You're a super-popular, all-star rock band on tour...and that's about as normal as it gets from here on out.
Roadies are starting to go missing...or worse. The bassist may or may not be a superspy-in-hiding (which could explain the well-armed, well-informed assassin force trailing the band). The manager of your record label is secretly under the employ of Satan- and your soul could be next on his selling list. And of course there's the press, the fangirls, the fanboys, the lawyers, the outraged public...it's just another day in your life of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. (Well, two out of three ain't bad. ...Well, okay, more like just one out of three.)
Prepare to be famous....
--
As you could probably tell from the description, this isn't an extremely serious RPG. Basically, we take an "average" superstar rock band, throw in a bunch of bizarre twists (the laws of reality don't need to apply), and watch the fun ensue. Pick an instrument and a backstory (the weirder the better), and we're on our way.
Ideas for instruments: Guitar, drums, vocals, rhythm, keyboard, trumpet, or anything else that you think works. (You can also be a roadie or something else entirely.) Try not to take any instruments that have already been used. Here's my example character sheet...
--
Name: Johnson. (He'd tell you his first name, but then he'd have to....well...you know.)
Age: Either 30 or 31 (It's a long story involving a broken watch, a dose of morphine, and a POW camp in China.)
Sex: Male
Instrument: Bass
Appearance: A tall and fit guy with short brown hair and green eyes. He normally wears a tuxedo (not for sex appeal, but because that's what he's used to from his "past employment.")
Description: The serious and silent type. Formerly a member of a highly exclusive superspy-training industry, he got involved against his will in an inner-company schism...and wound up botching the assassination of his boss. Now on the run from his former employers, he has taken up the perfect hiding spot: Bassist in a rock band. (No one ever pays attention to the bass. No one. Ever.) Still, there are old enemies on his trail.
Other notes: Always carries a pistol...just in case. Has battle-honed quick reflexes. Surprisingly good at bass, too.
