Raven 08-23-2007, 02:08 PM Rybok’s Rat Pack II
The devils Advocate
The year 2676 Humanity is governed by the Colonial Alliance.
What are Rat Packs
The Rat packs are Penal convicts from the military from across the colonial galaxy.
The colonial command use these convicts on the most dangerous of missions when the odds of survival are highly stacked against survivors.
The Rat Packs aren’t created from any penal criminal, they units are created from the worst of the penal prisons. Each single Rat pack individual is classed as a highly dangerous living human.
The colonial command offer these convicts a chance of retribution, in extreme cases a decrease of their sentences or even taken from death row. In very extreme cases they have been known to be offered a pardon.
Rat Packs are also lead by an officer ranking between a Lieutenant to a colonel. Many of these officers have broken the law in some way and sentenced to leading these dangerous individuals on suicide missions.
Before a mission begins the colonial medical staff inject all Rat Packs with nano-bots that contain explosives once these nano-bots are in your blood they can be detonated to kill you. This will only happen should the Colonel be attacked by one of the Rat Pack. A fail-safe if you like.
The Mission
The Rat Pack team Have been dropped onto the planet Verdous 2. The planet has been infected with a virus. The first stage is to secure the military science compound. It’s a square mile by a square mile. Its infested with Reavers. (Reavers are men and women who have lived on the edge of space for too long and been driven mad. They are complete insane. They have mutilated themselves some have the ability to use sonic sound with their vocal codes to kill people through sound. They are cannibals and will rape you while feasting on you. Should they catch you expect a very slow death. They have varied weapons. They wear dead flesh for clothing or very warn clothing mixed with dead flesh. Some are cybernetic. Those are the most dangerous. The compound must be cleansed.)
The second half of the operation is to move on into the fields which are very windy. So outside equipment will be required. One by one the satanic cult organisation Crux. Their leader must be executed. This involves team work. Once this has been completed you must steal a craft and vacate the planet returning to the Nearest space station. Under Colonial territory.
The GM (Games master)
The GM will set tasks and parameters, should two characters engage they will have to confer with the GM. The GM will also describe certain scenery from time to time. The GMS word is law.
Charactor Profiles
When you create your character remember you are playing in this charactors personality. Therefore it is best to be the character during game play. For example if you dislike a person than that should be acted out. (eg Fed loathes Terry. Fred should potray that. If you’re a murder then portray that in your kills.)
Weapons
When picking equipment. Pick wisely.
Weapons have ammo and you carry so much. Heavy weapon holders may not run fast and would proberly stagger if running long distances. Same with armour. The weaker the armour the easier your injuries occur. Also guns are not always reliable therefore jamming could occur.

Colonel Rybok is an extremely strong and very muscular individual, having thought in so many battles and has a strict regime of body building daily and is and extremely fit person. He speaks few words, unless dishing out orders or Kill chants. Rybok is one of the most experienced men alive. He also has the ability to survive just about any odds. (Some say he was gifted by the devil others say he is just lucky. Those that know him dare not speak about him. On occasion some have been known to challenge him. Those that have lay seet feet under ground now.)
Saul Rybok always has a large supply of fat Cigars on his person and can usually be seen smoking one.

His left arm from the elbo down is bionic and has three blades that can emerge and retract when in a fight. Across his thighs and chest he wears a strong kind of body armour again custom made. Banzai 08-23-2007, 02:46 PM Its infested with Reavers
Oh, come on. You're just begging for me to make a Mal Reynolds character :p
Name: Julius H. Cromwell
Age: 38
Sex: Male
Crime: High Treason (he was a high ranking general in who defected to revolutionary forces attempting to overthrow the Colonial government)
Sentence: Death- by dispersion (If you can do it, Raven, so can I :p)
Specialty: Strategist, with considerable skill in infantry warfare
Weapons: Standard issue pulse pistol with five magazines (each one good for one hundred shots on a medium setting), and a sword which is rumoured to have been salvaged from the ruins of the Orion 66-XII station, and to have belonged to a man named Benjamin Valentine.
Armour: Light armour, to allow for agile attacks and swift retreats
Personality: A mostly quiet man, former-general Cromwell is a gifted orator, who can inspire men or persuade them to his way of thinking. He is mostly deep in thought, and has a quick mind that reacts to danger and events quicker than most computers. His infantry strategies are famous throughout the galaxy, and his defection nearly cost the Colonial Alliance the civil war (which in the end was only averted by treason within the revolutionaries themselves). As a result of this, he is paranoid, and sees betrayal in every shadow.
Appearance: After a lifetime in the military, his appearance is immaculate. His silver hair is kept short, his face clean shaven, and his clothes (a black t-shirt and black trousers) are always neat and ordered. His eyes are white, due to occular impants replacing his eyes (which give him night vision, infra-red, and various other visual advantages). He is tall thin, and not particularly well-muscled, but has enough intimidation in his appearance that most will steer clear of him, regardless of his fame.
Cogito 08-23-2007, 05:17 PM Name: Jared Slovnyk

Sex: M
Crime: Terrorism, Murder

The pulse rifle uses power packs that can be recahrged from a variety of power sources, but recharging may require time. It is also prone to overheating after prolonged use, risking a fatal power rupture. Jared carries one spare power pack, good for about 250 pulses or 30 minutes of sustained firing (but more than 5 minutes without a chance to cool risks a pump chamber rupture).
Armour: Medium (Impact distributing suit with light-activated reflective outer skin, capable of reflecting brief hits from energy weapons utilizing infrared to ultraviolet light energy. Will not deflect sustained laser fire, nor can it stop direct hits from high velocity or massive/explosive projectiles).
Personality: Loner, sullen, but keenly observant. Chronically paranoid, a born killer - one of his few pleasures. He rarely displays emotion, even when killing, nor does he often raise his voice, when he speaks at all.

Piss her off and you found yourself you new worst enemy. Smokes way too much and only smiles after a kill.

AGE 22
SEX Female
CRIME Murder of the Alliance member that set up her sister; Ghost
SENTENCE Forty years jail.
SPECIALTY Classified

She wants to learn about her sisters whereabouts from Rybok, who she thinks knows where her sister was taken after the first space station mission. She also holds a wealth of information. She was genetically enhanced with alien DNA, a new breed of invintry. Both her and Ghost grew up and were trained together until they were fifteen years of age, making her think of Ghost as a sister.
APPEARANCE Killara has black obsidian colored eyes, solid. Her skin is alabaster as has pixie like features. She could pass easily as Ghost if it weren't for her solid black eyes and her dark blue hair that's cut short and managable. Her clothes are black military issue combat boots, Black pants that have several pockets that can contain ammo, A black belt with the buckle blackened out to prevent reflection, a form fitting kevlar vest over her sports bra and a black singlet which is covered by an open black dress shirt. I hope that covers it anyways....

Night Haunter 08-27-2007, 11:19 AM General Sinclair stood facing the room by the boards at the back. Tucked under his arm was his wooded pointer stick gold tipped. The General was in his early sixties. Stood by the doors to the room were two armed guards. The chairs facing the back wall were filled with the recent Rat Pack unit. Apart from the Colonel stood at the end of the room with his back to the wall and a cigar smoking away in his mouth, the unit were clad in their arm restraints.
“The planet Verdous 2 is much like Earth but has a no population apart from that of scientists and military operations. We lost contact with the planet over three months ago. Later we realised that cultists had populated the planet and to add to the situation Reavers had also made a claim taking control of the science lab. Both factions seem to be avoid one another.”
The General pointed his pointer to the map on the main board.
“We will be dropping you in two miles from the coast in the ocean you will have to make your own ways coast side. We don’t want to alert the targets to imminent attack. You will be supplied with dingy’s and paddles.” The General chuckled away to himself.
“Once you reach the coast make your way silently through the science lad download the files and take care of all Reaver targets as possibly able.”
The General pointed his pointer to the next section of the map.
“The second half of the operation is to move on into the fields which are very windy. So outside equipment will be required. You’ll need to One by one take out the satanic cult organisation Crux. Their leader must be executed he is not allowed to vacate the planet returning to the nearest space station. Under Colonial territory.”
The General began to exit the room.
“As you’re all aware should one of you turn on Colonel Rybok you will be killed by the nanos in your blood been triggered. Be ready to leave within the next hour.”
Night Haunter 08-27-2007, 11:19 AM The Shuttle vibrated from the turbulence of descent, the pilot glided his hands across his control panel. “We’re experiencing turbulence. Strap up.” He called through to the rear compartment of the shuttle. His co-pilot looked at him and smiled. “You warned them.”
They both chuckled.
Colonel Rybok’s face remained set into a grimace whilst he sat by the cockpit door strapped into his seat, smoking one of his cigars allowing the smoke to fill up across the compartment. Sat closest to him was the convict, Julius H. Cromwell. The good Colonel looked him up and down. The man was 38, and had once held a high rank. But his crime had his rank stripped from him and carried the sentence Death- by dispersion. The Colonel smiled at that. Because unlike him Julius had, had his rank stripped because he was a traitor to the colonial alliance. And his punishment seemed fitting that he should fall and give up his life in their service.
Julius looked back at the colonel, who sat with his face set to a grimace. Julius was a tall man but grey haired at his early age. And his eyes blinked more than the others due to his ocular implants.
Julius could feel the emotions towards him from the group as each would glance upon him from time to time. After all whatever their crime it was not treachery. And he could feel the disgust from each one towards himself.
Colonel Rybok had nothing but disgust for traitors. So chose to look onto the next.
Jared Slovn, 27, and sentenced to death, after 4 appeals failed the colonial command had decided he would be useful after all. Both Jared and Rybok eye balled each other. Both men had a hate for the other. Jared looked on at Rybok with malice and hatred, while the good Colonel looked back with disgust at the terrorist. Yet both men carried a strange respect for one another. Both wondered if the other would fall in the field on this mission.
The colonel looked on at Rion (Talanea) Age: 23. The shuttle shuddered back and force from the turbulence. The crew rocked back and forth. Yet the Colonel kept his gaze on the women though her eyes stared at the floor beneath her feet. This bitch was a murderer. Just like the others. But a murderer with a skill that has kept her alive. No doubt she was a dangerous lady.
The Colonel took his cigar from his lips exhaling smoke into the compartment.
Another woman Killar or shadow. This lady was nuts and no doubt sent here to simply die, unless she was unlucky enough to live to see another day. Her gaze remained at the closed hatch. The colonel exhaled more smoke from his lungs and turned to glimpse Arroa.
Though the Colonel mused this wonder, she had used mental torture before having a pleasure in murder. The Colonel considered her with wise thoughts. She sat eyes closed. Though she was slim she had an attractive element about her. Her dust brown her remained neatly tied. Yet this wonder was considered very impatient. That in itself was a danger to the mission. She would have to be monitored should a task considered for patience be needed.
And next Colonel Rybok looked at Dakota, occasionally known as "Man-eater" This strange thing was early adolescence, approximately 12. and considered very dangerous. Though The Colonel had to wonder why on earth the colonial command would even have considered her for a mission. But then she wasn’t a normal 12 year old. The Colonel looked away the red light changed to green. He exhaled more smoke from his lungs.
“Two minutes to drop time” Came the Pilots voice, Lieutenant Rupert.
The Colonel was the first to un-strap from his restraints and stagger across battling each step from the vibrating shuttle towards the hatch. Behind him stood Jared.
“One Minute” Rupert called through again.
The Hatch opened itself. The Unit took hold of the side railing as the wind forced its way into the compartment with force.
“OK Drop.” Lieutenant Rupert called through.
“Goggles on team.”
The Colonel was the first to look out into the windy sky placing his blue tinted goggles over his eyes. Below was nothing but the blue ocean. Rybok Jumped.
Behind him stood Jared placing his drop goggles on. “This chute had better open.” He mumbled. Then dropped.
Dakota was next, she said nothing and just dropped from the hatch.
Behind her fixing her goggles in place was Shadow. She took a moment to breath then jumped from the shuttle.
Arroak followed.
And Finally Rion (Talanea) looked down. “Oh crap.” She moaned to herself. “I hate water I really do.” She stepped out from the shuttle.
A few seconds later and all of them were parachuting down to the sea below.
Rupert entered the compartment and hauled three dingy’s out the hatch and watched as each one filled with air before hitting the water below. He returned to the cockpit.
“This is Lieutenant Rupert O Connell; here I have dispatched the package, over.”
The comm crackled for a moment.
“Did all go well Lieutenant.” Came the reply.
“Yes General all went as planned.”
“Then you have permission to return to base lieutenant.”
“Understood.” Rupert replied, pulling up on the flight stick.
Night Haunter 08-27-2007, 11:20 AM Your Posts should start as you drop into the ocean and get to your dingy's and head towards the coast. The rest is your mission. I will create situations as the game progresses for you. I will write those posts in red.
Cogito 08-27-2007, 01:25 PM Jared watched the three packages fall past and inflate as they hit the water below. Pulling the steering shrouds, he corrected to land next to the nearest dinghy. As his feet hit the water, he grasped the release buckles and pulled them free as soon as the released tension of the shrouds permitted. He swam the two meter distance to the dinghy and hauled himself over the gunwales, and checked that the waterproof equipment pouches had not breached.
While he waited for the next Rat to reach the boat, he prepared the landing motor. He heard someone splashing toward him in the darkness, and cursed under his breath. Noisy beggar!
Charisma 08-27-2007, 01:42 PM The water felt full of suppleness and dilution. She swam back up, feeling water breaking through her age-old uniform. How I hate it when that happens.
Rising to the surface, Arroak looked briefly at everyone. There was the Colonel, quite well-armed in her opinion. Then there were a bunch of lunatics and diehards, with an exception of the funny-looking man with scars and the pixie-like girl. They both reminded her of her brother, and her best friend Juvana. It's not like Arroak doesn't have a personal life. She just doesn't have the time for it.
She hadn't expected to end up being late in getting hold of a dingy. But hey, she was. And how lucky - the scarred one had got the dingy she had been swimming around for no good reason. She curved a cynic smile and said briefly:
"Can I sit?"
Now I bet I was being too kind. Arroak then took off her smile. Everyone is a psychopath here. Why should you even be nice?
SeaBreeze 09-14-2007, 07:41 AM The water felt like concrete as she hit it hard, spearing through the dark waves like and arrow. Minutes before impact, Killara had detached her parachute to avoid being blinded when she rose to the survace.
For a moment, she sat in the dark water, her black eyes piercing the below zero darkness surrounding her. Then with a powerful kick, She broke through the surface with a small gasp.
The wind was making the waves choppy, only small white crests showed promise of a storm coming.
She glanced around her. The boats had already opened and she swam to the closest one being manned by Jared. She didn't care who manned it. She just wanted out of the water altogether. There was someone already in the boat, who Jared was glaring at.
Killara gripped the side of the boat and pulled herself up with little fuss or noise. She had been trained well. And although he didn't show it, Jared jumped as she settled in and began checking her weapons.
Brushing a strand of her dark blue hair out of her eyes, Killara cracked her neck and settled in to wait.
Raven 09-17-2007, 04:40 AM Rybok felt his feet penetrate the water below his cute began sagging inwards then laying on the water’s surface as he descended slightly before returning to the top. He exhaled on his ascension upwards. Water falling from his cap like a fountain. He looked on at the three dingy’s. Jared was already in one.
Rybok swan to the next empty dingy and pulled himself up. The climbed in. From his pouch he took a large fat cigar and lit it with his zippo lighter. The carved image on the side was that of the head of a Hawk. He took a drag from his cigar and watched the others fall from the sky above. Each dropping into the water. He looked over at Jared. Jared stared back at him.
“C’mon move it. We’ve got to be at the shore by day break.” Rybok bellowed as the others descended into the water.
The sky above was clear and filled with stars. Rybok admired the three moons above shinning brightly, it was a sight he found most beautiful.
Cogito 09-17-2007, 06:57 AM Jared listened as the next Rat began swimming toward the raft, clearly trying to be silent.
His thoughts drifted back to his childhood, playing hide-and-seek in the woods near his father's home. His sister was swimming quietly across the forest pond, from one half-submerged tree trunk to another, trying to sneak up on where she believed he was hiding.
The boat shifted as Killara pulled herself over the gunwales, and Jared cursed himself for losing focus. Now he could hear Rybok's loud breathing as he splashed toward the dinghy. The man was a competent killer, but damn he was loud!
As Rybok hauled his bulk into the boat, Jared started the silent engine and headed toward the dark shore. He pushed away the thoughts from his childhood, and focused on the task ahead.
But with Killara sitting across from him, the thoughts were never far below the surface. He wanted her gone; he didn't need the distraction. But you never forget your first kill.
SeaBreeze 09-17-2007, 07:32 AM She remembered the training. Remembered the cold, wet nights that froze her to the bone as they went through the exercise again and again. She remembered the others failing one by one until it was just her and Ghost.
Killara turned her gaze to Rybok. Bastard. The other one, Jared. She didn't know what to make of him. Something flashed across his face as he caught her staring at her. It was gone as sudden as it came.
She knew without a doubt that she would have to watch him. Feeling the engine of the dinghy start, Killara turned her gaze back to shore. The waves were smashing into the black sand, pounding it into submission as if the water was seeking revenge for an untold wrong.
They would have to be careful in landing. A wrong move could see them all crash. And they did not have time for injuries if they were to complete their mission in time.
Making sure her rifle was loaded and ready, she shifted the strap and held it close to her as the boat launched itself over waves, slamming into the ocean, sending dark arcs of water across their faces.
Licking the salt from her full bottem lip, Killara shook her head. She couldn't wait to start killing something.
Cogito 09-17-2007, 08:00 AM Jared motored silently toward the dark shore. He peered ahead, and aimed toward a dark stretch where the waves seemed to die quietly instead of explode against jutting obstacles.
Jenine had been an enfant terrible her entire life. She had made life difficult for Jared's father, and some thought his mother suicide was partially driven by his older sister's cruelties. Jared was the good son, quiet and solitary, while his sister tried everyone's patience and sanity. She ran away on three occasions, and the third time was found over two months later trying to cross the border at night. So when she disappeared a fourth time, no one doubted she had finally run away for good. To this day, no one knew or even suspected otherwise.
Jared cut the motor as the boat neared the dark beach, and leapt into the shallows a moment before the sand rasped under the bow. He hauled the mooring rope to pull the boat up onto the dark shingle glittering under the faint starglow.
Charisma 09-17-2007, 08:35 AM Arroak didn't bother as the man turned on the motor. In fact, she just kept thinking about her brother, the flaring memories, like a teardrop on her cheek, like a crystal in a cave. Entrancing.
******
"Arroak! Arroak! Where are you?"
"Right behind you, fool!"
Arroak jumped at Reprus, grabbed his collar as if he were her pet dog.
"Hey, let go...I was just confirming if you were even making an effort to hide."
"Course I was!"
"You sometimes just ditch me and go start playign with Juvana."
"I do not!"
"You do. Now stop arguing and count till ten. I'll hide now!"
"Whatever."
Arroak let go of Reprus, and he headed towards the orchards, giggling his way in. Arroak screamed out the numbers loud, smiling and giggling in between. They were having so much fun.
Gradually Arroak took heavy steps to the windmill, where the best places for hiding lay. She whispered out her brother's name, poking through branches and straw walls to see if he were playing with her five senses. As she drifted away from the farmhouse, she started to finally get on track into the orchards.
The heavily dark night now crafted chattering monkeys and howling owls. She finally gave up when it was near dinnertime and after two surrender shouts, Reprus had not replied. She started towards the farmhouse again, when she heard a woman's scream. It was her mother.
Panting, puffing and crying, she reached the doorstep of her house. Enveloped in pain and blood, were frantically dead eyes of her brother. His smile was nonexistent and his supple skin now hardened like clay. Arroak never took her eyes off him.
******
The dingy had a jerk as the man stopped it. Arroak took a long jump out, rubbing her shoulders. Now to realize what their names were. Bah, she wasn't paying attention when they were been called out. Ack, she didn't need to know. They all looked too different to be confused with.
Raven 09-17-2007, 08:38 AM Rybok watched as Jared and Killara moved away from the group in their dingy. He had a certain amount of respect for Jared though he wanted to see the bastard dead. He couldn’t help but respect the killer in the man. As for Killara he thought nothing for. He remembered her sister damned fool deserved her fate. But then they were all scum and all of the deserved death. He used the motor on the dingy and sped across after Jared and Killara. The others can share the last dingy for themselves.
The water splashed onto the sides as he moved swiftly through the water under the cover of night.
He reached the shore, and took another puff on his cigar. He stepped out from the dingy looking at the field ahead.
“Jared take point. Killera cover him. Cross the field and position yourselfs by the west side of the compound. Only engage if your spotted. Other wise use your stealth skills and take any watchers out. Remember this vermin is worse then you. If they capture you. Your dead.” Rybok explained puffing on his cigar.
Charisma 09-17-2007, 09:03 AM Arroak stared at the Colonel rudely as he gave orders to the two older rat pack members (whose names she was still confused about). She clicked her fingers lightly and then turnedaway, trying to make a point that she was being missed out on. He was just testing her patience by doing this, she knew. Nevertheless, she kciked the dingy lightly, to see whther it was of good material. Well, it was.
Banzai 09-18-2007, 03:07 AM Julius hit the water hard; harder than he'd intended. For a few moments he floundered beneath the surface in his confusion, before he managed to force his head above the water, and suck air into his lungs. Looking around as he treaded water, he saw in the distance a few lights moving around on the shore.
That goddamned Colonel and his crew of idiot miscreants, he thought disdainfully. If he thinks I'm going to stick around here and die with them, he doesn't deserve his rank.
Looking away from the shore, out to sea, Julius saw something that seemed to dance on the water, a ghostly evanescent light. A smile on his lips hidden by the darkness, he turned away from the shore, and began to swim slowly and quietly towards the light he had seen.
Perhaps our paths will cross again someday, Rybok, he thought. And perhaps I'll yet have your head on a plate, you disgusting traitor!
None of the ratpack noticed the small sled which silently rose up through the atmosphere, and by the time they noticed Julius' absence, it would have been far too late to stop him, had they ever even assumed him anything but dead...
Domoviye 09-18-2007, 03:36 AM The small sled rose into the sky, getting further and further away from the Colonel, and the Ratpack. Julius smiled as he saw freedom ahead of him.
The nanites in his body, detected the signals from the other nanites getting further and further away.
The sled continued upwards reaching the upper atmosphere. Julius started laughing at his cleverness.
A new star shone briefly in the sky, and faint thunder could be heard. Some people on the ground looked up at the light.
As the fire faded they wondered what had caused it. Most put it out of their mind. Some began looking.
Raven 09-18-2007, 08:17 AM “Some of ‘em think they can make it.” Rybok chuckled to himself.
He crept across the field watching Jared and killeria move off as ordered. Behind him stood Arroak.
“Follow me.” He said with a grunt as he puffed on his half smoked fat cigar.
Cogito 09-18-2007, 09:23 AM Jared heard the distant blast and saw his shadow momentarily, outlined in a ruddy glare. At least whatever idiot pulled that stunt wouldn't be getting them killed here on the ground. Still, it had possibly drawn attention to them.
He melted quietly from one shadow to the next as he crossed the field. Behind him, he heard Killara doing the same. She wasn't following his path in every detail, but was choosing some of the concealing hollows he had considered but not chosen.
For now, she might still be useful enough to let live, he thought somewhat regretfully.
SeaBreeze 09-18-2007, 10:15 AM (gee, thanks. :p)
Killara followed Jared, ignoring the explosion. She was in enemy territory and couldn't afford to lose concentration. Besides, Jared barely even reacted.
She sighed heavily. It was going to be a long night.
----
(erk, bedtime.... :D)
Charisma 09-18-2007, 10:55 AM Arroak stood straight, following where ever the Colonel was heading to. A stream of cigar smoke touched the roots of her nose. She coughed lightly, rolling her eyes at the same time. She was getting bored already. The only fun thing that had happened uptil now was that weird little explosion. Someone had a funny way of exercising.
adamant 09-18-2007, 11:22 AM Dakota gently fell through the sky, she kept her hands at her knees to prevent her tartan skirt blowing in the wind - reminiscent of the Marylin Monroe photographs. Her Mary Janes hit the water, skipping across it like she was running on the surface. It could not hold her weight as she released the parachute's straps, and she was immersed in the cool liquid. Underneath, she focused on the remaining boat and swam toward it, grabbing its side as she approached it.
Once she climbed over the side, she tried to see where everyone else had gone. A couple unoccupied dinghies like hers appeared on a island, and she pursued them. Having just come out of the water, the breeze was a bit uncomfortable. She huddled up in the corner of the small boat as it skimmed the aqueous crests, coming ever closer to the island.
An explosion rang overhead, catching her off-guard. For a moment, it took her mind off of the winds, and she noticed how close she was to reaching land. She stopped the boat and let it glide onto the sand. With a few muddy steps, she stood before a fork in her path - two sets of footprints. "I'm lost already?"
Torana 09-18-2007, 08:59 PM Talanea hit the water, her body instantly froze and she began wondering what she had gotten herself into. She knew she had done nothing to get here, but as far as they knew she had.
Her whole body went under the surface, she worried a little. She wasn't sure if this Rybok character had planned for her to make it much further than the water. She couldn't swim well and they all knew it.
She looked about for a life raft and there were none near by. "Damn you bastards" she bellowed out. She knew outright she was never going to make it out of here alive. She drew what strength she had and fought to get to the shore. Her whole body ached and fear spread through her mind. "I will slice through your throat Rybok given the chance." she said softly as she struggled to the shore.
Finally reaching land she fell to the sand below and caught her breath and began to study the area. She looked in the direction that she saw the others head in.
I am just so glad that Rion never made it here. My only hope is that he is now safely out of harms way. Please be safe Rion and take good care of my little Tayoa.....
A single tear rolled down her cheek and she rose to her feet and headed in the direction of the others. She knew she'd not make it out of here alive, Rybok had made his decision of who would stay and who would go. She knew due to her brothers crimes...she would never see her little girl again.
Her mind wondered back to her last moments with her daughter. Holding her in her arms and singing to her. The innocent smile that laid peacefully and gracefully upon her dainty pale face. The love in her eyes and the smell of her skin. Her last words. Princess mommy is going now. You will remember a love so profound and warm like the rays of the summers sun and wonder who that love is from. Just know that it is from someone that loved you more than the earth needs the sun, wind and rain. Forget me now my darling daughter. Mommy has to go now. Don't cry for when you cry the sun will fade and the flowers wilt and the world with be consumed within darkness....
Talanea let the thought go and concentrated on her task at hand. She saw the others up ahead and figured that was the only direction that her heart must know...
Raven 09-19-2007, 04:25 AM Rybok crept up to the trees behind the gate. He peered through the mesh and watched the Reavers as they ripped a dead horse to shreds with their bare hands.
Animals. He thought to himself.
He watched them move up and down. All of them had something on from a corpse. Whether it be the entire skin of a dead to just the flesh of a face hung from a shoulder.
Killing these warpspit bastards would be a pleasure.
Arroak followed Rybok from the trees as he knelt by the mesh of the compound fence and let his claws emerge from his bionic hand. He slowly cut through the mesh.
Once a hole was made he slide through using the cover of darkness to hide himself. He darted towards the first building. The building was his intended target. He drew both pistols and put his silencers on.
Slowly he made his way keeping his back arched against the buildings wall as he side stepped to the corner.
Rybok peered his head around the corner. He spotted three guards. One in furs and the other two women attired in what smelt disgusting but dead human flesh.
He took aim with both pistols and fired. The silencer kept the shots silenced as the three Reavers dropped to their deaths from head shots
Charisma 09-19-2007, 04:38 AM Arroak kept her steps light and silent as the Colonel snuck up on the Reavers. She watched as he got rid of three of the monsters, quick sleekly. Well, no mental torture. This was boring.
Arroak then eyed the monsters closely as Colonel lowered his pistol. It seemed for a split second that someone else was nearby. Arroak swiftly crawled her fingers over the wall, sniffing like a rabbit. Someone was there,a nd the nose didn't tell that. The hair did.
Arroak quickly spun around and tore through the face of a Reaver. The attack wasn't effiicient, thus Arroak gave a heavy cackle of joy until she dug out the Reaver's stomach from her body.
Raven 09-19-2007, 04:53 AM Rybok gave Arroak a slight smile.
Then moved on around the corner, keeping his pistols trained for another target. Ducking down as he passed by an opened window he carefully stepped past the glass keeping himself from stepping on it.
Then slowly edged his foot to the doors bottom. Slowly he let it open. He entered keeping both pistols held forwards. Two Reavers turned to face him. Both armed with crude weapons. One was armed with a crossbow covered in rotten flesh. The other was armed with a small machine gun.
Saul Rybok new he had to be quick. The shot the first holding the machine gun and darted over the broken tables to punch the other in the jaw with is Bionic hand clenched into a fist. The Reaver dropped to the floor dead. A second later anther entered. Rybok fired twice wounding the creature. It jumped and attacked him grabbing at his face digging its nails into his cheeks.
Rybok stumbled backwards with this animal pummelling into his face.
Both men rolled onto the floor knocking tables and chairs over. As Rybok managed to roll on top he put his pistol into the Reavers face.
“Fragg this warpspit.” He said spitting his Cigar butt into the animals face. It hissed at him.
Rybok pulled the trigger letting a mass of blood and brains combust across the floor.
Charisma 09-19-2007, 12:41 PM Arroak smiled as the Colonel took out more reavers. She wanted to have a movie camera this time, but she didn't have a chance to pack it up. Juvana loved it when she saw anything of Arroak's pursuits. Whenever Arroak would go on a requested murder attempt, she'd tag along a camera if she could. Then again...she might not return from this. Man, she had promised Juvana a dinner for losing the bet about George Bush losing the elections. They were still holding the bet on hold until Arroak's 19th birthday (19 being her favourite number), which was tomorrow. She had been saving money painfully since then.
Arroak snapped back to the present and threw a stunned glance at the staircase. Reavers were piling downstairs - at least six. They seemed well-armed, but Arroak didn't pay attention to the armor. Arroak quickly jumped over the Colonel and speedily crunched the throat of a reaver with her claw. The remaining reavers came for her but by then she had jumped to the railing from where she kicked into a reaver with a machine gun and then she ducked their first attacks from a pistol. With that she landed on a reaver, tearing his back completely and then cutting into her spinal cord. She slid under him and tore open the left leg of a female reaver. But by now a reaver jumped on Arroak. Arroak tried to shove her off but she kept herself intact. She was going to bite Arroak's ear, when she threw a dynamite into her mouth. Arroak threw her towards another reaver, both of them becoming victims of an explosion. The last reaver grabbed her neck at which she kicked into the air, feelign apprehended. When he attempted to tear off her facial skin she bit his hand, and freed her trapped arms, digging her tiger claw deep into his skull.
And then trying to take it out.
Domoviye 09-19-2007, 08:39 PM A small bag bounced down the stairs. It clanged and banged like it had a handful of metal balls inside it. As it hit the floor the bag opened up. A grenade rolled out.
SeaBreeze 09-20-2007, 08:04 AM Killara moved quickly and as quietly as she could throught he field, her clothes brushing against the sharp spinafex grass. Up ahead there was a watcher, holding some type of gun and dressed in skins and was decorated with various teeth and there was even ears adourning his chest.
She looked at Jared, nodding her head in the watchers direction. He nodded. She was to take the watcher out.
Here goes Killara thought as she crouched in the grass, made sure everything was strapped tight to her body to avoid sound and crept through the grass so that she was behind the watcher. She could smell him now. Like rotten meat.
Taking a small breath to calm herself and to gather her strength, Killara burst from the grass, wrapped her hands around the head of the watcher before he could shout for help, and with a savage twist, snapped his neck. She lowered the corpse to the ground and then covered him with the spinafex grass and reeds.
Wiping her mouth with the back of her fist, Killara double checked the watcher was dead before joining Jared once more.
Cogito 09-20-2007, 11:24 AM Jared eased up next to the west wall of the compound and crouched low to the ground. Fixing his gaze above the horizon, he waited until his peripheral vision caught a movement along side a jutting stump 30 meters away. He sighted through the laser's scope until he saw what was clearly the head of the Watcher. One squeeze of the trigger, and a splash of green light pierced the lump atop the Watcher's shoulders. Jared watched as the Watcher toppled to the ground and lay still. Killara rustled close behind him.
"I don't need a shadow," he said quietly. "Follow the wall north, and take any Watchers you find, as quietly as possible. And don't make so much noise."
He heard a sharp intake of breath and smiled grimly to himself. She wasn't all that loud, but he hoped her injured pride would make her even more careful. Besides, her pride needed to be taken down a notch.
He crept south along the wall, stopping every few meters to scan for Watchers. He dropped two more before he reached the corner.
SeaBreeze 09-21-2007, 05:10 AM It would of been easier to just blow his arrogant head off right then and there. Killara moved away from Jarod and began following the wall north. Which was better anyways, Jarrods body odor was something to be desired. She was surprised that the smell hadn't brought any of the watchers or reaver's onto them. Killara shook her head, steadying her hand against the gritty stone wall. She was being mean.
Fine. Killara searched the darkness. A watcher was up ahead, his back to her. Her sword slid out of it's scabbard, and her hand gripped it tightly. It was similar to her sisters. She checked that there was no more watchers close by before taking two running steps. She jumped, twisted in mid-air and brought the blade of her sword down as she landed. The watcher stared at her for a moment then gurgled something incoherently before blood burst from his mouth. Killara yanked her sword out of his skull and watched as half of his head broke away, dropping to the grass underfoot like an unwanted half of a cantelope.
She checked for any radios and found none, only a horn fashioned from some sort of bone. See an intruder, sound the horn. She quickly wiped the blood and bits of meat from her sword before resheathing it.
Turning on her heel, Killara used the cover of the wall to move along, taking out three mor watchers before reaching the end.
Cogito 09-21-2007, 12:42 PM Jarod turned the body of the last Watcher over with his toe. The smell of cooked flesh, but with hints of sulfur and ammonia from the alien influences, assaulted his nostrils. The laser had drilled a 2 cm hole under the Watcher's left eye, and a somewhat larger exit hole where its right ear had been. Jared methodically searched the body, but found nothing valuable except a small transceiver.
That was interesting. It implied organized thinking, and teamwork. He stuffed the transceiver in an outside pocket, turned on at low volume. Maybe he'd be lucky and intercept a communication that would give him an edge, either against the enemy or against the other Rats.
He returned silently to the wall and crouched low to peer around the corner at ground level.
Raven 09-21-2007, 05:28 PM Rybok watched the grenade bounce across the floor and past Arroak. He kicked it out the door.
Both Rybok and Arroak looked into each others eyes. And then came the explosion.
“Fragg.” Rybok bellowed as both he and Arroak were thrown through to the next room. Both landed heavily across the floor.
Rybok rose up swiftly and kicked the next door in with his boots and fired both pistols as he entered the room. Two Reavers dropped behind fallen tables and fired crossbows at him. He returned fire again killing one.
One pistol jammed. “Mother Fragger.” He bellowed spitting across the floor. He fired the second pistol killing the Reaver. He rushed through again to anther room.
This room was the monitoring room. He looked across at the consoles of computers and wondered why they hadn’t been smashed.
“Hmmmm Something strange about that.” He said allowed to himself.
He took out a disk and inserted it into on computer and began download the compound files.
Five minutes passed and he was done. He then heard more gun shots.
Choosing a different direction to vacate the building he dived threw the window shattering the glass on his way out. Quickly he drew both Pistols and fired as he ran across the compound.
“Jared set you’re goddamn explosives. You warpspit scum.” He bellowed into his ear piece.
Moments before dropping to both knees behind a set of barrels for cover. He then watched the Reavers storm the building he’d just left.
“I wonder if Arroak got out alive.” He pondered allowed.
Domoviye 09-21-2007, 08:22 PM The explosion was heard throughout the compound. As the dust settled, screams, shouts, and gunfire could be heard heard in the distance. As the Ratpack went about their work, the screamers were getting closer.
Charisma 09-22-2007, 12:48 AM Arroak grunted a little as she pushed into another old room. She rubbed her back which seemed to have broken a bone but she allowed herself to stand up. No injuries. Good. The Colonel was out of sight but what she could see were Commando Reapers. Perfect. Just perfect.
Arroak sharpened her tiger claw against a metal cupboard (or whatever it was) and lit three dynamites. Jumping as a loop, she fired them at the Reapers. She missed out on two of them, out of the five reapers. One of the Reaper grabbed her and like an ambushed young girl, he tightly strapped her hands and abdomen together, probably like they did to their victim of...death...or whatever. She hadn't heard the Colonel on that one either.
Arroak bit her authoritative's neck and with all force flung him to the other one. She quickly pulled off her right boot, allowing her feet to pick up an unlit dynamite. Scratching it with the flammable wall rock (studying the room while she rubbed her back had been a help), she threw it at the couple. The blast was a bit near and she was thrown into the room where Satan had created Reapers.
Bah, it was a casual lounge for the Reapers. They looked at her like they were least interested. Arroak wanted to go on and ask:
"Dude, do you know there are explosions going on around here?"
A handful of Reapers got up from the tables and aimed their guns at her. Arroak had an idea.
"Kill me, and wait. I've been strapped by your compunds, and accidentally injected a hydrogen-1 bomb. I've run away from the injection board, who're lying dead. See for yourself if you don't believe me. Let alone this island, you're going to blow up the Solar System if you shoot me."
The young reapers, probably the families of the army force were bewildered. Some of them started to scream like a siren and ran out of the room. Some of the loving family men let go of Arroak and ran for their lives, but the smart ones remained on guard. They mumbled something to her and then shot.
Arroak ducked successfully and as the bullets kept coming, she realized she couldn't keep ducking behind the refrigerator. But then, it wasn't a refrigerator. Arroak eyed it's working. It was...a transport capsule. How dumb of the men and women to have NOT used this! Or maybe it only holds one person. Duh.
Arroak took a chance and came forward. Having been shot twice in her back, she still managed to sneak into the capsule. She read through the sectors. No wonder the Reapers could find them. The sectors with human presence were glowing wildly. She quickly chose the nearest one, where she presumed the Colonel would be. The Reapers had almost broken through the capsule when she pressed launch with her nose.
Arroak was swung to a excruciating situation - right where an army of Reavers was passing. She made use of her small body figure and closed herself between two palm trunks. Luckily, despite their human detection signals they probably didn't notice. Arroak then sighed, looking at the belt she had been strapped with. Somehow, she had to get it off. It was probably a trackign device, and if not, due to the popular belief then it was a bomb.
Or a mutation device. Arroak felt her blood gushing into the belt and then coming out of it. She bit her lower lip in pain as she felt her feet change. She had to do something. Quickly. If only someone would cut open her belt! But they won't. They'll probably say something like 'cursed woman' and leave her to die. How she hated those words.
Cogito 09-23-2007, 04:43 PM A white flash cast harsh shadows along the north wall, followed an instant later by an echoing report. A moment later Rybok's voice crackled in his earpiece. “Jared, set you’re goddamn explosives, you warpspit scum.”
That figures, Jared thought, the turd-chomping mech-hand hadn't said a damned thing about entering or blasting through the west wall, just to eliminate Watchers. Clearly he planned to exit the compound on this side.
Jare briefly considered leaving this side sealed, but he still needed Rybok. The only way off this slimy rock was with Rybok's cooperation.
He headed south along the wall. There had been a metal door about a third of the way back from the corner. He hadn't seen a better place to force an entry, if he had actually wanted to enter.
At the rusty door, he placed two grenade mines on the hinges, and layered quick set steelgel over them. He waited three minutes for the gel to set as he found cover behind a cracked boulder jutting up from the stony ground.
He sent the detonate code, and the mines exploded together. The door stayed in place for a moment then slowly tipped outward and clattered to the ground.
Jared pulled a third grenade mine, armed it, and flung it toward the opening. It saiiled through, and Jared heard it bounce and roll of the hard floor beyond. Then there was another explosion and two twisted, smoking bodies tumbled out through the opening, and twitched on the ground before becoming still.
Jared stayed put and watched for more Screamers to rush to the site of the blast, his laser ready to take them out.
Raven 10-01-2007, 05:46 AM Rybok's Pondering came to an end once he saw Arroak leave the building alive.
He then turned his attention to the Armoury bunker. And a smile graced his face as he took another drag on his Cigar.
Raven 10-01-2007, 08:53 AM Rybok took his communicator out and called in for an air strike. After a firefight across the compound Rybok managed to get back to the shore and the air strike obliterated the compound and discovered the second compound of cultists killing them.
Jared followed Rybok intow with Rion (Talanea) both badly wounded. The other Rat packs never maid it out alive after been slayed in battle. The drop ship picked up the three survivors.
Both Jared and Rion (Talanea) we're returned to the Penal prision and died on a later Mission with Rybok.
As requested a third game will start. So we can start from scratch once again.
