just think of what the absolute worst party would be for you and go with it... maybe have mom invite all the wrong kids, have it in a place you wouldn't want to be caught dead at, insist on you wearing a new outfit you wouldn't want to be buried in, and so on... then, you could give it a happy ending by having the boy you have a crush on and who doesn't know you're alive come to it and decide you're the girl for him!
