my screenplay, 'sons of adam' made it to the quarterfinals in the 2007 'women in film' comp held by 'more'... not worth a champagne toast, but nothing to sneeze at, i guess, since it's a fairly major contest... :)
did anybody else here enter?... congrats to the winners!

Congrts Maia, it was good to make it into the quater finals at least, I am sure many people tried and failed at that. Good luck for the next time if you decide to enter. :)

thanks, all!
pg... here's the pitch:
Sons of Adam
Logline:
High-jacked spaceshuttle’s captain must save what’s left of her passengers and crew, while owned by a male slave in a society using women only for breeding.
Protagonists:
Strong, independent leader unfamiliar with gender bias;
her “master”— privileged, but enslaved. A double twist on sex/power role reversal.
Cast of characters:
Indigenous “normals” (male slave-technicians); disposable females; sterile mutant male guards; semi-mutant male rulers; several still-alive crew members hiding in still-launchable ship; despotic ruler’s mutant, not-all-bad heir.
. . stir it up with “Julius Caesar” style conspirators and an “Et tu, Brute?” ending. . . and love conquers all.
...obviously written in my 'old life' before i took an oath to never again use violence to entertain...:redface:

thanks, t!... fyi, 'wonderful' would be getting an option or sale offer... but i'm not greedy, so placing at all was nice enough... especially as it was the first screenplay i ever wrote and before i did, had never even seen or read one...
