So, even I myself expected to be at school in 20 mins. Though, even If I had school, I wouldn't be able to go. Electricity is out for one school, so as to not let the other district schools get ahead, they made the first day tommorow. After hearing that news, I was dressed by then, I walked to brush my teeth. I walked back to the computer, and wala. I scream in pain, waking up everyone in the house, as I see the end of a screw in my foot. To make it worse, it was a screw T.T not a nail. Tore up my foot.

It wasn't rusty though, just a screw I had lost when my mirror fell. Still called my mum though, not sure if I'll need the shot.

When was your last tetanus booster? It doesn't matter that the screw wasn't rusty. It's a nasty puncture wound that could become infected, and is difficult to adequately clean.

You are best to get it dressed and cleaned properly as there is always particles of dirt and so forth on things like that that can get inside and yeah they can cause infections......somet like that anyways but yeah hope it feels better soon!

Yeah, first thing I did was splash some alcohol on it. Hurt, but yeah :p We have it bandaged up and wrapped. Not sure about the tetnus shot. Is that the nasty one that makes your arm hurt? If so, yeah :p got that two years ago.

Tetanus shots are good for 10 years so you should be alright.

Just take it easy on your foot today, and keep it clean.

Still, she should be fine in that regard. There are other infections besides tetanus, so it is still important to clean the wound and watch for signs of infection - swelling, redness, discharges, and especially red lines radiating outward from the wound.
