View Full Version : Supernatural
Leaka 01-12-2008, 03:11 PM Young characters have Phobias and they have to work together to heal their Phobias
And then they realize later on of course that their minds have been controlled, but not in that generic sentence. It was more like their minds were diseased and the diseased mind controlled the mind creating these supernatural and fearful things to happen. So everything was created by their diseased brain, but it manifested itself into reality.
The reason the mind had been diseased is because the water they drink had been contaminated with some new bacteria that the science lab had created. The new bacteria was suppose to cure the elderly brains and so they put it in the towns drinking water.
The water had been contaminated by the alliance of the science lab and water company. What they hadn't realized was that it affected the youth and not the adults as they hoped. But when the alliance of the water company and science lab finds out the bacteria is affecting the children they continue to the contamination of the water wanting to see what happens next.
This all goes on in a very small and rural town that almost sounds like fiction. Its not on any map because its so small.

Leaka 03-10-2008, 10:12 AM Big question.
Who wants to start this RP?
Charisma 03-10-2008, 11:09 AM How about me?
-------------
Savvina lay basking like a hound in the moonlit sky. She rolled her golden-brown hair into a bun and licked her lips as she contemplated on the diet plan she had designed for weight-loss. She was thinking of altering the fruit list, though. She felt it didn't suit her taste.
"Savvy?"
Someone's cracky voice came from behind. Savvina ducked any manifestation of reality, acting dead.
"I know you're there, witch."
He mocked, and surrounded her soon enough. Then he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her up, while she kept her face engulfed in the hood she was wearing.
"What are you doing here?"
He asked, horror and anger mixed together to bring an undefined tone of voice. Savvina shrugged him off, not willing to answer.
"You better answer me. Otherwise I'll tell mom and you'll be in trouble."
"Go on, tell her. I'll confess everything."
At this, the boy laughed mockingly and shook his head.
"You'll confess to her that you're afraid of the dark?"
"No, you idiot. I don't want to sleep."
"Why?"
Now, that's a good question.
"I don't know. It's such an unpleasant feeling. As if I'm losing grip of myself."
"Let it stay a feeling, and come home. The more you run away from it, the worse it gets."
Savvina unwillingly walked beside him as he motivated her all the way back to the ranch.
"Don't worry. You're a bold girl. You'll cope with it."
Savvina knew her brother was not realizing the intensity of her fear. But she didn't want to explain, either. The explanation itself was a dread.
Leaka 03-10-2008, 11:58 AM Julian was sitting on the coach. His acrophobia had gotten worse. He could no longer go up the stairs. No one was home at this time. He finally got up and started pacing about the house.
He finally decided to muster the courage to go up the stairs. He put one foot on the step. Then his second foot. He began to climb the steps he used to be able to walk upon.
He was making good progress and raised his head to see how many more stairs he had to go. The staircase seemed to spiral in front of him. He realized how high he was.
His breathe became shallow. He didn't know what to do. Cold sweat trickled down his neck.
One more step. One more step.
he couldn't make it any more. He let go of the rail and curled himself in a ball. He couldn't go on.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 12:10 PM Savvina shyly lay on the bed, after having a glass of water. Sweat trickled down her forehead as she tried to cope with the overwhelming and unreal fright. She change her side from right to left, and thought of the diet once more. And back to the right. And back to the left. It wasn't until 3 am that she finally felt she was gaining ground. She gave up on turning sides, and started to murmur short prayers to fall asleep quickly. As she was about to leave the realm of reality, she felt a suction force. A force which was enforced on her ribs and in the opposite direction, on her back. Her sternum started to separate from her chest. She tried to breathe, but her lungs were shrinking. Her hands were melting, no it wasn't sweat. They were dissolving in her nails and turning them brown.
Savvina struggle to speak. She could feel the ground open up underneath her, and the sky burst forth, sucking her in like a black hole. Her body wasn't resisting well enough either! She was being torn and dissected and couldn't even protest.
Savvina's family awoke to her screams. They went running to her room where she was aggressively ripping apart the bed.
"Savvy! Savvina, stop!"
The woman screamed, shaking Savvina. Savvina opened her eyes, realizing she was supposedly sleeping.
"Oh goodness...she'd sleepwalking."
Savvina knew better than to accept that diagnosis.
"I'm not! I'm-"
She started, but her brother Ivan stopped her.
"She'll feel better after an hour's rest. She's just so excited about school."
Ivan shot his eyes back at Savvina, ordering her to sleep after they left. But Savvina barely followed. Instead, panting and puffing, she spent her one hour in her room. What's happening to me?
Leaka 03-10-2008, 12:20 PM Julian woke up on the coach. He heard his mother in the kitchen. She was talking to father on the phone.
"He's just a boy," he heard her say.
Julian knew what they were talking about. Julian knew his father thought he was being ridiculous not going up the stairs. He grabbed a glass of water. He felt a deep guilt in his stomach. Ever since the murder of his grandparents he could no longer go up high. He remembered that man at the end of the stairs. He no longer wanted to live with that fear. He ranaway from his fear.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 12:31 PM School is always a dry experience if one is a freshman. It became worse if the freshman couldn't sleep and if the particular freshman slept, she'd feel as if hell fire had been thrown over her.
Savvina made her way through the school hallway. He head ached; she hadn't slept well enough. Even drinking a jug of coffee wasn't helping. It had been like this for days now. She had even asked the horses for a diagnosis - usually it would solace her - but in vain. She yawned as she opened her locker, rubbing her eyes which were red with tiredness.
"Someone's been naughty."
Savvina turned around to see who it was. But there was no one there! Great, now I'm having hallucinations. She shut the locker aggressively and hurried to class.
Leaka 03-10-2008, 12:40 PM School was the worse. To get to class you ahd to climbd stairs. But he couldn't he just couldn't. He tried to put his foot on the stair, but it became numb. No sensation. the stairs seemed to morph and laugh at him. A evil wicked smile. A smile that laughed at him.
"Ha ha ha,"
He couldn't make it. He sat beside his lcoker. He couldn't go to class. His grades were falling because he never had the time to see his teacher.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 12:53 PM As Savvina raced to class, knowing that she'd be faced by another daydream anytime soon, she tripped. After falling on her face, she felt much fresher for some reason. She rolled her eyes to see who was sitting by his locker, his head hanging low out of depression. Before she could dispose off her anger though, she got on her feet and dusted her shirt.
"Hey,"
She started, but then eyed the boy more curiously. I may have seen him, actually. She remained composed though, and restated:
"Hey, are you going to bunk class and make me bunk too?"
Savvina soon remembered her manners, and finished politely:
"At least sit in a way that no one trips over you."
Leaka 03-10-2008, 12:55 PM Julian stared at the girl.
"You shouldn't run in the hallway...no one is the hallway at this time," he replied gloomily, "You should also watch what you are doing...sorry."
Julian got up and pace back and forth. He was trying to go up the stairs again. Then he sat back down and looked at the girl.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 01:02 PM Savvina eyed him curiously, wondering what he had just done. The first bell for class had gone off, but there were topics on Savvina's mind.
"I'm sorry...just a little grumpy this morning."
She mumbled after he had sat down, yawning. Thereafter, she looked back at him, a little upset.
"Are you...alright?"
Savvina didn't expect a happy response to such a question posed to a stranger - after all, boys were pretty egoistic. If there was any problem, he'd ask her to get lost anyway. But Savvina was feeling sorry for the gloomy looking young boy.
Leaka 03-10-2008, 01:41 PM "I'm fine for now...I can't go up the stairs," he replied.
He looked at her.
"Are you okay?"
Julian sat beside the desk.
"I'm here little boy...I cleaned your old parents up."
He heard in the back of his mind. He grabbed his head.
"Not this again...shut up...I didn't go up the stairs..I didn't I promise...I DIDN'T BREAK MY PROMISE!"
Julian started to have a panic atatck. His condition was real and there was nothing to hide it.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 01:47 PM Savvina smiled, but before she could reply, the boy started to go fanatical. She took a step back, apprehended, feeling that the boy may harm her. She could relate to him, but there was too little time to analyse that. She should've made a run for it, forgetting she ever saw that part-psycho and part-emo boy, but there was some empathy remaining in her heart which she had to share.
"Is-s...everything..."
Savvina stopped, rewording her appeal.
"Can I help you...in some way?"
Her trembling heads briefly caressed his hands, so as to calm him down.
Leaka 03-10-2008, 01:50 PM Cold seat and tears washed down his face.
"He is still after me the on who killed them," julian replied, "He hides up high...and calls my name."
Julian closed his eyes. He could not contorl himself any more. He couldn't. His fear was slowly eating his heart.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 02:21 PM "Them?"
Savvina asked lowly, as if to her own self. She looked up the stairs but there was no one there. Suddenly, she felt a chill running down her spine. She was started to get excited and frightened so simultaneously that she couldn't act out either emotion.
"Look...no one's there. See for yourself. I think you're seeing things...you should've taken a good night's sleep. Now you're hallucinating like me."
She mocked herself, feeling as if he were an image too. She wasn't sure of her mind anymore.
ValianceInEnd 03-10-2008, 05:01 PM Footsteps came from the stairs and both of them looked up, freaked out by the situation. Around the stairway came an average looking kid who stared out into space with a sort of apathy. Cocking his head down at them he looked for a bit.
"Oh, hey-"
He broke off, then took a few steps to the floor and starting walking off. He knew that boy standing there, his grandparents were the ones who were murdered. They were dead. Death, that very word scared him. Micheal never quite understood why he feared not just death, but things that were dead. His father seemed to always been in the basement working on corpses, a place he never dared to go even if his father offered to give him the tour. He just faked that he was interested in following the family occupation until he could get out of this town. He just wanted to get out of the hall before he came across to Savvina and Julian as a freak.
milove 03-10-2008, 07:23 PM Jesse walked through the hall way. Some of her friends who were chatting at a locker waved to her. She mealy nodded and continued down the hall. She was lost in her thoughts as usual. Though those people always talked of her as a funny, athletic, and intelligent star, they could never really understand the true her.
Last night her father came home more drunk than usual. She could still feel where his harsh blows had hit her. After the beating was over he said, like he always said, "I love you, you know that."
She rubbed her temples. If love felt like that-- She shuddered. It hurt to much to think about that. In fact it frightened her uncontroably.
She didn't notice that she had walked straight into Savvina and Julian, until it was too late.
ValianceInEnd 03-10-2008, 11:04 PM Micheal swiftly grabbed Jesse right before she had run into Julian and Savvina. She was much older and taller then him, but he used what strength he had to stop her from the embarssing accident. He found his hand was on her stomach and briskly removed it and swung it to his side. The others looked at him, and he muttered, "Gotta go to class..." as he attempted to turn on his heels to leave.
Charisma 03-10-2008, 11:48 PM Savvina noticed Michael walk in and then turn away, but she was far too worried about the boy to say or do anything. There were rumors about him being afraid of death, but Savvina wasn't interested in those rumors as much as of now. She then saw Jesse get pulled behind by Michael, who muttered a short phrase as he started to leave. Savvina shrugged, thinking how stupid both of them acted. Believing that this had gotten the boy's attention diverted, she relaxed her calf muscles which were unnaturally straightened.
"You're late for class anyway...Mrs. Becker will kill you if you even pretend you were late..."
Savvina murmured, recalling the last time she came to English class late. Not good.
Leaka 03-11-2008, 08:37 AM "i can't go upstairs," julian replied, "I'm not allowed...I made a promise I'm not allowed."
Julian sat beside his locker in gloomy depression. Many kids whispered about him. The suicidal depressed boy of the school who didn't go to class until 3rd period. The kid who had no grandparents because they were dead. He wasn't athletic in any sense, but 3rd period was his physical education.
He didn't have to go anywhere high in physical science.
Across the hall he heard some kids whispering.
"Can't wait for gymnastic this 3rd period," they said passing each other with hallway passes.
Gymnastics meant beam and meant high places. He couldn't be here that is at school.
NO NO NO! he thought.
His perfect world crumbling on top of him. An gloomquake of despair.
Charisma 03-11-2008, 09:24 AM Savvina eyed him shallowly. She switched her gaze between him and Michael, feeling a little misplaced. She opened up her bag, yawning.
"Well, if you made a promise I guess you can't break it," she began, "but I have a feeling that you have something more than just that in your head."
Savvina checked her timetable, after which she glared at the clock hanging in the hallway. Savvina sighed and realized that it was going to be the 2nd period anytime soon. She looked over to the boy for the last time and said carelessly:
"Look, you need to take a break."
She then handed him a happy tab, and laughed.
"Sorry, but I ripped this off a boy. Never took drugs, but you may need some."
Savvina didn't know whether she was drunk all of the sudden or what, because she never recalled getting a happy tab from a boy. Heck, she didn't remember having a happy tab. She was having a hallucination again - but she didn't know what was right or wrong this time. Oops.
Leaka 03-11-2008, 09:38 AM "No that's for you...I put in your pocket," Julian replied, "From the looks of it you need a break."
Julian looked at the girl and got up from the ground. He decided to go to the boys bathroom to keep away from the 1st period rush. He looked in the mirror sadly and sighed.
No one was in here and he took out his ant-depressant medicine. The tablet read take 2.
He took 5.
Charisma 03-11-2008, 09:52 AM At least I no longer see things. Savvina yawned once more and threw the happy tab in the dustbin, ignoring anybody else standing there. Since she was too late for English class, she made her way to the gate instead. Yes, she was going to skip school. She didn't know why she was suddenly thinking she had met Pinocchio or Hitler. She swiveled her head round and gave one last look towards the school.
But before she could jump out, her drooping eyelids got the better of her. She felt a surge of sleep pull close her eyes, and it started again. All over again. She was being sucked apart. Her head was begin shaved this time. The person laughed on the other end and made fun of her. Savvina screamed before her throat started to narrow.
ValianceInEnd 03-11-2008, 03:37 PM Micheal sat glumly in his 3rd period math class, completley bored and uninterested by today's lesson. He twidled with his pencil as he thought about everything but geometry. The strange encounter he had had earlier today kept crossing his mind. He felt a strange conection to all of them, as if something unexplainable bound their fates together. There was a small thud on his desk and looked down. A crumpled dead lizard had been thrown on his desk by someone from across the class. His eyes widened and he literally screamed at the top of his lungs. Charging out of class and into the hallway he triped and fell hard on his face. He knew he was going to get in trouble for leaving the classroom so suddenly, but the laughter of the other kids emanating from the room cut deep into his feelings. I've gotta find what's wrong with me he thought sullenly to himself.
Leaka 03-12-2008, 08:44 AM His thoughts and sheer will began to slip away now. As long as he was in a world with no fear he would be okay.
He fell on the bathroom floor dizzzy and unable to stand or think. But he would be in a place of no fear.
He would be at peace here. Or so he hoped.
milove 03-12-2008, 02:32 PM Jesse had been sitting in the stall in the bathrooms after Micheal had "rescued" her. It felt so good when he had done it. It felt almost like.... love.
Fear exploded in her chest. There was that word again. Tears of fright pushed passed her eyelids causing her mascara to run.
She didn't know how long she sat there, but she knew class has started. Slowly she stood up. With out really thinking she left the bathroom.
There was that boy again. He was on the floor with his face pressed against it. She was rooted in the spot. Her heart beat uncontrollably.
Some how she found her strength and stepped towards him. "Needs some help?" she said shakily with her hand outstretched.
ValianceInEnd 03-12-2008, 03:39 PM He heard the voice of a girl above him, and slowly raised his head up. It was Jesse with an outreached hand. He dipped his head and grabbed her hand as she helped haul him up. How embarassing, he thought to himself. Shed's probably hear about the incident by lunch time (news always traveled fast in school). Without making eye contact he mumbled, "Thanks, thanks alot for that." as he tried to force out a seemingly relaxed and cool smile. It wasn't.
milove 03-13-2008, 05:51 PM She nodded. That's all she could do. She was rooted in the spot. She was just to scared to move. To scared to think. To scared to do anything, but stand there with her eyes wide in shock. She was even to afraid to scream.
Her hand was even stuck in the same place. Why had she helped him up? Did it even do anything good, but ruin her mind and her reputation? He'd probabally tell his friends about how miss perfect wasn't so perfect, or at lest that was what she thought. She would fail as a person in society if that happened. This caused a new wave of hysteria to travel through her. Tears of fear escaped her eyes once again.
ValianceInEnd 03-13-2008, 10:04 PM Micheal stared at her as she began to cry in front of him. He looked left and right, and saw no one else in the hall. Why, why is she acting like that was all that kept racing through his mind. "Wh-what's wrong?" asked Micheal. "Is there something wrong?"
Charisma 03-23-2008, 04:19 AM Savvina finally dropped to her knees, exasperated. Her head was no longer hurting but the the whole shock had been too stressful. There was a sudden jerk from behind. Uh-oh...the principal.
"Jonathan!"
She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"You're coming with me, and all those kids who are out of class right now."
"Which kids?"
Savvina murmured worriedly, thinkign about the boy.
"I saw a boy in the hallway, but came to your scream instead. But that's not all. YOU ALL ARE IN DETENTION!"
Savvina felt like she would faint. She murmured lowly:
"Level..."
"Level..."
The principal seemed unsure, but soon replied:
"A level never devised before."
Savvina could only imagine. In fact, she could only fear.
Leaka 03-24-2008, 08:47 AM His breath felt shallow as he lay on the bathroom floor. His body felt numb and all the worlds seemed to come together in one big ironclad moment. Life seemed to leave him just for a little while.
Then his fear became apparent. This was suppose to be his happy moment and yet the heights crawled inside his mind like a wriggling parasite. He promised them he wouldn't go up and he broke that promise. How was he to live?
The world seemed to come together like a velvet shawl. Did he overdue it? Was five pills to much?
Then he passed out on the bathroom floor. It wouldn't matter no one came in there anyway. No one would no his little secret.
Iulia 03-24-2008, 11:57 AM "Chasity?" The familiar voice twisted into her bedroom. "Chasity, why aren't you at school?" Now her mother was at the door. Chasity grabbed her pillow and pulled it over her head. She hoped her mother would not rip the covers off to discover her jeans and T-shirt. She'd been awake while her mother was at work, but had climbed back into bed upon hearing her key in the lock. She meant to pretend she was sick.
"I - my stomach," she groaned.
"Chasity . . ." he mother said, warningly.
"No, mom, I'm really sick." The truth was, she was not a slacker, she was not a "bad girl", she was simply afraid. School was huge, and there were so many people! The thought itself terrorized her.
"You've been sick for three days - yesterday it was your throat, the day before you were "achy" and the day before that you said you had a migrain - if you're going to fake it, you may as well stick to the same story." Chasity sighed and threw the covers over her head - she curled up into a ball and murmered "it's so big".
"I know," he mother coed, stroking her back, "but you can't miss so many days or you'll eventually fail." Chasity knew it all too well.
"But . . . why can't I go to a little private school? Why can't you homeschool me?"
"Private schools are expensive, baby, and you know I have to work."
"I hate it." Chasity said, knowing her voice was thin, muffled, and possibly not even comprehensable. She felt the rickety floors of the small apartment shake slightly as her mother shut the door. Was she leaving? That was all? When her mother didn't yell, didn't get upside, and didn't force her to go - that was when she was in real trouble.
Leaka 03-24-2008, 12:17 PM His breath came back as if he had awoken from death. He took one long gasp. he was in a nightmare for two hours now. He had to get to his P.E. class.
He quickly got up from the floor and ran to the boys locker. He waited in the long line of rowdy boys. He wasn't like them. He they were playing their games to jump and touch the school roof. He eyeballed the roof and he felt woozy. Just thinking about how high it was.
He hoped they weren't doing gymnastics in class. He didn't want to "Freak" out in class. Kids made fun of him enough. Kids made enough rumors.
Charisma 03-24-2008, 01:28 PM Savvina coyly followed the principal, pushing her hair behind. It was Algebra class for her, but she was to be in a dungeon instead. The principal looked around, looking for someone.
"Where's that little snippet?"
Savvina yawned, tiredly scratching her chin.
"Savvina!"
Savvina immediately erected, murmuring:
"Y-yes."
"I asked you something."
"Uhh..."
Savvina had no idea what she had asked.
"WHERE IS THAT BOY?!"
"I don't know?"
Savvina replied calmly, while the principal breathed out.
"Michael..."
She groaned to herself. Savvina gasped, realizing that Michael was to be with her. That dead man's chest. She shivered at the thought of the geek. But she was happy for Jesse. Somehow, the principal didn't notice her.
ValianceInEnd 03-24-2008, 03:40 PM Micheal sat in the hallway after an unsuccessful talk with Jesse. He heard the high-strung yells of the principal.
"F***..." he murmered to himself. He didn't like to think hateful things, but the only word that came to mind was bitch.
He looked up and saw the principle escorting Savvina in a rather haughty manner.
"You're coming with me!" she screamed at Micheal. He didn't bother to look up at her. I don't want to deal with this he thought. She suddenly siezed him from behind the neck and hauled him to his feet.
Charisma 03-25-2008, 09:27 AM Savvina felt the ground rumble underneath her feet as the principal shoved both of them into the basement, and then pushed them continually towards a room.
"Oh...you're done for..."
She murmured to herself as she kicked open the discarded, rotting once-upon-a-time classroom.
"You'll stay here."
The principal roared, and turned to leave.
"But wait! Where's the teacher?"
Savvina asked, feeling insects crawl on her skin.
"None. I'll lock the door from here and the window's already shut."
The principal replied, followed by a nasty cackle. The door closed on Savvina's face and she looked around the room, which looked like the interior of a grave. There was hardly any light. The shutters were blocked by mud and spider webs but some rays of light filtered through the ventilator. The seats and tables were broken, their paint torn off and the teacher's table was drawn to a side. The board was sheeted with a layer of mud and algae. Savvine turned away, disgusted.
ValianceInEnd 03-25-2008, 05:12 PM Micheal nervously looked about the classroom, then tried to sit on one of the old moldy chairs. It seemed to eminate death in here, and he felt shivers coming up his spine. Thankfully, there was nothing physically dead in front of him so he didn't have a meltdown, but still he could barely move or breathe. He looked over at the other girl, Savvina was her name, right? She seemed to look awfully tired as if she hadn't slept in days. Strange he thought, he had that feeling again that he, Savvina, Julian, and Jesse all had something in common. Something that wasn't... right.
Charisma 03-26-2008, 04:56 AM Savvina didn't dare sit on any of the chairs and purposefully kept strolling around the room, knowing she'd doze off if she didn't. She briefly looked towards Michael who was thinking about something. Savvina realized that if she didn't talk to him she would surely fall asleep.
"What you thinking?"
She suddenly cried out to him, after observing him strongly for a couple of minutes.
ValianceInEnd 03-26-2008, 08:11 AM "Hmmm?" mumbled Micheal as he looked up, suddenly thrown out of his deep thought. Savvina was talking to him, "Eh, nothing really..." he wanted to ask her if she had the same feeling about all these recent strange happenings, but he just didn't think it would sound "normal".
Charisma 03-26-2008, 08:27 AM That wasn't much of a convincing answer, but Savvina had to continue talking. She couldn't feel the terror again - at least not in front of him. Her friends were already distancing away from her, and she didn't want a total jerk to laugh at her too.
"Yeah...how do you like the weather today? A bit too hot for Spring, don't you think?"
She was now playing with her hands, which were slowly falling numb.
ValianceInEnd 03-26-2008, 03:41 PM Psh, the weather? She was obviously stalling, trying to keep the conversation going. Why, he hadn't any clue. Micheal and her and nothing important to talk about, nothing incommon to talk about. He just couldn't make any sense of the situation. Still, he didn't want to come across as rude so he made his best efforts to seem at least mildly interested, "Um, yeah. I guess it is kinda hot outside. Better than last year though."
Charisma 03-27-2008, 04:55 AM Savvina nodded, happy that he was at least trying to be responsive.
"Oh, last year was terrible. I...in the name of useless riddance!"
She broke off, angrily looking down at her legs. She immediately recovered, realizing they were numbing as well. She smiled nervously towards Michael, explaining:
"Rashes...terrible rashes on my legs."
She scratched the lower part of the trouser she wore aggressively, pretending to soothe a rash.
milove 03-27-2008, 05:55 PM Jesse stared blankly as the others were dragged off by the principal. Some how she was unnoticed. She knew exactly why. Everyone gave her special treatment because of her popularity. She was filled with anger at the injustice. When the woman was walking back from escorting Savvina and Micheal, she intercepted her.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Lester, but I happened to notice that you just sent those two students to detention."
"Oh Jesse! Yes they were ditching their classes."
"Yes I see that they weren't inside their designated areas, just like I am now. Why is it that I am not in trouble?"
"Uhh... I.."
"This is injustice. You are denying their rights."
"Yes well... I know you are special--"
Jesse raised her chest dignity. "That doesn't solve anything. Either put me in detention, or let them out."
Mrs. Lester chose what any person in power would do when it came to Jesse. She let Michele and Savvina out. Jesse smiled at the pair of them as the principal mumbled off to her office.
"Do any of you feel like playing hookie?"
ValianceInEnd 03-27-2008, 07:06 PM Micheal stared blankly at a beaming Jesse when they walked out of the classroom. The principal had randomly come in 5 minutes directly after they were locked up and just let them out as fast as she had let them in.
"Hookie...eh?" Micheal put his hands in his pockets and shrugged, "Meh, why not?"
Charisma 03-28-2008, 02:36 AM Savvina was pretty relieved when they left the hellhole of a basement room. She happily looked towards Jesse, her rescuer. She secretively scratched her leg, saying:
"Hookie's not bad an idea, you know."
She didn't mention her last attempt to escape, though.
milove 03-28-2008, 07:16 PM "Sounds great. What do you guys want to do?" she smiled.
ValianceInEnd 03-28-2008, 11:23 PM What do you guys want to do... why did it feel all of a sudden like they were friends? It didn't bother him, just made him feel uncomfortable.
"Um, how about the pizza parlor? No one will spot us there..." Micheal forced out.
Charisma 03-29-2008, 01:31 AM Savvina shrugged, showing a shallow approval. She didn't want to be seen at any public place, but for the sake of skipping school, she had to pull along. She knew they weren't friends - but Jesse had a point. She was popular, and whatever she said goes.
"I guess the one across the yarn shop would be even more safer."
Leaka 03-31-2008, 08:35 AM He knew he was going to get in trouble for skippin physical education. But he couldn't do all that gymnastic stuff. It scarred him death. they were gymnastics on the stage that he would no longer use.
He found himself running and then he bumped into people. The girl from this morning and a boy he did not know.
"Sorry," he said getting back up.
Charisma 03-31-2008, 08:38 AM Savvina felt a brief surge of insecurity and fear, which evolved into anger and frustration as she turned around to see the person who had victimized her.
"You again."
She said plainly, and helped him up. She looked back at Michael and Jesse, and then looked at the boy.
"Still missing out on class."
She spoke under her breath, letting go of the boy.
Leaka 03-31-2008, 09:49 AM "I don't want to bother you or seem to be nosy, but where are you going?" he asked, "May I come if you are going?"
He had to get out school. This place was killing and eating from the outside. He wasn't a bad student he had all As at least at one point in time. He had never skipped school until now. He was the perfect child, but school was driving him crazy. How long would he last? How much longer would he last before he went completely and mentally insane?
Charisma 03-31-2008, 12:06 PM "We're...umm..."
Savvina wasn't sure whether she should let the boy in anything, but since she wasn't goign to take orders from her juniors, she spoke out:
"We're going to play hookie. Wanna join in?"
Leaka 03-31-2008, 12:09 PM "I'll join," Julian said.
Julian couldn't be at school not now. Not ever.
"This place will just make me go insane,"
Charisma 03-31-2008, 12:22 PM "Fair enough."
Savvina said out, agreeing to his last statement. The place really would drive her insane.
"So its going to be the Pizza Inn, right?"
She said out loud, confirming their decision so that they could get moving.
Leaka 03-31-2008, 12:32 PM "What floor of the Pizza Inn?" Julian aske immediatedly fearing the second floor, the third floor, or even the fourth floor, "The first floor right? First floor."
His body became shivery. He didn't want to think of the heights.
Charisma 03-31-2008, 12:43 PM Savvina eyed him crossly. Is that even a question?! She shrugged it off and folded her arms.
"We didn't think that over yet, but I guess the first floor works."
However, Savvina thought that going to a higher floor could keep them secure. Nevertheless, seeing the boy had issues with it, she didn't push her idea any further.
"And by the way -"
Savvina asked him curiously:
"You're Julian, right? Sorry, not too sure of it."
Leaka 03-31-2008, 12:53 PM "Yes, I'm Julian," he replied.
Julian opened the door for the girl.
"What's your name?" Julian asked.
Julian felt a little lighter this was the first time a popular girl had ever talked to him before. He felt like such a nerd for talking to a popular girl.
All the other kids would have hit him by now.
Charisma 03-31-2008, 01:37 PM Savvina pushed her hair back and replied:
"I'm Savvina."
She walked out gracefully as Julian opened the door for her. She made sure none of her friends saw her with these kids - all of them being juniors and a blot on the status quo.
Leaka 03-31-2008, 01:58 PM Julian smiled a little. He felt like a dork hanging around some popular girls. Who flipped their hair?
And they smelt nice.
Charisma 03-31-2008, 02:04 PM Savvina pulled out her mirror as they walked over to the exit. She looked just right, though the dark circles under her eyes made her look like a witch. She quickly applied a small amount of anti-circle cream on her dark circles, as they approached the gate to freedom. Ah, I can breathe.
"Okay, on the mark of three."
Savvina whispered to them, observing the gate.
"One...two..."
After a final glance towards everyone, she said:
"Three."
Leaka 03-31-2008, 03:11 PM Julian follwoed the girls. Watched as they put their makeup on. Like they needed more makeup. He didn't want to be rude and tell them they looked like clowns. He didn't know what to say or what to talk about.
"Who likes Beethoven?" he asked.
He wondered if popular girls listened to that kind of music.
ValianceInEnd 03-31-2008, 03:58 PM Micheal walked slowly behind the others with his hands in his pockets and keeping to himself. Jesse, Julian, and Savvina walked at a brisk pace that he didn't feel like moving at. This Julian guy had come out of no where and seemed a bit strange to him. Yet any of them could say the same of him so he just kept his mouth closed and kept moving. He heard Julian mutter something about Beethoven. As if anyone listens to him anymore, thought Micheal cynically to himslef. He didn't really listen to music, it never interested him. Still, he remembered a time when he was very young that Beethoven calmed him, relaxed him. He looked up in the sky and smiled sheepishly to himself as memories of his simple child hood came flowing back. That was until he remembered the times in the basement...
Leaka 03-31-2008, 04:12 PM The girls didn't answer. As he had figure. It wasn't very popular music. He remebers when he use to sit on his grandfathers big comfy couch listening to classical with him. Julian looked beside them. He never looked around so much. Shock came to his system as they stopped at the Pizza inn. He couldn't lok up and he didn't want to lok up. Four stories high the pizza sat. With four kitchens. he didn't want to go up no matter what. They weren't going to get him on an escalator or the stairs. The first floor was nice. then he looked at the first floor the Vice-Principal was there.
"Vice-principal Sed is in the Pizza inn," Julian swalowed his spit hard he hated saying this, "We should go on the third floor."
ValianceInEnd 03-31-2008, 04:58 PM Micheal looked over and confirmed the V.P. was there. Damn, he thought to himself, I don't wanna get caught.
"I agree with Julian, let's book it."
Charisma 04-01-2008, 04:25 AM "Well, what's the ish then?"
Savvina whistled coolly, looking back at the boys. She had begun to realize that Julian was much of a creep - now who listened Beethoven in this century. Not even the nature-lover Savvina, who in all other aspects was a pretty social girl. You listen to nature in my place.
She noticed discomfort arising on Julian's face, while Michael seemed pretty calm. Bah, let's just get going. Better than being at school. Savvina yawned and suddenly felt an intense need for drowsing off. But she tried her best not to let her need for sleep overwhelm her need for safety.
Iulia 04-01-2008, 05:24 PM Chasity knew she needed to go to school. She knew her mother would make her the next day. Her apartment building was fine - not too big. Small steps . . . She wished she'd taken small steps before, then she'd have more time. The next day, she knew her mother would force her to go to school - she might not even go to work on time to make absolutely sure she got there. Then, it isn't as if she'd escape - it was even bigger in the parking lot. Chasity walked slowly to the door. She took her shiny, rarely used key off the hook by the door and turned the knob. She turned it on the outside to asure herself it was certainly locked. The staircase was okay - it was a small one, and she gripped the railing as she walked down. Her hand was shaking as she turned another doorknob, the one leading to the hall. The hall wasn't very big either, but there were people checking their mail, or mingling. On this day, only two people chatted over a package. She looked out the clear glass door. The Pizza Inn was in sight - it wouldn't be a long walk, and she'd been there before. Even though it was a whopping four stories high, it was small on each floor. Mostly, kids went there, and since it was a school day, barely anyone would show up. She took a deep breath, and flung the door open. The warm air hit her face, and the people in the street walked by, going about their buisness. I can do this - I can make it . . . can't I? Chasity began to shake. She could see the open sky, hear the chatter of the countless people. The hot air seemed to expand, and everything seemed to grow. Soon, it was as if she were a small speck of nothing. I will NOT run back! she screamed in her mind, and so she ran forward. A car honked it's horn as if swerved to miss her, but she didn't even slow down. When she got into the door, the shock had not worn off. The people still seemed to be numerous, although on the first floor, there were only about ten. She needed a small space, so she ran for the elevator - she pushed "4", and when she got there, she beheld the flashing lights of an arcade. It was empty - she let out a sigh of relief.
ValianceInEnd 04-01-2008, 08:37 PM Micheal looked up as some girl with an insane look in her eyes came dashing through the door. The Vice Principal popped his head up from the magazine he was reading and frowned as he saw her charge into the elevator. He got up and almost looked in their direction.
"C'mon, let's stop moving around. We've gotta get away from his line of vision," as he started jogging for the stairs.
Charisma 04-02-2008, 04:33 AM Savvina nodded and pulled Julian and Jesse along.
"Com'on slow folks!"
She whispered, and followed behind Michael who trotted his way to the stairs. The Vice Principal was busy talking with the waiter for now, which was a good thing.
milove 04-03-2008, 09:04 PM (Sorry I disappeared my Internet crashed)
Jesse trotted behind Savvina up the stairs as she stared at the vice principal. His back was still turned. She smiled. What luck.
"This game of hokie is turning complicated, isn't it," she muttered to the group.
ValianceInEnd 04-03-2008, 11:31 PM Jesse seemed to be going on about a "game" or something. Micheal couldn't really see how this was something fun like you would expect a game to be. He had to admit he felt fairly excited about doing something against the rules, but there was also an overwhelming sense of fear. He didn't really like playing this "game of hookie" he just didn't want to stick around the school (as he was sure the others felt, being a group of the schools rumours and misfits). But, he always would try to think about how the "cool" guy acts in movies. They were always calm in any situation and never panicked. He felt he gave off the outward appearnce of calmness, so he felt he didn't need to really worry. If he was being "cool" that was all that mattered right now...
Charisma 04-04-2008, 07:10 AM Savvina almost swooned as she yawned on the stairs. She blocked Jesse's way for a short moment, but then apologetically paced herself. She was so sleepy right now, and she could actually fall out of reality any moment then.
She looked over to Julian who was slacking behind.
"Julian," She started, "Faster."
milove 04-04-2008, 10:48 PM Jesse smiled at Savvina sadly, "Are you okay? You look a bit teired." Then she turned to Julian. "You don't look so good either."
Leaka 04-07-2008, 08:40 AM Julian had one foot on the stairs. He had to move or he was going to be seen by the VP, but he couldn't move. He remeber the promise. He couldn't do it. Julian became more and more frantic until his body stopped moving.
Move. Move. Move.
He looked up the rest of the stairs. He had a long way to go. A lot of stairs a lot of height. It made him wuzzy and dizzy. He held on the railway he wasn't going to make it. But he couldm't pass out in front of the popular people. he mave a chance now. He just might be moving up in the world. His knees gave way. He couldn't break his promise he just couldn't. The stairs smiled at him.
"That's good Julian...now sleep,"
He couldn't pass out now not in front of them. He didn't want to get them caught, but he couldn't make it past the fourth step. He couldn't. He wanted to stop just stop it. All of it. He hated the world. Why was everything so high?
Charisma 04-07-2008, 08:49 AM "I'm fine. Fine."
Savvina murmured, lightly slapping her head while Jesse turned away from her. She followed her and looked at Julian who seemed to be dizzying at the sight of the stairs. Sweat made way down his neck and it looked like he would pass out any minute now.
"Julian...you okay? Don't do something stupid, okay - the Vice Principal would eat us alive."
Savvina reached out for him, but an unknown fear kept her from getting too close.
"Come on, I'll help you up."
Leaka 04-07-2008, 08:53 AM Julian couldn't see the hand extended in front of him. He was to dizzy. He couldn't make it.
"I''m sorry I won't break the promise," Julian said talking to an unknown force, "i didn't mean to upset you...I'l get caught by the law rather then break your promise...I'm sorry master."
Julain couldn't take it anymore. Pressure was building up like a strong force in his head. He couldn't keep his concious going. His eyes flutter and he passed out.
Charisma 04-07-2008, 10:13 AM Savvina gasped and quickly grabbed hold of Julian before someone noticed he had passed out. The Vice Principal now looked around the floor suspiciously, but hadn't caught sight of them yet. She flung Julian towards Michael, making him grab hold of him.
"He's got some sort of issue with stairs...let's just take him upstairs, okay? We don't want to create a scene here, otherwise we'll catch his attention."
Savvina murmured, scratching her neck and slowly walking past Michael and Jesse.
Leaka 04-07-2008, 01:59 PM With no concious it began to bend again.
You're a bad boy for breaking the promise you made.
Bad boys deserve a punishment.
Bad boy.
You made a promise.
Bad boy.
ValianceInEnd 04-07-2008, 03:34 PM Micheal found Julian thrown litterally into his arms. He didn't really want to have to help him, what the hell was up with the stairs anyways? Still, he didn't want to be caught by the VP as much as anyone else so he hauled him up the flight of stairs. At the next floor he sat down and gasped for air. Julian wasn't all that big, but neither was Micheal and he was a bit strained from dragging him up so many stairs. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea to tag along. The situation kept gettin weirder and weirder, as if everybody was hiding something from everyone else. But, the thought of school still overpowered his suspicions with fear.
Charisma 04-07-2008, 03:45 PM Savvina stopped for Michael, looking towards Jesse briefly and then down towards the VP. The VP was on the move. He was either aiming for the door or for the stairs. She perspired as she thought of the latter. She flung her head towards Michael and Jesse pointing the upper storey.
"Go. And leave Julian behind if he's gonna slow you two. Just don't let him get you."
Savvina didn't want to get the children caught - her trouble was hers, but they were just kids - at least Michael. She could stuff Julian elsewhere for now anyway. Then, she might be able to put off the VP.
She frantically gestured Jesse and Michael to leave as the VP proceeded towards the stairs.
"He's coming! Go!"
Leaka 04-07-2008, 03:52 PM A force inside Julian awoke him. Julians eyes opened. He was a bit groggy, but he found himself in another males arms.
He imediatedly let go the other male.
But that made Julian get the ey contact of the VP. His heart pounded and as the Vp came roaring up the stairs.
"YOU STUDENTS GET BACK TO SCHOOL! the VP yelled up the stairs.
Julian thought they were done for. He would lose the friends he made and then the VP was gon. The VP just disappeared into thin air in front of their eyes.
Julian looked at Savvina.
"He just disappeared," Julian said, "Ny the way I'm sorry for causing you guys problems...I'm..."
Julian did not have the confidence to tell them he was afraid of heights.
milove 04-07-2008, 06:36 PM Jesse smiled softly and touched Julian's shoulder. "It's not your fault. I was the one who advised this whole facade."
Suddenly as if an Julian was scorching hot she removed her hand. That was a loving touch. There was that word again. She felt faint to, but kept on going up the stairs.
ValianceInEnd 04-07-2008, 07:01 PM Micheal stared blankly around. Everyone else was around Julian as he was waking up, trapped in one of those sort of nostalgic moments common in movies. Not to mention the VP was just beneath them, likely to come up and find them anytime. None of them seemed to realize just how weird things were. Did anyone else have the same feeling that this was all connected? What's to help it? I shouldn't be such a pessimist he thought.
Charisma 04-08-2008, 03:36 AM Savvina sighed and a frown came to her face,
"Later. Right now, move everyone."
She lightly pushed Julian who was still lost. She found Michael maturer than the others, which was a relief.
ValianceInEnd 04-08-2008, 08:11 AM "Sure, let's get a bit farther away from the VP." Everyone started moving upstairs, even Julian seemed to do ok. Maybe it was just because he was dizzy or not quite all there yet. The third floor was the arcade, but since it was still school hours no sounds of laughing children could be heard. It was entirely empty. Good. They couldn't go to the fourth floor because that was the adult's only bar. He had heard the VP was a drinker, so if he decided to head up there via the stairs, they would have to hide in that video jungle.
Iulia 04-12-2008, 01:25 PM Oh crap, Chasity thought as the door creaked open. Was school out already? She imagined the mob of children that should run through the door any second - then they vaporized as a small group stepped in. A boy with dark hair raised an eyebrow at her, and her next thought was "I probably look stoned".
ValianceInEnd 04-13-2008, 03:14 PM Micheal looked down at the girl they had seen earlier lying there on the ground. He cocked his head in confusion, wondering what was her problem. He looked over to Jesse, afraid she might try to be friendly and even maybe let another person into their group. He didn't want to have to deal with more dead weight that could cause problems, because Julian was already enough for him to handle.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 10:16 AM Julian could hear the loud noises of games coming closer. Didn't the other kids find it weird that the VP disappeared right before their eyes.
Julian stood away from the windows and the other kids.
He wanted to get away from anyone. He felt hot and embarrased for passing out like that.
He looked at the arcade games.
"When we we're children life was always innocent, but as we grow older life becomes a violent sea of angry and hatred," Julian paused remember the words of his grandmother, "Death is the rebirth of a better person."
Charisma 04-14-2008, 10:27 AM Savinna sat down on a table, rolling her hair on her fingers. The arcade was empty, and she wasn't into gaming herself. She thought about the day's happenings, and considered this day to be really exciting in a naughty manner. She felt calm spread throughout her body. Her muscles were relaxing. Her eyes were suddenly drooping in sleep, out of control. She found herself slowly giving in the darkness, the shallow darkness. And it started all over again.
Her skin started to boil from her forehead. Her hair turned to dust as she felt an unusual wind cremate most of the hair. Her ribs started to bang against a wall, perhaps; her breathing was obstructed by gulps of blood clotting in her trachea. She could feel her stomach burning, convulsing with the intestines which were being leeched by monstrous rats. She couldn't see either. Her eyes were pinching terribly, pimples emerging all over the eyeball. She tried to scream, but there was no peace of mind to even conjure a voice for that. To those around her, she was moaning in her sleep. But little they knew how horrifying the experience was.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 10:34 AM Julian got up all the sudden. It was an odd feeling. omething was telling him their was something wrong with someone. But why would he know? How did he know?
Julian didn't know why, but he began to walk up to Savvina. His hands were out stretched he didn't know why he was doing it.
He had never touched a pretty girl before. He wodnered if he would get hurt.
"Savvina wake up," he hissed in a voice not like his own as if something else had taken control of his body.
He gave her own good push.
"Wake up," he said once again.
Charisma 04-14-2008, 10:47 AM Savvina felt a hand. It was not like the claws which she was held by in this amplified darkness. Then a whisper surged through her numb body.
"Wake up."
Savvina immediately tried to break out of the illusions. But it was no use. She eyelids squirmed, but didn't open. But she didn't give up. She fought the slumber which had seized her. Still asleep, she held her head in her hands and started to scream, freeing her voice from the clutches of the dark forces.
"Let me go! Let me free! Oh, please, help me!"
There was a sudden release on her mind, and all the terrifying feelings left her. She was alright, but only for the time. She slowly opened her eyes, her memories of the day a bit shaky. She freed her hand from Julian, somewhat frightened.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 11:01 AM Julian looked at Savvina. She was scared for her life. She was frightened and unaware of what was going on.
"Its okay," he cooed.
Julian felt much at ease and he wanted to help Savvina. He didn't know where this power came from, but something told him to comfort Savvina.
"Its all right we're here," Julian paused, "You're...."
he couldn't find himsel to use the word friend or anything like that.
"We getting to know one another,"
Charisma 04-14-2008, 11:09 AM Savvina tried to smile, but she couldn't get herself to. However, she gratefully nodded her head towards Julian, unable to understand herself. She was deeply embarrassed, but she didn't know why. Her memory was definitely shaky.
"Thanks Julian. It's just that -"
She stopped, deciding not to confide in him. She hardly knew him, or anyone around here, who were probably thinking that the 'popular' girl was a total jerk.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 11:14 AM Julian nodded at Savvina. Julian stuck his hand in his pockets. He gave her some coins.
"Games can relax people...I recommend Columns," Julian said, "Who's hungry cause I have enough money to get us some pizza?"
Julian was trying to distract himself and maybe Savvina as well. Just distracting and dawdling.
Alos Julian was kinda close to the window. He didn't want to look.
"What kinda pizza do you want?" he asked.
Charisma 04-14-2008, 11:19 AM Savvina looked down at the coins and thought about the idea of playing Columns. She was not into gaming, but even her friend Crystal had recommended the game so she decided to give it a go. Upon Julian's following question, she spoke out promptly:
"I love pizza, so expect me to ask for a large Euro pizza."
She grinned, finally relieving her muscles. She was still trembling, but her blood flow had improved over time and she hoped she would recover after a short while.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 11:22 AM "All right I get a half and half extra large...half pepperoni, half combo, and half cheese so we have a choice," Julian said.
Julian went to go down the stairs. The stairs curved and lurched at him. This was not a very good idea.
"Micheal, do you want to help?" Julian asked afraid to be alone.
ValianceInEnd 04-14-2008, 03:54 PM Julian seemed to be somebody different, seemed a bit more confident. He looked over to Jesse who was comforting the girl lying there and to Savvina who had just had what seemed to be the most terrifying experience in her life. Looking up to Julian he said, "Sure, why not. But, eh, let's get a vegetarian..."
He remembered when he liked peperoni, the crunchy slivers of pork on pizza. But those were something that was no longer living and Micheal found these days that he couldn't stomach it. He didn't want to look like one of those strange vegetarian boys, but there was nothing else he could think of.
"Let's go on up," said Micheal.
Leaka 04-14-2008, 04:09 PM "Half and half," Julian said, "My grandma said that when people have difference in taste to get half and half."
Julian began the ascent up the stairs to order some pizza. He made sure Micheal was close, but not to close. He didn't want them to think he was some weirdo who liked other boys. But he didn't want to lose himself again. The stairs were laughing at him again the sinister laughs of the stairs.
"You're breaking your promise Julian," the voice said.
"Go back down or I'll punish you,"
"Don't break your promise,"
"Shut up...shut up...shut up...shut up...shut up," Julian thought.
"Julian don't go against me...don't DEFY Me,"
"I'm sorry Micheal can you get the pizzas I don't want to after all,"
ValianceInEnd 04-14-2008, 04:18 PM What the hell? First he asks him that he wants him to go, and then he decides he "doesn't want to go after all?" Micheal gave him a piercing and unkind look of disbelief. But, though his actions tended to be negative, Micheal always struggled to be positive in these times. He wanted to ask just what was Julian's malfunction, but since he had already proven enough something was not quite right, he forced himself to let it slide. Besides, he couldn't claim himself to be an average person after all.
"Um, yeah. I'll get you guys a half-and-half. See you in a bit." He turned around and walked up the stairs, muttering to himself.
Charisma 04-16-2008, 01:59 PM Savvina ignored Jesse and the boys, walking over to the Arcade. She spun the coin, balancing it on the palm of her hand. The best thing about this place was that there was a field behind the plaza. Although wicked people were thinking of constructing a mall in a patch of the farm, the glistening shine of glossy greenery could be observed even from the topmost floor. She whistled a jolly tune as she played a pleasant game of Columns. Though the sound effects were somewhat irritating, she kept her cool and pondered briefly over the situation of her latest 'hanger-ons'. Actually, they are something like friends.
After seeing how Julian had reacted to the stairs, first at school and now at the plaza, she realized that he suffered from an intense fear of flight. About Michael and Jesse - she had only heard rumors, some a bit ridiculous. The most believable for Michael was his fear of death, while Jesse was rumored to be a heart-broken girl. If that made any sense.
A thought kept pinching the back of Savvina's mind. Something told her that they were connected. Their fears - or stupidities, perhaps, had a connection. Her assumption was vague, but she was so sure about Julian. They both feared something intensely, and Julian seemed to console her at the right time, and she was with him at school and when he collapsed at the stairs. Did it mean they knew each other because of their fears? Or was it something more?
Maybe I've been reincarnated and he pushed me off stairs when I was asleep! Savvina chuckled to herself, despite the fact that she had lost the game.
ValianceInEnd 04-16-2008, 05:15 PM Micheal talked to the man on the register and ordered a pizza. With a strong sigh, he ordered half-veggie half-meat. The man kept looking at Micheal funny, as if he knew what they were up to, but seemed to not really care. The uninteresting fellow went back into the kitchen to carry out their order. Micheal put his hands in his pockets and walked over to the window over looking the little field in back. A sign stood on the small street between the field and pizza parlor which read "Ultizen Corp: Bringing the freshest in technology to the farming community." On it was a picture of a smiling family surrounded with advanced, if not fanciful, technology. Ultizen was a large company that was expanding into the rural areas of the country to improve farming. He had heard rumors that they were experimenting with growth hormones for corn and other important produce. He had even read some rumors on the internet that they were conducting experiments in human advancement, especially repairing the damage caused to brain from aging. Some people in the town actually thought they were putting something in the water, though he had no idea how they could have figured something far fetched like that out. Still, it seemed like an interesting idea. Something inside kept telling him that all wasn't quite right with this Ultizen Corp.
milove 04-16-2008, 05:23 PM (sorry I disappeared y'all)
Jesse put her head on the table. Seeing Julian wake Savvina so gently like that made her feel so sick. That loving touch was so scary and disgusting.
She slowly rose her head which was throbbing painfully. "Julian, do you by chance have any pain killers?"
ValianceInEnd 04-16-2008, 05:33 PM The pizza was finished and Micheal picked up off the counter with a small "thank you" directed at the guy. He began walking down the stairs casually wondering why he just bought pizza for a group of kids he had only just met that day. To his nostrils came the scent of cooked meat, something that had died. His eyes watered up, and he bit his lip. No, I won't freak out now was all he could think. He did his best to get down the stairway with his muscles freezing up. C'mon, he knew he could do it. He shouldn't be so stupid. He got to the bottom and quickly set, more like threw, the pizza down on the table. Keeping his momentum, he sat himself right down on the next table and grabbed his head. He knew he must look strange, but he didn't care. He could make up an excuse or something. Slowly rising up, he was relieved to see the others, who had already seen a lot, begining to eat the pizza. Jesse definetely wasn't looking 100%, Savvina was off playing a game, Julian was appearing a bit calmer, and that girl was still lying there in the corner.
milove 04-16-2008, 05:45 PM ops, sorry.
Charisma 04-16-2008, 06:40 PM Savvina jumped at the throwing of the pizza tray. She turned around to see a horrified Michael cling to the veggie pizza. Jesse looked unwell, while Julian seemingly was just fine. She quickly followed them and took a seat between Jesse and Julian, cheerily tearing away two pizza pieces.
"Yum ee."
She spoke softly, taking a bite. She then noticed a girl in the corner of the floor. Chastity. Savvina knew her well, but hadn't seen her at school lately.
ValianceInEnd 04-16-2008, 07:00 PM Micheal sat and toyed with his slice, letting it fall from hand to hand. It was only just now that he realized ha wasn't all that hungry. Everyone sat at the table in silence, absorbed in their own thoughts. Micheal couldn't shake the feeling of connection he had to everyone. It had been lingering on his mind ever since their first encounter several hours ago. It seemed strange to him that deep down he felt kind of like they were his friends. He shrugged it off, doing his best to conceal his emotions.
Iulia 04-17-2008, 03:21 PM (Sorry guys, my internet isn't working, I'm at the library.)
The girl had given up - she was now asking a boy called "Julian" for pain killers. Chasity felt as strange as she ever had, but she was glad the girl was no longer trying to console her. In her mind, she'd been saying "get away from me", but her throat seemed to be closed and she could utter no words. Now her head spun as she shook on the floor. Go away goawaygoawaygoaway. She didn't know how she'd get home - she didn't want to move from the small space of the wall. Oh why did she even go on this little "adventure"! She felt sick, and she could tell that one of the girls had had a traumatic expirience in her estranged presance and it made her feel both akward and intruding. Then she had a horrible thought. What if these kids went to her school? What if they told everyone about the creepy stoner from the pizza place? Finally she got up the nerve to stand. She would not be thought of that way.
"Hi, sorry about that whole . . . scene," she muttered, "I tripped and got the wind knocked out of me." She was obviously lying, and a girl raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
"I-I'm Chasity," she offered.
Charisma 04-17-2008, 03:37 PM Savvina smiled to Chastity, someone she already knew well enough to know she was clearly lying. Savvina let out a sigh and recalled everything she knew about Chastity.
She and Chastity had been good friends a while back. Actually, more than a year back. It was suddenly that Chastity started to drift away from her, terming her need for isolation as 'personal space'. The isolations and keeping to herself grew over a long time, and eventually Savvina was told by her mother very harshly on the phone, that they longer could be friends. Some said it was because Savvina was a senior (a ridiculous attempt, indeed), but Savvina felt that something came in between them, which was more than just a change of style. It was a change of relationship.
Savvina always felt they were still friends - but in a different way. As if there had been a connection. Maybe it was best to leave it at that, since Chastity didn't even recognize Savvina anymore. It may have been amnesia, but Savvina felt that the darkness of her mind which had beguiled her to remain alone, might as well have tempted her to forget old friends. Savvina only wished she could help her, but she herself was in desperate need of help.
Savvina raised an eyebrow, and then acted as if she never knew Chastity herself. Instead, like newly introduced people, she spoke softly:
"Uhh, it's okay. These are -"
Savvina felt a pain at the back of her head. A popular girl screamed out : 'Do not tell them they're your friends!'
Savvina cleared her throat, starting again:
"This is Julian, Michael and Jesse. We're -"
Hey, we're...playing hookie?! NO!
"...eating pizza."
She courteously added, but only half-heartedly.
"Care to join?"
Don't join, please.
ValianceInEnd 04-17-2008, 03:47 PM That girl, or Chasity as it appeared, finally stood up to introduce herself. It was done in an awkward fashion, which obviously did not settle well with the rest of the group. Savvina made some motions of introduction, and even asked if Chasity would join them. Micheal sighed to himself, like we needed another person. Getting caught seemed to become more and more likely as the time wore on. Still, something inside him told him he shouldn't be such a jerk. With a hard swallow, he said, "Yeah, um, Chasity. Please join us."
He couldn't believe what he just said.
Iulia 04-17-2008, 03:55 PM Chasity's heart sank. Savvina. The voice sounded almost familiar, but she'd shaken the feeling off. Now it all came rushing back - when the first hint of agoraphobia began to sink into her mind. Her mother had freaked out - since Chasity's father had been killed in the military, her mother became very protective, and the next time she saw Savvina, she was ignored. She didn't blame Savvina, either, because another girl had told her that her own mother had called Savvina and put an end to their friendship. Somehow, she felt comforted, but also even worse. Meanwhile, Savvina either didn't recognize Chasity or pretended not to, so perhaps she could get by with pretending they were strangers. She just stood there, frozen in place as the room and the people in it began to grow, and finally Chasity was the size of a flea. She wanted more than anything to be home - but she couldn't go down those stairs.
"I - um . . ." she began - she didn't exactly care to join, but if she said no and made an excuse, she'd have to go back into the real world. That was an even scarier thought. "I have to go to the bathroom," she said dumbly, seeing the door. She felt as if she would throw up as her cheeks reddened in embarassment. Forget it. I'm never leaving the house again. She thought, thinking school an even more torturous place after this encounter.
Charisma 04-17-2008, 04:02 PM A sigh of relief was on the borderline of escape, when Savvina forced it back in.
"Uhh...okay."
Lies, lies. Why so many of them, Chastity? Why? She turned to Michael who seemed to have been choked for a moment, but then the impression faded.
ValianceInEnd 04-17-2008, 05:12 PM Everyone ate in a sort of solemn silence. No one seemed to want to speak up or start conversation. Micheal looked meekly around, a bit daunted by the quiet atmosphere. He thought back to the sign for Ultizen and decided he would try to start a conversation on it since it seemed to be a hot topic at the moment.
"So what do you guys think of that new corporation coming into town, Ultizen?"
It was completely out of the blue, but Micheal didn't know what else to do.
Charisma 04-18-2008, 03:03 AM Savvina, the most interested in the topic, immediately put down her third pizza piece and started off:
"Oh, those guys are big losers. They are using unstable, artificially made hormones and enzymes in some of the farms. I am so not voting for them. My uncle, Cari, owns a small ranch. The mares have been food poisoned by eating some of those crops."
Toning down, she added:
"On the other hand, farming has improved. Fodder is readily available for the horses, and many of the farmers are reporting good yields. But the error remains - any amount of unstable or radioactive molecules in our bodies could be dangerous. Where they are working at anti-aging, nutritious crops and ample yields, they might cause brain deadness and stuff."
Savvina finally took a break, looking around to see blank faces.
"My father owns a ranch and talks to many people about this on daily basis."
She added, trying to convince her audience.
Then she remembered the beautiful ranch which she loved from her heart and soul. Evangeline and Pristine were her favorite mares, while she also had Fernandez and Fire as her boys. She'd ride them every Friday, which would have been four days later, and would love to talk to them about her problems. However - she wasn't going to tell that to them.
ValianceInEnd 04-18-2008, 08:06 AM Micheal silently listened to Savvina rant on about Ultizen. Seems he hit a jackpot as she knew a lot about them. He honestly wasn't interested by the subject, but he wanted to keep it alive so he wouldn't have to listen to the dead quiet.
"Yeah, I hear that some people have said they've been tampering with our water. What do you think?"
Charisma 04-18-2008, 01:33 PM Savvina thought for a short while, and then spoke slowly:
"My father says that's only a rumor. But my brother, I dare say, disagrees."
Savvina didn't know why she was saying all of this, but she knew she couldn't say this to her chic, popular friends. They would be more interested in fashion than real-world problems.
"My brother has been responsible for feeding the horses since two months. He admits that something is being dumped into the rivers, and its not the average domestic waste. It has got purple and green hues, but in water it turns to yellow, and then disappears. He thinks it has something to do with hydration or something of the sort."
Savvina then cleared up her throat, commenting:
"But he says there is something alive about the waste. I think that's just his perception, but he says he can feel the waste looking at him as he collects the fodder."
Savvina then laughed - the first time she had.
"He's stupid at times."
ValianceInEnd 04-18-2008, 04:02 PM Micheal sort of chuckled. Thinking about waste being alive was pretty funny, and stupid. Savvina seemed to know a lot about Ultizen and what was going on, contradictory to her "popular, I don't care about anything but me" appearance. She actually seemed quite intelligent, so why she never seemed that way at school was beyond Micheal. He couldn't really think of much to say in return because his greatest source were the rumors he heard his parents discussing every now and then.
"Yeah, that's pretty sill I guess," mumbled Micheal, unsure of what to say.
Iulia 04-19-2008, 09:04 AM Chasity could hear murmurs outside the door, but she had no idea what they were saying. She spied the wooden doorstop, and her heart slowed it's unhealthy pace. Without thinking of vandalism, she produced her father's Swiss army knife and began to carve a figure. She didn't alter the shape, however, thinking slightly of others. It was as if she'd finally found comfort - carving was even better than sketching, because it had demension. Then, there was a voice. You were awfully rude to Savvina and her friends. It was her father's voice, gentle, deep, and comforting, though slightly stern in scolding her. Chasity knew sometimes they were her own thoughts, but thinking in her father's voice made her feel less crazy.
"I know, but I can't help it. They were terrifying," she whispered back. That's no excuse, Chas. You know you need to be brave.
"Look where it got you," she murmured defiantly. How dare you!? Now it was her own voice.
"I mean . . . I just -" You ought to appollogize - and stop lying. You know it breaks my heart when you lie. Her father's voice was back and she found her mouth hanging open, her eyes wide. No! No! her voice answered, I absolutely can't! Soon a woman's face was staring up at her from the top part of the doorstop. It was far from her best work, but not bad. A thought crossed her mind to give the figure to Savvina, but she swatted it away. The doorstop, as if still was, was not hers to give - nor would Savvina appreciate such a gift. Nor would Chasity have the courage to face her, come to think of it. But she knew her thoughts were right before - fear got her into this mess, and to conquer a fear you have to face it. Still, the mere thought of leaving the bathroom made her tremble.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 08:50 AM "My dad is the head scientist...he is also the man who founded the company and made it grow as large as it is," Julian blurted out, "My dad is becoming a tycoon now...he rarely comes home...when he does come home he is yelling about work...he seems always stressed, but my dad was talking to some guy on the phone...they said something about a vitamin project...I couldn't hear cery well...I think nothing of it really until my grandparents..."
Julian stopped himself he was ranting he knew it, but something inside of him like an inhuman force stopped.
Don't hurt the one you call Micheal he fears it fears death
This was not the usual voice that bothered Julian every waking hour. This voice was different almost comforting like a mother or father though the voice had no distinct sound.
Julian looked at Chasity.
"I only have my anti-depressant medicine," Julian replied wondering if he should tell them about the medicine or not, "Actually watching the vice principal disappear got me thinking...I think we should tell each other more about ourselves...the reason for me freaking out near the stairs is cause I have severe...."
He couldn't bring himself to say it. Julian had no confidence when it came to these things. Julian wanted someone else to open the conversation ogf their fears. He wanted someone else to help him. He was never able to do anything on his own without the support of someone else.
Charisma 04-21-2008, 09:08 AM Savvina thought of Julian's father and her own on the same scale. Her father was a simple man whose world revolved around his large family, and his affection was directed to his grandparents who were pretty sick nowadays. She had heard from her cousin Phil that his father and Savvina's father were talking to these Ultizen guys about their plans, and there was optimism in their voices. And Julian's father was talking about vitamins. Hmmm.
Savvina then saw how he suddenly brought up the topic of his freaking out near stairs. She didn't know what to say. She had thought it was because he was afraid of stairs, but his use of the word 'severe' and then cutting off, made her ponder.
You go on, Savvina.
An unusual voice said to her. Like an advice from beyond human intelligence.
"I guess you're right, Julian. I mean...I have to say that I feel there's something which has kept us connected. All of us, distressed of school life, stranded in a hallway...then planning to skip school, and all of us more than eager to do so...I know why I did it."
Savvina then cleared her throat, strangling her popular side for the time.
"I am really tired out, and that's not because of the social activities of my life, but because..."
She breathed out, and finally finished:
"I am extremely - and I mean extremely - afraid of sleep. I haven't slept well for days. And I know that if I tire myself, I'll fall asleep. But I can't let that happen to myself. It's...horrifying. Almost as if hell. Or worse."
Leaka 04-21-2008, 09:39 AM Julian looked at Savvina for some reason he felt he could say it. Since it was now part of a conversation.
"I have severe acrophobia...to the point that I have these," Julian said flashing his anti-depressants, "Right now I'm trying not to remind myself that I am on the second floor...this fear happened after my grandparents left...part of it is my ownself another is something else...like another force has triggered the fear to a point where I can no longer do anything with heights...I skip a lot of class cause they are up the stairs I use to be a really good student...now I'm lagging behind the stupid people."
Julian looked at Savvina.
"What is hell like?" Julian found himself asking, "I only wonder through different places of torture and torment...a voice has cursed the high skies for me...my spirit will be afraid to go heaven and I haven't sinned before, but I will be going to hell there is nowhere else."
Charisma 04-21-2008, 09:50 AM Savvina nodded as she listened to Julian's explanation, followed by a peculiarly worded question.
"Well, I don't know what hell is like, because I've never been there."
Though it was supposed to be a cynical answer, she restrained from making it sound so.
"Hell is supposedly the worst placed you can imagine. But hey -"
She paused, pondering hard on Julian's words.
"No voice can curse the heights for you. That's...injustice. I mean, I guess that's a part of your phobia. I'm sure you'll...well...get to the heaven."
Savvina felt a bit stupid, thinking about Michael who probably would've freaked out after hearing of death.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 09:57 AM Julian realized his mistake. He had juist talked about death when he was ordered by the voice not to.
"Um....this pizza is really good...How did you like Columns Savvina?" Julians aid trying to back track on what he just said.
Julian looked at Savvina. He felt bad now because he talked about death in front of Mihceal. But it was an unavoidable conversation. A conversation taht need to be held.
All men die it was unavoidable my children, but maybe you should have started the conversation a little after the secret was told
The voice from before said. The voice with no distinct sexuality, no distinct characteristics. A voice that seemed wiser then any of their years.
Children I will be the ones to guide you, just follow quickly
"You are all connected, but i cannot tell you anymore...I am being watched therefore I let you figure it ou, but call me when you have questions"
Julian looked at Savvina who seemed flabergasted.
"You heard that voice too didn't you?" Julian asked.
Charisma 04-21-2008, 10:05 AM "Columns? Great pastime...yeah..."
Savvina smiled weirdly, trying to calm down her own self and perhaps not let Michael notice a thing about death.
Suddenly a voice rang through her ears. It was the voice which ordered her to speak up, and now it told her other things. Things which she understood immediately, and didn't need to argue with the voice.
Julian's question made her feel afraid, and still tranquil. The voice is right!
She nodded, staring into his deep eyes.
"You heard it too?"
Before he could answer, she spoke up again:
"You think...it's right?"
Leaka 04-21-2008, 10:08 AM "I feel as if I know the voice...so yes I think its right," Julian paused, "That voice sounds familiar...what was that voice. Who was that voice?"
Julian looked at Savvina.
"The voice first contacted me...the voices first contact me...it means that you were right we are connected somehow...first the vp disappearing and nowhere to be seen in the pizza shop, second I woke you up when you fell uncomfortably asleep, and third the voice,"
Julian paused and pressed his mind.
"What does it all mean though?"
Charisma 04-21-2008, 10:19 AM Savvina shrugged. She was trying to join all the pieces together. Suddenly, she stood up, proclaiming.
"Let me get this straight. I have somniphobia, you have acrophobia, and Michael here -"
Savvina smiled at Michael, a very sudden smile.
"You have fear of death."
Almost imposingly, she turned to Jesse and spoke up:
"And I'm sure you've got an issue too. You suddenly broke up with Fred last month, and he said that you guys had no friction in between. Something wasn't right."
Then, very enthusiastically, she continued:
"Which means that we are infected with the same trace of disease - or ethereal forces, whatever this is."
Savvina then sat down, confused.
"But how come?"
Leaka 04-21-2008, 10:25 AM "We are time, we are the disease that will save the other time and life from being diseased...if this mutation gets out the world will be diseased...we are the Earths antibodies protecting it from this muation...our world will turn dark if we don't do something," Julian said without realizing he said it.
Julian looked at Savvina this day was getting weirder and weirder. Julian was saying things he didn't know about himself and he was just feeling weird as well. Why was this happening?
Maybe this was all a dream.
Don't doubt yourself its all real, he heard the non distinct voice whisper in his ear, Thank you for letting me borrow your energy the next time I come back will be for a long time...as I said I'm being watched I have to be careful.
Charisma 04-21-2008, 10:34 AM Savvina raised an eyebrow. Where she liked a lot of spiritual talk, she didn't like too much of it. There, then, Julian seemed so handsome and weird. That's odd. Savvina chuckled secretively and then heard a faint whisper echo within her own self.
There's nothing to laugh about, but something to ponder upon. Think, my child, and work your way out before time falls out.
"Well...you think we should - fight our fears?"
Leaka 04-21-2008, 10:43 AM The voice and the presence he felt was no longer there.
"Voice person is gone now," Julian said, "But you have a point...what are we suppose to fight? I've tired to fight my fears they just get worse the harder I try."
Julian sighed he was much more comfortable being with people like him. Then Julian heard a sound of familiar steps. Julian turned to stone. right there he saw his mother she caught eyes with him. His mother began to tear up.
"Julian, do you know how long I've been waiting for you?" his motehr began.
"Its twelve noon mother," Julian said.
"Its six o'clock you were suppose to be home by now,"
"Six o'clock....I get it now the VP didn't disappear we disappeared...we went through time," Julian slowly said as he realized the truth.
"What are you talking about going through time?" his mother asked.
"Oh nothing mom," Julian said.
Then his mother began to burst into harder tears.
"Its wonderful to see you on the second floor of the pizza place," his mother siad, "Now you can go back into your room and not sleep on the couch."
"No...I'M NOT GOING UP!" Julian said almost immediatedly.
Charisma 04-21-2008, 10:59 AM Savvina backed away, realizing what had just happened. 6 o'clock. Uh-oh.
Another set of footsteps followed. It was her brother, Ivan. He was red from anger and exhaustion, and upon catching glimpse of her, he shouted to someone:
"She's here. God, she's here. The VP was right."
Savvina shivered as her angry brother ferociously pulled her by her wrist, taking her along with him. He didn't say a thing in front of the children, who were also petrified. Instead, he formed a good distance from Julian's mother and shouted at Savvina:
"What were you doing all day long, Savvy?"
Before Savvina could speak, Ivan pulled her to the lowest floor, gritting his teeth. Once in the car, he slapped her. Savvina blushed in embarrassment as she was being slapped in front of Emma, her cousin who had accompanied Ivan. They were engaged - no wonder.
"You skipped school, and then you came here. And kept sitting here for ages. Were you planning to get kidnapped?"
Savvina remained quiet, and Ivan himself cooled down when Emma patted his shoulders from behind.
"Ivan, it's alright."
"No, it's not! It's not, it's not."
He then screamed, slamming then steering wheel.
"It was her parents' wedding anniversary today. Mom and dad are low on terms nowadays, and she promised she'd help in trying to reconcile them! And look here, she's late. They're upset and burnt up. A good occasion wasted."
Savvina turned away, listening the grunting of the engine as the car started.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 11:06 AM "Come now Julian lets go home," his mother said her heavy bags from all the worrying she did drooped a bit strangely, "Lets go home...I'll make you your favorite."
His mother stroke his cheek softly. Mother was a bit obssesed with Julian from time to time. After his grandparents left his mother had become bloody insane. She worried to much, now and then she looked at him with a hungry look, and sometimes his mother was crying. His motehr scared him nowadays.
"Okay," Julian said.
Then Julian saw it a pink glittering notebook. With a name on it: Savvina.
Savvina had left her notebook. Julian grabbed the notebook. It smelled like Savvina. Should he rush to give it to her or should he give it to her tomorrow.
Julian was going to rush, but stopped at the stairs. The stairs wavered and flcikered like fire.
Tomorrow, he would give it to her tomorrow.
Charisma 04-21-2008, 11:16 AM Savvina sobbed lightly in her room, after bearing a session with her parents. They were very angry, but Savvina didn't know whether they were angry on her or each other. They acted inhuman sometimes. She was used to getting beaten once in a while - they were hotly strict, since her family was rather conservative (something she didn't actually mind) - but today, she felt she had lost something very important. She reached for her diary at the desk, but found nothing.
"My notebook!"
She wailed, realizing she had left it at the restaurant.
"I hope no one reads it."
It had some awkward things about these new 'friends' of hers. She used to write about them once in a while, about how beautiful Jesse was but she acted very unwomanly - how mean Michael was when it came to sharing his stationery - and also about Julian. About how useless he was. Savvina gulped as she thought about the first day he dropped a juice on her, and throwing a fit of anger, she wrote a biased entry in her diary.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 11:22 AM Julian was on the couch in his house. His mother was cooking croquetes and some salted, broiled catfish.
He didn't want to seem nosy, but something was telling him to read the notebook. Julian grabbed it and opened it.
Dear Diary, Jesse acts like a dirty woman to all the boys at school. I think she is so unwomanly and pathetic too. If you have to act that desperate for some attention.
(off-topic: Dirty woman...lol! I couldn't say what I wanted too.)
Charisma 04-21-2008, 11:25 AM Savvina walked to the ranch, even though it wasn't allowed. She was just too unhappy, and wanted to share her distress with her animal friends. She was only able to access Fire. Somewhat happy, she jumped into his stable and gave him a prolonged hug. Fire neighed a little, at which she kissed his nose and spoke comfortingly:
"Don't you make too much noise. I don't want anyone to hear us."
She then sat down by his side, starting to talk.
"I had an extraordinary day today. And you must listen to it, too! It's unbelievably cool!"
Her story extended over a long period, with the horse nodded every time she patted him.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 11:39 AM (Please edit your post...I lenient, but there shouldn't be anything to do with OCC and no RP.
I'm thinking of creating a Supernatural Chat so that way we can discuss story and what is going on.)
Julian seemed to go through page by page. Savvinas hates and more hates. Julian even found something about him in there. He felt no guilt or anger towards it he knew it was true.
Because if he was useful he would be able to help his mother.
ValianceInEnd 04-21-2008, 03:38 PM Micheal sat in his room day dreaming. Parents had charged into their little "game of hookie" in the pizza parlor and pulled the other kids off. He just walked home casually with his hands in his pockets. When he came in, there was no one to greet him. Dad was probably in the basement, where they were. He remembered the time he had accidently went down there when he was five. The dark had surrounded him, causing him to cry out. His hands felt cold, dead flesh, then his father came in and pulled him out. Micheal received a strict scolding for going down there, dead bodies were part of daddy's profession and he shouldn't go there until he was a big boy and could handle taking on the family's traditional job. Now, even thinking of working with corpses made him faint. He skirted the subject in his mind as often as he could. Cooking tended to help keep his concious focused on other things, so he went to the kitchen to make some fajitas tonight for Mom and Dad. As he warmed up the stove, he thought about the small discussion, "Conquer our fears." He wondered if all of them were connected by these... irrational fears.
Leaka 04-21-2008, 04:06 PM Julian put down the diary and felt great guilt cover him. He had just red someone elses personal thoughts and feelings. Julian went into the bathroom. What was he going to do? He would break Savvina's trust if she knew. But he couldn't lie either.
He splashed cold water on himself and went back to the couch. He grabbed the notebook again. A paper slipped out and a picture of a very beautiful woman appeared to him.
In the picture he saw Savvina wearing a summer dress. She looked much younger like five years old, but he could still tell it was Savvina.
So that meant the woman was her mother. Julian looked closer at the picture and dropped it right away. there was a translucent boy in the picture. A ghost, spirit, what was it?
And then he saw a number on the back of the picture. Who's number could it be?
He dialed the number 456-9235.
ValianceInEnd 04-21-2008, 05:15 PM Micheal watched the fizzling bell peppers with a silent melancholy. His father loved steak fajitas, but Micheal couldn't work with meat. Even if it resemble its original form in any way, he just couldn't do it. He made up an excuse that he had suddenly decided to go vegetarian as much as he really did like the taste of steak. This fear of death will go away was what he always thought these days. It's just a phase, you'll grow out of it. What was even worse to think of though was if he never grew out of it. Something was wrong. How could so many children with normal lives spontaneously sprout phobias. He no longer felt they were linked, he knew they were linked. The whole time he was with them at the pizza parlor, he felt a strange and unnatural bond to them deep down. He was too distracted at the time to really notice, but in retrospect it was as clear to him as if it were in front of his face. Why they were connected was the big question that circled his mind now. Why...
Charisma 04-21-2008, 07:26 PM "I can't believe you, Tom. All of this is happening and you're simply pulling along."
"I only want what is in my family's best interest."
"That is a blatant lie. Look at Savvina."
"She's just moving out of teenage and becoming an adult."
"Tom, you know that's not the case. I know that's not the case."
The phone in Savvina's room rang. The husband and wife's heads swiveled towards the door. Savvina could hear her phone ring from the stable, and she knew she had to go in and attend it, even if that meant getting caught. She quickly climbed out of the stable, dashing into the backyard and storming into the house through the back door. She could see displeasure on her parents' faces but they only wanted her to attend the phone call. Realizing she were soon to be grounded, she flung open her room and jumped on the bed, grabbing hold of the receiver.
"Hello?"
She spoke softly, like she always would on the phone. She secretively eyed the CLI, which displayed a number she had never ever heard of.
Iulia 04-22-2008, 04:34 PM Chasity was shaking - she was shaking because she was crying, and she was crying because she was alone. Funny, how alone was the only way she felt comfortable, but alone, she was never happy. Moreover, she had heard the strange and philosophical conversation - she had heard Julian's mother, Savvina's brother, Ivan. His voice had changed, but it still was not the deep surly farmer's voice of his father. The pangs in her stomach as she pondered the words of the voices - human and otherwise. She heard the voice, too. She wanted to be a part of whatever was happening - she just had to get up the courage to speak to them. Perhaps Jesse - Jesse's fear, from what she'd heard, seemed similar to her own - fear of people. But Jesse also seemed very meek - not a leader, and it would be hard to speak with her. Chasity, as a child, was a strong leader and a talkative socialite, but as she got older, it slowly faded. The world became a scary place. Finally, she creeked open the bathroom door. Her teary eyes widened in horror. No one was there, and the lights were off. The door was locked - the place was closed. The thought of spending the night there barely bothered her - but the thought of being "rescued" was terrifying.
milove 04-22-2008, 06:20 PM (ugh, every time I try to post it never works.... :( )
Jesse walked down the long road home. It was quite a long walk, but because of her athletics it didn't wear her out. Finally her large home came into view. As she guessed her dad wasn't home; he was probabally drinking or something.
She opened her door and stepped into the dark house. She turned on the lights and the noticed it. A small note was waiting for her on the table in the entry hall.
Jesse,
I'm having some buddies of mine over. I want you to cook us dinner, specifically that nice pizza you make. We will be home around 7-8 so please have it on the table for us. We don't want to wait.
Love your dear daddy
Jesse was horrified. She couldn't make pizza in one hour. The dough had to rise and everything. Maybe she would tell them she didn't have the ingredients. Besides she had already had pizza that day.
She stepped into the kitchen and noticed a few bags filled with ingredients waiting for her. shoot. she thought. Then she realised what the consequences of not following her daddy's orders. It was pain. She needed to do something and do it quick. Swiftly she ran to the phone and called the local delivery service. If the men were drunk they wouldn't tell the difference.
Jesse jumped as the doorbell rang. Running to the door with the money in her hand she greeted the pizza boy and took the food he had. She placed the pizza on a pan and waited for the men to show up.
It was easy to tell that they were coming. They weren't very quiet. William O'Brien strutted in to his home with 3 more intoxicated men. "Jesse," he called sluggishly, "You got my food ready, darling?"
Jesse put on a smile and came out. "Of course daddy."
"Ain't she the pertiest thing you ever saw Wilson?" her dad said to the youngest boy. "I'd let you have her if you want to. Don't worry. I won't kill you like I did to that one boy she dated 2 years ago."
Jesse's eyes watered as she lead them to the table. Her dear sweet Johnathan. Her father had caught them kissing on the front porch. He took out his favorite shot gun and killed her boyfriend in front of her.
The men scarfed down the food with out noticing it wasn't homemade. Jesse began to tip toe out of the room.
"Jesse," her dad called again, "come here angel."
She slowly trudged back. "Yes?"
"Wilson, do you still want my daughter, hm?"
The man called Wilson stood up. He appraised her up and down, "Well you were right O'Brien she sure is perty." Then with speed that was uncommon with the drunk he was in front of Jesse.
She couldn't move when he moved his lips into hers. She couldn't even resist when he put his rough hands on her waist. She was just to scared and shocked.
Darkness filled her vision and she fainted.
What felt like hours, she awoke. She was laying on her bed and was in extreme agony. Her ribs were broken, she had a black eye, and a cut going across her cheek. She had no recollection of being beaten. All she could remember was that disgusting kiss.

'Derek won't be home until midnight.' AJ thought.
AJ opened the door as he remembered that fact to a cold, unforgiving place that was his and Derek's apartment. Derek wasn't exactly a ray of sunshine, but he did make the place seem brighter. AJ hated being alone- it was scary to him.
'He has school...then work.'
AJ cautiously shut the door, then walked inside, clutching Tigger as hard as he could without choking him. The lights weren't on, but the outside sun bathed the house in light. But he was still afraid. AJ turned on the light to the kitchen, then to his room. He gulped and trembled in fear at the empty house, as if a monster was going to spring out of Derek's closet and get him.
He tried various different ways to waste his time- he tried watching TV, eating strawberries... but nothing seemed to work. Nothing seemed to get him to stop being afraid. AJ didn't know how many hours passed, but his heart was pounding in the same fast speed.
AJ flung his head over his shoulder when he heard a creaking door. AJ paused, listening attentively to see if anyone was entering the apartment. AJ heard footsteps coming toward him.
AJ ran into his room and covered himself with the covers.
But when he did, Derek's voice came through and into his ears.
"Don't run and hide. It shouldn't suit you."
The footsteps were Derek all along, but somehow, that fact made AJ cry.
