.

Anyway, can't wait to see what you write.

I'm not a prodigy, I'm actually quite suprised I got in anywhere, whether it was in the states or abroad.

I've posted 2 stories so far, soon I'll post another poem or 2, maybe 3. I'm actually rather suprised at what I have almost completed, it was more than I thought. :p
