It says this on the song lyrics thing on the main page:
Though song lyrics are a form of poetry, and poetry a form of song lyrics, they both have district, different qualities. Post your song lyrics (and songs themselves) here.
Should that be 'distinct'?
And while we're on the subject of this, I think that little description should be changed. It's confusing, and we should keep those simple and to the point. I'm thinking something just like:
"Here you can let everyone see the songs you have written, or any poems that have been put to song. Expect some criticizing and don't forget to give your own advice to help others improve."
I think that in the original one, all that suff about lyrics and poetry having similarities and differences is unessecary. Like writing a paper for school, you want to try to keep as close to the point as possible w/o bogging your reader down with words.
