A great horror movie.:p Scavenger 08-10-2007, 11:13 PM I just got back from the theatre (like, ten minutes ago), and the adrenaline is still rushing through my veins - I was having a lot of trouble driving anywhere close to the speed limit on the way home. I saw the latest installment of the Die-Hard series, and I'm all excited over it. I have a weakness for action films, and Bruce Willis is nothing but an action star. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a thrill rush, and the plot's not half-bad, either. Dubious in places, perhaps, but functional. Cheers. LikeLightToTheFlies 08-10-2007, 11:50 PM Last movie I saw was 300. Typical guy flick. xD pyrox91992 08-10-2007, 11:57 PM last one i watched was....um....................harry potter and the order of the pheonix it was not that bad, pretty good, but still, like all movies, was nothing like the book Torana 08-11-2007, 01:34 AM ummmm Stellaluna. It's a kids movie and I had to watch it when I had to drop Jon off at the airport. Not bad for a kids movie :D:p dushechka 08-11-2007, 05:06 AM In theaters - Becoming Jane.. one of the few chick flicks I actually like. I don't really consider it one though. At home - Enemy of the State I'm guessing. Sweet movie that is. Torana 08-11-2007, 05:08 AM Enemy Of The State is a pretty good movie actually. Watched that a few times now. I prefer horror though. I watched Saw 1 and 2 like 3 weeks ago now. I just gotta watch number 3 again lol Heather Louise 08-11-2007, 06:47 AM i watched the Dark last night, a very complicated and weird film. quite scary though. Domoviye 08-11-2007, 07:21 AM The Simpson's Movie, in German, with Chinglish (this is not insulting, its what you call English that has been horribly translated in China) subtitles, in a hostel. This is why I don't buy dvd's of movies that just got into theatres. Torana 08-11-2007, 08:39 AM Actually that would be pretty awesome to watch in German hey. Their language can be quite aggressive at times so it would make the movie quite hilarious. Cogito 08-11-2007, 08:41 AM Yeah without the talents of the real voice actors behind the Simpsons, it would fall short. PrincessGarnet 08-12-2007, 01:04 PM I quite like the simpsons in spanish. I think it's done well, although the french version is strange as Homer's voice sounds intelligent. But I don't think it would matter what language the simpsons movie is in it was pretty poor! That was the last film I saw. Banzai 08-12-2007, 01:39 PM Chinglish (this is not insulting, its what you call English that has been horribly translated in China) subtitles Too true. Me and some mates were watching Die Hard 4 and Harry Potter 5 which were both Chinese pirate copies, and the subtites were atrocious. The spelling was fine, but it made no sense, and it was definitely not what was being said. The last movie I saw was The Simpsons Movie on wednesday (hurrah for Orange Wednesdays). It was actually a lot better than I expected. Heather Louise 08-12-2007, 02:17 PM i loved the Simpsons movie, it was offit. and i am going to watch Surf's up tommorrow, with animated penguins. hurray for nick being a child like me. :D Jolly 08-12-2007, 10:04 PM The Testament of Dr. Mambuse. Old black and white movie. Its a little hard to put into words. Some parts were incredibly bizzar and creepy. While other scenes seem to be flat attempts at comedy. Overall, I thought it was ok. rml8607 08-12-2007, 11:14 PM Are you a fan of old movies? I was just watching Vincent Price Day on Turner Classic Movies Night Haunter 08-13-2007, 06:06 AM The last movie I saw was, Blood Diamond. Just gotten hold of it on dvd. Not a bad movie. slow in parts though. Jolly 08-13-2007, 08:48 AM Are you a fan of old movies? I was just watching Vincent Price Day on Turner Classic Movies I try to be. Though I don't get to see TCM much. Where there any good Vincent Van Price movies? I have alawys wanted to see The Last Man on Earth. Eoz Eanj 08-13-2007, 09:17 AM I last saw Fantastic Four 2 Silver surfer was cool. Other than that a 'fantastic' waste of money. Raven 08-13-2007, 09:18 AM Other than that a 'fantastic' waste of money. I thought that about the first one hence the reason i haven't seen the second. rizzle_t 08-14-2007, 05:01 PM Transformers last night. for the third time. It’s a horribly written motion picture quite frankly. but the action and special effects as well as some really good acting from Shia Lebouf make it appealing rather than appalling lol. Not to mention all the very attractive people in the move that draw both testosterone and estrogen. A good move, by no means a "film." But who am I to tear the movie down I’ve seen it three times. luke_mushu_2010 08-14-2007, 10:00 PM I went to see Underdog earlier today and it was alright. Before that I went to see Rush Hour 3. Now that was great, not as good as the last two, but it was still funny. Now i just gotta watch Superbad... Alice in Wonderland 08-15-2007, 03:48 PM 'Fractured'. I watched it today with my dad. It has Anthony Hopkins play a man who attempts to murder his wife, putting her in a coma. Most of the story is about his trial and the prosecutors working life... It's pretty good. Some great acting. 8/10 SeaBreeze 08-17-2007, 05:29 AM I'm probably goign to watch the simpsons movie tomorrow and die hard four if we have enough time. :D Heather Louise 08-17-2007, 07:02 AM i want to go and see Rush hour 3, it looks offit. on the advert where he slaps the asian guy for talking French. :p SeaBreeze 08-17-2007, 07:26 AM lol. dushechka 08-17-2007, 09:40 AM IT - 7/10. Good "scary" (only a few scenes get to me) movie, and yes, the ending does suck. The Last King Of Scotland - 8.5/10 - I really enjoyed this, a little long in my opinion, but good nonetheless. : ) rml8607 08-17-2007, 12:41 PM I try to be. Though I don't get to see TCM much. Where there any good Vincent Van Price movies? I have alawys wanted to see The Last Man on Earth. Last Man on Earth is a great movie. You need to see it. DId you hear they are remaking it with Will Smith? I'm not sure how that will turn out. I'm usually not a fan of remaking old movies. Every August TCM does SUmmer Under the STars and every day is devoted to a different star. Its pretty awesome, you should check it out. Yesterday was Elvis and I think today is Maureen O'hara. Banzai 08-17-2007, 07:18 PM Last night I watche Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End on a Chinese pirate copy (oh, the irony). Aside from the usual entertainment of Chinglish subtitles, it wasn't half bad. Better than the second one, but still not as good as the first. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it. (Oh, by the way, did anyone notice the similarity between Beckett's ship- the Endeavor, I think- and HMS Victory? It's been bugging me...) Kit 08-17-2007, 07:25 PM Lol I'd have to watch it again to comment really... Last film I watched was Resident Evil - I liked it :D rml8607 08-18-2007, 01:29 AM I just got back from watching Superbad - so funny! I loved that movie, i laughed so hard that i almost peed my pants. The whole theatre was roaring with laughter. GO SEE IT! |
