Just had a weird idea to start a thread about things we've bought in the past, and ended up hating for one reason or another.

View Full Version : Bought something? Hate it? adamant 08-11-2007, 10:31 AM Just had a weird idea to start a thread about things we've bought in the past, and ended up hating for one reason or another. Torana 08-11-2007, 10:51 AM Yeah a pair of jeans that cost me $300. I thought they were awesome till I got them home. They were too big so yeah I hated them!!! Other wise not that I can think of right now. adamant 08-11-2007, 11:00 AM Why didn't you take them back then? Torana 08-11-2007, 11:02 AM They fitted my friend perfectly so I just gave em to her. She was pretty happy with em actually! Night Haunter 08-11-2007, 11:03 AM my camcoda. god i wish id listen to Raven and bought a sony. mine is a Bush and so crap. adamant 08-11-2007, 11:08 AM They fitted my friend perfectly so I just gave em to her. She was pretty happy with em actually! You gave a friend $300 jeans? WTF?! Who wouldn't be happy with that? Torana 08-11-2007, 11:13 AM heh too true lol Night Haunter 08-11-2007, 11:16 AM oh and my dvd player i bought a pioneer and again damn it wish id bought a sony. adamant 08-11-2007, 11:21 AM Haunter, don't you try this stuff out first? Couldn't you take it back at one point or another? Don't you research what you buy? Why haven't you listened to Raven? Torana 08-11-2007, 11:24 AM lol yeah Night Haunter you should check things out before you buy them aye!! lol Also when you buy clothing...try them on first lmao adamant 08-11-2007, 11:26 AM Why are you spending $300 on jeans in the first place? Night Haunter 08-11-2007, 11:33 AM lmao off. trouble with me is I tend to not know what makes them tick only that i want them to work. But Raven has mentioned once or twice "You should've boaught a Sony" lol I gues i look for cheap as for taking them back im afraid i opne them and you know about 6 months to a year later they well you know. adamant 08-11-2007, 11:36 AM as for taking them back im afraid i opne them and you know about 6 months to a year later they well you know. What? Though, looking for cheaper objects isn't all bad... but you still have to for something with quality. Buying a more expensive item could save money in the long run though... not having to more and more cheap items to replace one another. Night Haunter 08-11-2007, 11:38 AM it seems that way. but what can i say? Torana 08-11-2007, 11:41 AM Why are you spending $300 on jeans in the first place? DESIGNER LABEL and they were amazing actually. I can't exactly remember what they look like now, but oh they were gorgeous jeans hey. I couldn't help it!! :p And Haunter I can just imagin Raven saying that to you lol and then saying I told you so lmao adamant 08-11-2007, 11:47 AM Diesel? Seven? True Religion? Evisu? Torana 08-11-2007, 09:09 PM It was a few years back now I don't actually remember the name brand. Like well over 5 years ago now. adamant 08-11-2007, 09:10 PM If I bought $300 jeans, I would remember them forever. Torana 08-11-2007, 09:12 PM Yeah so would I if they were still mine and had fitted me. I got way too much clothing to remeber hey. Think female and 2 wardrobes and half still packed away. Kind a puts it into perspective. adamant 08-11-2007, 09:17 PM Ah, weird Aussie-Euro dingo-lingo. ITz a CkLoseTte! Did you ever think, "Hmm... maybe I have too many clothes?" I mean, if you can give away a pair of $300 jeans... maybe you should cut back? dushechka 08-11-2007, 09:37 PM Most likely the only pointless things I've bought were books (pointless because I haven't read them yet.. and who knows if I will). I usually only buy if I actually want the stupid things. There's one good thing about my money saving ways. rml8607 08-11-2007, 10:00 PM My dad bought me a laptop and no less than 3 months later it was busted. I hated that damn thing adamant 08-11-2007, 10:18 PM Was it an HP? and what exactly do you mean by "busted"? wordwizard 08-11-2007, 11:20 PM well I always buy realllllly cute shoes....that kill me feet. I want to kiss and slap the person (at the same time) who made stilletos. :( Domoviye 08-12-2007, 01:52 AM Buying a sword was a silly idea. It cost 200rmb, so about 28 dollars US. The problem was it was hard to pack, and it kept hitting low hanging objects, tops of doors, and other things. It did seem useful a few days ago, but that was the only time it seemed at all useful after owning it for over a month. And then I left it on a train by accident. adamant 08-12-2007, 06:00 AM Aw, you left your sword? That almost sucks as bad as leaving your really cool umbrella when it's raining, eh? And wyzzard, I'm not much a fan of stilettos, seems like the elegant look could be conquered with something less painful. Torana 08-12-2007, 06:06 AM well I always buy realllllly cute shoes....that kill me feet. I want to kiss and slap the person (at the same time) who made stilletos. :( lol I actuall love wearing stilletos. I spent 6 years wearing them and can't stand wearing flat heeled show now. I have two pairs of sneakers (both pink lmao believe it or not) and I hate them. I always feel like I am about to fall over backwards aye. adamant 08-12-2007, 06:17 AM Wow... you must have to do everything in them, seeing as how your feet are more like the flats. The girls' shoe I really like is the Mary Jane. I don't know what it is about it, but they're really cool. Cogito 08-12-2007, 07:09 AM This Sony Vaio laptop. I bought it a few years ago, but the keyboard has always been flaky, and it keeps freezing up. It's a spare, I only use it upstairs in my room. But it is annoying when it's acting up. adamant 08-12-2007, 07:12 AM Really? Those things are about as expensive as a Mac laptop. Somehow, my sister has pried off the 's' and 'n' keys off my mother's laptop. And now, I think that's what she's trying to give me for college. It's not all that bad of a laptop though. Averatec (Pentium 4 HT)... battery is practically dead though. Torana 08-12-2007, 07:20 AM Wow... you must have to do everything in them, seeing as how your feet are more like the flats. The girls' shoe I really like is the Mary Jane. I don't know what it is about it, but they're really cool. I know Mary Jane shoes are not bad I guess. But yeah I can even run in them now lol I got so many pairs of them hey and I can do just about anything in them now. Frost 08-13-2007, 05:02 AM Run in high-heels? Your could probably also dance on a tight rope. ive never been unhappy with a gift or purchase. Im a wise shopper. wordwizard 08-13-2007, 08:57 PM sigh stilletos are just so damn sexy. You can wear them with almost anything. Plus yes they are NOW easy to walk in, but the pain does appear sometimes, but it isn't always painful. I heart shoes. Eoz Eanj 08-13-2007, 11:52 PM I’ve never been a shoe person. I have maybe four pairs of shoes- consisting of trainers, sneakers, thongs (aka: flip flops, double pluggers) and black work shoes. Anyway, as for things I’ve regretted buying, I think every piece of cheap candy I’ve ever bought has been great waste of money, it’s slowly becoming a realization that just because a bag of lollies is on special for under 50 cents does not mean I need to buy it. |
