If so, what and for how long have you been playing?

If not, what would you like to learn to play and how come you haven't already?

I play the guitar and attempt to play the didgeridoo from time to time

I've always wanted to play the violin, but I'm too lazy to stop by a music store.

I have played tenor saxophone, but I am way out of practice. Not that I was ever performance quality.

I don't like when people ask "Do you play a musical instrument?", because, after listing them all out, I might sound like I have an ego. I don't have an ego, it's just the size of the list. And it's not really a big deal. When you learn guitar, you've learned pretty much every other stringed instrument, too. And it goes like that with most instruments.

That being said, I play guitar, piano, trumpet, harmonica, mandolin, bass, flute, drums, and sing, about 3 hours each day. And I compose about 2 hours a day.

I play the flute.... well, PLAYED the flute. I'm a little out of practice, though I can still get out the basic scales and play simple pieces... ;)

I used to be able to play the Titantic theme song on the flute and the recorder.

I play the piano and used to play the trombone :) Played the sax and drums at one stage, but totally forgotten how to now.

I started playing the piano when I was 7, so been playing for 9 years, but don't get to practice much anymore. I'm also doing guitar now, hoping to get quite good.

Percussion.

Drums, conga's, bongo's, xylophone, what ever. That's about it though. I can strum a few chords on guitar and play a few on piano, but that's about it. And harmonica, i was once quite good at harmonica.

I'd be interested to hear your music.

I have a music project on the 'net, but I don't have any songs up yet. Just a really short sample I was testing stuff with. By January, though, I will have complete songs up. Here's the link.

I have a few on my list as well, but I had siblings who taught me basics of a lot of instruments.

Clarinet, Alto Sax, and Piano are my mains - but I can play oboe, flute, trumpet, a little violin and guitar as well.

That's pretty good stuff man, I look forward to hearing more. I suppose you played all the instruments etc? Or are they synthesised? I cant quite tell...

Been playing electric guitar for nearly 4 years.. It is, accompanied by my love of songwriting, my passion.
It got me into loving metal, and i origionally wrote and played grunge, so those two genre's kinda OWN!!!!

I play the piano. I'm not the best at it, but I can play songs that would be usually above my level. I've been learning on and off (currently off), though I am doing music in school, which has helped to keep me playing the piano.

lol Cogito! :p

I have played the Harp before.
Was fun too.
Other wise the Organ and Piano. I don't like wind instruments so I never bothered with them at all.

I've always wanted to play the violin and the sax. Not sure why, just want to. But I am too nice to the rest of the living world to actually attempt at playing either instrument!

Yes. The world suffers enough from sax and violins.

I play piano semi professionally (as professionally as I possibly can, at least), and clarinet once in awhile.
The piano will always be my favorite instrument, regardless of my frustrations. : )

I've always wanted to learn the violin.

I started playing guitar 4 years ago BECAUSE of Kurt Cobain, and so did my brother. :)

I tried to learn to play the violin...it hurt my ears I was that bad so I gave up and went and learnt the harp. I played that for a few months and gave up for certain reasons I won't go into. But it is a lot of fun playing the harp and not that many people do.

I've played drums (kit mainly) for 12 years now. I took lessons for most of that time and only got passionate about it at all in the middle of high school. I can play almost anything you throw at me (aside from some intense jazz, latin, thrash).

I play the Irish tin whistle, or pennywhistle, as it's sometimes called. You might have heard it in Celtic music, without knowing what it was called. Or maybe you know. Maybe it's one of those things everyone knows. I don't know.

I also play the piano, but I play that by note, while I play the pennywhistle by ear. I've been trying for years to learn the acoustic guitar, but can't discipline myself to practice enough to make any progress.

evizaer, I wish I played the drums. I have no rhythm, and I'm too old to start, but I've always had this secret fantasy of myself as this incredible drummer. Don't laugh!

Never too old to start drums mate. All it takes is alot of practice.

...and a drum set! Maybe that's what I'm too old for. **sigh**

Do you mind a lot of noise and do you have a lot of money to spend?

No to both questions. Maybe I could buy a pair of drumsticks, and play on old trash can lids, glass bottles and detergent jugs, like they do in "Stomp." There's a guy who does this on the street, in Seattle, every day. I could watch him for hours. (Except that he lives across the world....)

I would totally need lessons though. A few, at least, to get me started.

How did I miss this thread?

I've been playing guitar for the last seven/eight years, and have been playing drums for the last 10 months as well. Not at the same time, though I have done that before :p
