Well, I don't speak French or Spanish (or Cockney, for that matter :p), so that could create communication problems...

WhispWillow

Well you can teach them it, the misunderstanding can be fun!

erm Like a few said before me I would choose both, I have no preferences. If I had to choose I would choose spanish, because I can kind of understand a bit of it.

Absolutely no preferences here. All my choices like that are based on individual characteristics, not ethnicity.

The same with me 100%.

Although I'd imagine that actually speaking the same language factors in somewhere along the line...

It helps :). Hell, a lot of native WASP-type Americans can't speak American English; and I'd have to say that gets a demerit in my ledger.

An ability to communicate has to be a factor in any relationship. But then, maybe it's I who should learn another language.

Yeah... gotta talk right, nah mean? It's hurt my relationships in the past... college is gonna be a new scene tho, so I'ma get that right when I get there

Well, college populations tend to prefer you talk left - conservatives have an uphill battle in Academia.

personality is automatically my first choice, so whichever one tends to have a good personality. je parle frencais, mais ne parle pas espagnol, so u would think i would go french, but hey, i dont care, my heart is owned at the moment by mon amour and because of that i dont have a preference cuz all i need is her :D:D:D

Well I have dated a spnish guy before and he was such a hunny. I miss that guy so much he was such a sweetie and we remained friends when we broke up too.

Never dated a french a guy before but I'd rather a spanish guy :p

Well, barring my boyfriend who has some Macedonian in him, I like the thought of Italians as well as French and Spanish guys. Mainly because I have been brainwashed by Mills and Boon!

I'd say both. With maybe a slight weighting to les françaises due to the amount of time I've spent in their fine country.

I've studied spanish for 5 years and lived there for about a year - so I choose french men :P

In serious if we are to so crude as to reduce people to a generalisation then I really would choose french men. Spanish tend to be shorter and my first time in Paris I dropped my case and this lovely french man picked it up for me and said 'voila' and i was in love :P

i am not bothered which, i think they both have attractive and unattractive people. i would say, and yes, this is me being sterio-typical, the best looking Europeans would be Italians. but honestly, i don't think it makes much difference. i always think of the French having a better sence of fashion, but again that is me using sterio-types.
