View Full Version : Virus
Charisma 08-08-2007, 02:11 AM A viral fever has spread in my city. I hate fallign sick, and this is even worse. Your body temperature goes up to 103 F and keep fallign and rising. You feel uncomfy and flu dominates you. Urrgghhh! My entire household has it.
Good news: I'm ok!
Bad news: How long?
I have a sports finale on Friday and Saturday, followed by a vacation. I don't know how my siblings and parents are planning to manage, but since they don't have a gala to worry about, and this fever should end by that time, they are on the safe side. The problem is with me. If I catch it now...it will be simply terrible!!! I want tips on avoiding this weird virus, and if someone feels this is kind of fatal do tell me. My parents...might want to live.
Domoviye 08-08-2007, 02:17 AM Bar your doors, and board up the windows. This unnatural flu is clearly the beginning of a zombie epidemic.
Or I could just need some sleep.
Charisma 08-08-2007, 02:31 AM L-O-L. I'm dazed.
adamant 08-08-2007, 02:42 AM Uh ... keep hydrated, make sure you're eating regularly, take some vitamins, try not to stay in cramped areas with a lot of people (esp. if they are poorly ventilated) ... also, be courteous to others if you get it, don't want it spreading even futher
I don't know if any of that is of any use with that zombie virus ... but I tried
Charisma 08-08-2007, 02:44 AM I hate water (as far as drinking is concerned), but I'll try :).
Domoviye 08-08-2007, 02:55 AM It doesn't have to be water, tea sweetened with honey is also very good for you. Its better if its hot, but some herbal teas are excellent cold.
And Adamant avoiding lots of people, especially in cramped areas, is the best advice you can give when dealing with a zombie virus.
Staying alone or with a few people in a comfortable confined area, with plenty of ventilation is also good advice.
Torana 08-08-2007, 04:38 AM lemon and honey drinks are a good one to try, don't always work but tastes better than water :D
Raven 08-08-2007, 05:42 AM Too True.
dushechka 08-08-2007, 09:05 AM This reminds me of I Am Legend.. just because it all started out as a "sickness." : p
Either way, just keep rested and hydrated. Can always take some extra Vitamin C, that tends to help.
Raven 08-08-2007, 09:58 AM Well with Summer coming to an end looks like the UK floods will be gone as will this darned heatwave that is passing through. I so welcome the cold weather.
Charisma 08-08-2007, 12:41 PM Thanks :D By now, I think the chances of catching this fever are very little, but let's guard ourselves anyways :)
Baywriter 08-08-2007, 12:57 PM I once had a virus where I threw up every five minutes on the dot for about ten hours. Eventually, I had to drink some water just so I had SOMETHING to get out of me. Ugh. *shivers* It was terrible. After, I was sick (But not quite THAT sick) for six days. I couldn't sit up at all.
Budhabee 08-08-2007, 01:33 PM Yes honey & lemon in a cup of boiling hot water. Add one oz of Rum. Thar ya go.:D
Charisma 08-08-2007, 09:13 PM Thanks people :) And that virus, Baywriter...was not zombie virus. That was bumblebee virus. :D Kiddin'.
Torana 08-08-2007, 09:21 PM I am still recovering from the virus that was going round here. Ya get a nasty cough with it that just never wants to go away......Honey and lemon drinks do go down nicely though. :)
Cogito 08-08-2007, 09:25 PM especially if you throw in a shot of rum
Charisma 08-08-2007, 09:32 PM Good luck with it Torana :)and we don't have rum around here...
Torana 08-08-2007, 09:32 PM never tried that but I will tonight hahahahhahahaha
Cogito 08-08-2007, 09:33 PM warmed :)
Torana 08-08-2007, 09:35 PM Of course!
