I figured, hey, why not, so i made a thread dedicated to discussing what life is for, and i know that this is also the ame of a song by creed, and yes, i may be agnostic/athiest, but i love creed, but yea, what do you all think this life is for?

Living. Take it as it comes, day by day, and try to do what's right. Otherwise your conscience keeps you up all night.

I think the purpose of this life is to find that one person you'll be willing to do anything for, and to stick with that person for the rest of this life, and the next.

Well i was raised catholic, but lately i have been having quite a crisis of faith. I don't know what life is for any more. All i know is that its short and you have to live your life to the fullest. No holding back, and love as much as possible.

Life seems partly like a quest for immortality in some ways. What Cogito was saying is part of it... you want to make a difference (which helps you be remembered). You also want to have children, which furthers your genes -- and yourself in a way. You have to do what you can to survive, and lengthen how long your family stays on this planet. Et cetera.

However, there is another reason to live... I can't seem to formulate my thoughts on that at the second though.

love is a wonderful reason, but we are not allowed to be together, its much like a long distance relationship, even though she is only 5 miles or so from my house. we are not allowed to date yet, but we love eachother so we are not caring wut our parents say, we are sticking together. After highschool, we are talking aobut moving to new york and into an apartment, and we are just planning our lives. i have been sneaking over to her house while her parents are at work, and today is our 2 month anniversairy, again, for we have been together of and on a few times due to parents, this time we decided that we are not gonna wait until we get their permission. i was in a bad mood today because i was unable to go to her house today but i feel better because i talked to her for 2 hours on the phone and tonight we are going to talk again, we talk everyday at least twice a day, and even after we get off the phone, we both txt because we still want to talk but dont want to get caught by the parents

Parents that do that will end up with two types of children: the ones that follow whatever they say, and will probably take anger out on others... and the ones that are going to disobey just about every rule they put down. Well, it seems to be that way, more or less.

Yet your always unhappy. I think you need to rethink what your saying. For a person who spends his time making others happy you appear to be very unhappy.

Id suggest you try thinking of yourself and not others when it is clearly other people been happy that is making you unhappy. Concentrate on yourself before concentrating on others. If you cannot make yourself Happy you certainly can't make others happy.

We watch each other we work as the team not in a team. I'm afraid if we're protecting someone important then our team mates that fall are gone.

But we are told we watch each other if one falls we stop until we can move again.

Alright... but would would you do in this situation: You and a teammate are wounded (neither would be fatal), yet you're the only one that can do anything at this point.

Whats the objective first.

To me, life is what you make out of it. Religious people say they have the answer and you're supposed to take it on faith... taking someone else's devised thoughts on this topic.

I think we're here to enjoy life. To learn, to help, and to improve ourselves and the universe.

... I don't pretend to know everything, but that's my two cents worth.
