happy house-warming!... i've been to vancouver island and it's one of the prettiest places on the planet... can't have been cheap to get a sizable house and that much land, though... i've remodeled 7 homes of my own, so know you've a tough but very satisfying road ahead... post a picture of your new digs, willya, so we can see the before, before you get going on the 'after'?...

love and hugs, maia

Oh wow! Congratulations! The inside looks amazing! Especially the bathroom! Is that a big shower?! Wow. Then got to the outside of the house and it's like; naaaah that's not hte outside?! But hey, it looks great! And lots of space! To build a pool, a grannyflat for all your mates at WF to come and crash for the night.... a great BBQ entertaining area... Oh the ideas!

haah the funniest thing is everyone likes the inside but I like the outside way better. I am not a fan of the inside. The furniture is from the renters that live there now, and I cannot wait to rip out a few walls and the carpeting and fake wood. Plus I want a clubfoot bath tub hahaha.
yes we need to build a guesthouse and bbq parties will be happening during the summer for sure.

Woot! Looks great :D So wordwizard's gonna be hosting a WF house party then :p

And 300 thousand dollars? That's what, about £150,000? That's really quite good, considering we paid £400,000 (~$800,000 CAD) for a four-bedroom detatched, with nothing like 2.7 acres :p

Wow, the house looks stunning WordWizard, like something out of a postcard. We have boring houses where I live, nothing that looks as cute as yours. :)

wordwizard

awe thanks guys.
The house only has 2.5 bedrooms. We are taking out the one bedroom, and making the one large bedroom into two.
It will take about 1 year to renovate but then we are going to re asses the house, and remortgage, then build new house in teh back and rent out the front.

I think we are going to add a bedroom on og a guess house, not sure yet
We are also going to do a wrap around porch, and make the front entrance into one big main one with double wide doors. hmmm maybe this will take way longer than a year hahah because we also need to build a huge shop. One year for the insides anyways.
Hopefully very thing goes well with the inspections because the deal doesnt go through unless inspecions turn out ok and if soemthng isnt ok we have to bicker back and forth over who is going to pay to fix it. cross fingers ppl

The inside looks great. The outside looks weathered, but I don't see any sagging, so the frame looks solid. And it's nice and secluded-looking.

Looks like a great deal. Congratulations!
