IndianaJoan 11-01-2006, 09:12 PM I am totally an idiot when it comes to poetry. As I have said many times before I LOVE to read it, but sometimes it just goes straight over my head and im left wondering "wtf" it meant LOL It would be nice to see someone more schooled in poetry to help all of you out a bit since there seems to be a large population of poets here. Im sorry I cant help more! I wish I could. Spherical Time 11-01-2006, 09:25 PM Unrhyming poetry isn't that hard to create. Basically, you just try to create images and feelings without having to rhyme at the end of lines. It's a little bit more unstructured, but just put the effort into it. The Freshmaker 11-01-2006, 09:30 PM You could start with a blank verse. Each line has ten syllables. I wrote some really good blank verse poems when I was younger. I don't really do poetry anymore. Felony 11-02-2006, 11:51 AM OK thank you very much. I'll try and post one soon!! |
