I got the most awesome reply from on agent on my query today. I want you all to read it and share in my excitement. Im sure as you all know, just because an agent wants to see your work, doesnt guarantee that you have procured them BUT WOW..this was just an awesome letter and Im totally hyped at the possibilities..I am sending off the stuff per her request today. WOOOOTT!!!!!!
HERE IT IS:

Dear Jackie Wilson,
"Panama Rain" sounds like a brilliant woman's fiction novel. You have done a commendable job of depicting Emily as a memorable and sympathetic heroine. Emily sounds like a woman readers will easily be able to relate to and will want to cheer along.
I would be delighted to read a hard (paper) copy of the book synopsis and sample chapters for "Panama Rain." This sounds like a book project I would be avidly interested in representing.
Please send me a book summary and sample chapters. I would also love to read a writer's bio and learn a bit more about you as a writer and as a person.
Please send "Panama Rain" to:

Michele Glance Rooney, Agency Director
Simply Nonfiction Literary Agency
32667 Haverford Road
Franklin, Michigan 48025

Please mark your manuscript package "Requested by Rooney." I promise to give your work my prompt, professional attention.
I am looking forward to reading "Panama Rain." I hope this marks the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial working relationship.

Warm regards,

Michele Glance Rooney, Agency Director
Simply Nonfiction Literary Agency

Thanks Chase! Now If I can just get a "YES" id love to represent you heh. I am submitting the requested items tomorrow by snail mail and will wait with baited breath for that letter to come that says "GIMME THE REST" heh (I am no stranger to rejection..so I will expect that, but at the same time hope for the best!)

Thanks again :)

I have to tell you, I have been so nervous about submitting this stuff, but I finally got it all ready to go. Now just to wait *sigh*

The thing that really kicked my butt was writing the summary.

In a summary, the agents want to see basically the entire novel from beginning to end devoid of details. This is harder than you would think! (And I dread doing it. But, its done and sent off. And of course, I will keep u posted

Ok and the balloon deflates. I did some more research...I think this lady is a fee charging crook..but I will withhold judgement until I see what she has to say.

I am damn tired of this happening. Just as a warning to all you new writers out there who havent submitted anything yet, research thoroughly before you submit. I got this woman's name from a reputable writers website and ASSUMED she was legit..but due to some new research on my part it appears she is nothing more than a crook. *sigh*

Spider..I think it would be nice to have a section somewhere here to list agents and agencies that people could refer to if they want info on someone.
