I didn't want to just have the nursery pop up. Thus I decided to show it being built. That would establish the presence of the cameras as well as the jets of anesthetic to put them to sleep if they try to escape. Perhap more importantly, it shows that the room is well hidden and completely soundproof Even if anyone searching for them does suspect Jessica, it'll be hard to rescue them if they can't find their prison. Not that anyone is going to be looking for them. Would appreciate any comments. EXT. THE BURROUGHS ESTATE - DAY A beautiful, sprawling estate up in the Colorado mountains. Situated among the towering pines, a fabulous mansion stands out against the lush foliage. A limousine pull up to the gate. After a second the gate opens and the car pulls in. MONTAGE - PREPARING THE NURSERY -- A roughly 16' x 16' room. The walls are block with 2" x 6" studs framing to mount drywall or panelling to the walls and ceiling. The door opens and three WORKMEN enter. -- The Workmen press thick blankets of insulation between the studs on the walls. The ceiling has already been insulated. The brand name on the insulation reads "Sound Barrier." -- Two of the Workmen position a panel into place against the wall. It is covered with thick gold satin button-tufted padding. The third Workman fiddles with wires that hang from a "button" in the now padded ceiling. -- Bloc opens the door to the room a few inches. Instantly there is the loud sound of hard rock music. He closes the door and music stops. Bloc opens. The room has been completely lined the gold padding. A boombox on the floor blares out the music ear shattering music. The three Workmen inside wear protective head phones. Bloc walks over to the radio and turns it off. The music stops. Bloc smiles at the Workmen. -- A copper tube slides out a few inches from one of the "buttons" on the wall. It quickly retracts to blend in with the "button." A few feet away, a second nozzle is positioned. -- The Workmen carry in beds. Two MAIDS put a gold satin sheet on a king-sized beds in already in the room. - From another room, Jessica watches the maids through the cameras hidden in the "buttons" on the ceiling. One monitor shows a wide angle view of the room. Four other screens focus on the individual beds. Next to her is a sizable tank of anesthetic gas. -- A maid fluff and adjusts the golden pillows on one of the beds. A "button" with a concealed gas nozzle is centered behind the pilllows. -- The Maids install hospital styled restraints on one of the beds. -- Jessica proudly admires the finished, gold-lined room. She smiles as she gently runs her hand over one of the pillows. She finally goes to the door. -- The door closes behind her as she leaves. Instantly a panel and a display case slides into place to conceal the door. END MONTAGE
We know what both Phoenix Force and the kidnappers are planning. While we don't know why, we do know Jessica is plotting to capture Phoenix Force, subduing them with cotton soaked in an anesthetic. From their planning, we also know much about how they intend to keep the young heroes helpless afterward. Kelly/Dreamer will be alerted by her psychic powers to the plot, including the plan to drug them with the cotton. They decide to play along with Renee/White Sorceress to cast a spell to protect them from the ether; Beverly/Charmer to use her hypnotic voice to stop the follow up injections of sedatives. Pretending to be drugged, they can then be taken to the kidnapper's lair to learn who is behind it and why. Jessica and her people carry out their preparations not realizing they are falling right into Phoenix Force's trap. The key to the plot twist will be the ether used to drug a rag left at the scene of Jessica's faked kidnapping scene. The clearly labeled bottle is dominant in Kelly's dream. It distracts her (and viewers) from the similar, but slighty larger bottle behind it. It also conceals the label on the bigger bottle so that little or nothing of "chloroform" is seen. Both in the vision and in real time, the contents of a bottle is poured into plastic bags containing the cotton. The label covered by the hand, the size of the bottle is the only clue to tip off viewers that it's the second bottle and may not be ether. The bags, the bottle (label unseen), and an injection kit are then shown in a small briefcase. Casually displayed in the background, the ether is still seen on the shelf for sharp eyed viewers to spot. It's not until they are being restrained by a dozen burly kidnappers and the sweet smelling cotton is clamped securely over their noses and mouths that Phoenix Force learns it not ether. Too late! The chloroform is already putting them to sleep. Loaded onto Jessica's private jet, a nurse prepares to give them a sedative to keep them out. The label on the bottle in the briefcase is finally shown clearly revealing to viewers that the boy and three girls were given chloroform instead of ether. As they had planned to pretend to be asleep, any thoughts they may be faking are dashed as the nurse administer the injections. Really unconsicous, none lift a finger to resist. A few moments later, the jet takes off; disappearing into the night sky to deliver the sleeping children to their new home
The place is surrounded by security. Yet, nobody knows about the secret tunnel and hidden passage. When do you prefer to find out about it. Before the heist? As the crime is commited? After the crime when the goods are found missing
