I started an online serial novel a few weeks ago, entitled, "Nurse Blood." I'm up to chapter 4, but chapter 5 will be posted this week. My friend helped me make a wordpress site for it, and it's really cool! I just love the cover!
This is what Joe McKinney said about my book, 'Undead Drive-Thru.': "Undead Drive-Thru was a fantastic read! The pacing was great, and Rebecca Besser did a wonderful job on Ky and John's relationship. That was the most rewarding part, for me, watching that relationship flesh out and take shape. Ky's farewell to Colleen was especially moving. Great characters, and plenty of gory zombie fun. She hit a home run with Undead Drive-Thru!" ~ Joe McKinney, author of 'Dead City', and the newly released novel, 'Flesh Eaters'.
My novella, Undead Drive-Thru is now available! I'm really excited! It's really cool to have a book out that's all mine! hahaha
My novella, Undead Drive-Thru, will be finished this coming week and will be published by Living Dead Press! I'm SUPER excited and can't wait for it to come out. I'll change my profile pic to the cover pic soon. So, if you like zombies, watch for its release!
My horror short story, "On Account of Bacon," will be in the first issue (Spring 2011) of the Living Dead Press Presents Magazine. I am also the editing the poetry/flash fiction section and formatted the magazine cover! It's going to be awesome! My horror flash fiction version of, "Hall of Twelve," and a couple book reviews by me will be included in issue 2 (Summer 2011). Note: The full, extended, graphic version of, "Hall of Twelve," is included in Strange Tales of Horror by NorGus press.
The book I recently edited is almost available--an athology of cannibal stories--Book of Cannibals 2: The Hunger. My story, "Stalkers Beware," is included! There are some very twisted and disturbing stories in the book, so if you are into that kind of thing, you're sure to love it! Not only did I edit it and have a story in it, I also wrote the summary for the back! Summary: Forbidden meat, but the sweetest when you take a bite... Dark desires remain hidden deep in the human consciousness, waiting to be set free. Why not let them? What recipe would you use to cook your neighbor? What cut of your girlfriend would you try first? Would a human steak be more tender on the grill than any you’ve tried before? No matter how you boil it, roast it, or grill it, human meat is what we’re serving up. Cannibalism at its best and worst are contained within this book. Will you be able to stomach the contents as the innocent are served up for your dining pleasure? Or will you cringe with disgust at the wicked and twisted creations the sadistic chefs and butchers are making for your palate? Next time you sit down for a meal at your neighbor’s house, or are enjoying a cookout at your friend’s, will you look at your plate and wonder...is it human?
My zombie novella cover is going to be included in a slide show that will open the zombie panel at the 2011 World Horror Convention in Austin! It's a pretty amazing cover by a talented artist named Justin T. Coons!
My poem, "Skeleton Star," has been accepted for publication by Naked Snake Press (paying market) for the winter 2010 issue of Poe Little Thing!
I just got an e-mail telling me that the five pieces I wrote and submitted on Friday have been accepted by Super Teacher Worksheets! I should get my check sometime this week! This ROCKS!
I did my first radio interview this morning, talking about Dead Wolrds 7: Undead Stories, that I edited and have a story in. I was on Morning Coffee with David Ewen (Oct 10, 2010)! It's available to listen to online, so this should be a good 'thrust' for the book. Just one more thing to add to everything that's going on for me this month.
October has been a great month for me so far. I have a story (Chosen) posted online at Golden Visions Magazine, as well as two stories in their print issue, and I'm the featured author on the Soft Whispers site this week! Add to that, the book, Dead Worlds 7, that I edited has just been released! Plus, Monster Mash by Pill Hill Press has just been released, I have a story in it as well! Why is it some months your have a bunch of stuff and others nothing happens? Hopefully this is the beginning of a good ending quarter of this year!
I'm the feature author at Soft Whispers this week! (Oct 4-8) They are posting three of my poems, a photograph, and one flash fiction story!
I just read a review on 'Doubleshot Reviews' about The Undead That Saved Christmas charity anthology that I'm in! They mentioned my story (and my name!) in the review! It's freakin' awesome, and yes, I'm REALLY excited about it. This will be a great book and will be coming out sometime next month I believe!
