Hello, I wanted to drop by and say hi. I enjoy writing and reading. I haven't been published and don't really want to be. (How about that, a writer who doesn't want to be published:eek::D) I write short stories as a hobby and something enjoyable to do. I hope to share some other peoples work, pick up some tips, make friends and do some learning while I am here. See you around the forums..

Hi Rusty, this is a great place to congregate whether you write for an audience of one or wish to publish for an audience numbering in the thousands.

Wander around, kick the tires, read some submissions and reviews, and get to know the strange but friendly denizens of this site. It's best, but not required, that you meet people here and even review a couple of submissions before posting your own works for comments. That way, you'll have a better idea how to profit from the reviews, and when to stick to your original instincts; and you are more likely to get a member to put the time and effort in that makes a review most helpful.

So welcome, hope to see you around often, and most importantly, have fun!

as a fellow newcomer i must say that if you have joined any other writing websites in the past, this one is better. haha hands down, its awesome. and everyone here is really nice and you'll learn a lot here. so good luck and i hope to read something of yours soon, probably after i finish school two more days! yay! anyway, welcome and have fun!
