View Full Version : Strikethroughs EyezForYou 06-04-2007, 11:17 AM I would like to see this function as a tool for our writers to able to use when critiquing our work. mammamaia 06-04-2007, 03:36 PM so would i! IndianaJoan 06-04-2007, 03:39 PM Same here :) I'll suggest that to lpspider and see what comes of it! Crazy Ivan 06-04-2007, 04:07 PM I don't know if even the admin can mess with the site's HTML capabilities. Cogito 06-04-2007, 04:56 PM There is a BB Code Manager that allows a site admin to create and update BB codes (the markup enclosed by square-bracketed tags), according the the vBulletin online docs. It sounds like it is pretty easy to use. Daniel 06-05-2007, 06:29 PM We can definitely do this... I'll update you as soon as it's set up. Daniel 06-05-2007, 06:38 PM Strikethroughs do not work! Actually, they do now. :P Place around whatever you want, minus the asterisks (*) and it should be strikethroughed! EyezForYou 06-12-2007, 08:09 PM Wait a min, how'd you do that?!  EyezForYou 06-12-2007, 08:10 PM (*)testing Crazy Ivan 06-12-2007, 08:16 PM You do it like this. You put [s*] and [/s*] around something, but without the asterisks. Cogito 06-12-2007, 08:19 PM Strike that! (This was one line) Daniel, currently this expands to a DIV tag; if you change it to a SPAN tag it won't cause a line break before and after the strikethrough. Alternately, you could expand it to a STRIKE tag instead of a style specifier. By the way (Eyez or anyone else), anytime you want to see the BB code that created an effect, hit the Quote button and you can see the code in the editor pane. EyezForYou 06-12-2007, 08:29 PM thanks Time to work on other people's critique. Daniel 06-12-2007, 09:35 PM Strike that! Cogito, you're annoying observant, ahem. Correct. Should be Is Fixed. Thanks. :P mammamaia 06-13-2007, 03:58 PM if it's so easy, why doesn't the admin add the icon to the tool bar? Cogito 06-13-2007, 04:02 PM That may be more difficult. I'm not sure whether the BB Code Manager supports that. And thanks, Daniel, for the rapid fix! mammamaia 06-13-2007, 04:03 PM ah, so!... oh, well... at least now i know how to do it 'by hand'... thanks! Cogito 06-13-2007, 04:05 PM Hey! Who you calling an "Ah so"? I resemble that remark! Daniel 06-13-2007, 08:59 PM This is a strikethrough. We don't have a strikethrough button in the editor. :( Yes, we do! :D Daniel 06-13-2007, 08:59 PM MM, Cog, thanks. I hadn't thought of adding it to the editor - it was actually quite easy. Cogito 06-13-2007, 09:08 PM Excellent! I guess the BB Code Manager (in the right hands) is more powerful than I realized. Daniel 06-13-2007, 10:16 PM ^ hah. Yup. There's a field for "button image/url" or some such thing. All I had to do was enter the url to the image. :p mammamaia 06-14-2007, 05:18 PM let's hear it for our glorious leader! hip, hop, huzzah!!! |
