Oh this myth. It's false, it was based on the "odd" ending of the Mayan calendar that dated the last year would be 2012, December something. They debunked this one a while back, saying that the calender was made to "restart" after 2012, which means the world won't explode in a violent catastrophe. You'll just wake up, and live.

The simple fact is one day the end of the world will come. Personally I think it will be long into the future and we may have even left this globe when it does. Personally I think it will be around the time the Sun burns out. I certainly wont be losing any sleep over it.
