Chocolate cookies (aka awesomeness)

  1. Awesome Chocolate Cookies
(recipe by Anne Wilson- not me.) (and yes, I had to translate it... so it's a bit weird.)

Makes 25 cookies (well, it’s supposed to)

    Ingredients:
    1 ½ cup flour
    ¾ cup cocoa powder
    1 ½ cup brown sugar
6,3 oz (180 grams) (unsalted) butter
5,3 oz (150 grams) chocolate, in pieces
    3 eggs, lightly wisked
1 ½ cup fine chopped chocolate (chocolate chips will do as well)

    1. Preheat the oven at about 350°F (180 °C) and cover two bakingtrays with baking paper (or anything so they won’t stick. Just don’t oil/butter them, because your cookies will soak up all the oil and turn out... disastrous!). Sift the flour and the cocoa in a big bowl, add sugar and make a little... pit (how am I supposed to say that in English?! Anyway, you get the picture- I hope) in the middle.

2.Melt the butter and the chocolate in a little pot/pan on a low flame. Stirr till the mixture is smooth and take the pan of the fire.

3.Mix the butter-chocolate mixture and the eggs with the dry ingredients (don’t wisk too long) and spoon the chocolate chips through it all. Spoon about 2 tbsp (or 1 tbsp with lots of batter on it :p) of the batter on the bakingtray. Press it down with your fingers (yes, your fingers will become sticky now!) and bake the cookies for about 12 minutes. Let them rest for 5 minutes on the bakingtray before letting them fully cool on a rack.

Enjoy! (unless you burnt them, of course  )

So we're making these when you come right?

    Absolutely right. :)

the 5,3 oz of chocoilate - is that unsweetened baking chocolate? I'd assume so, but it would make a huge difference.

Also, brown sugar has a very different taste from white sugar. I wouldn't substitute.

Knowing me I would probably burn them. Nice recipe and treat, I would like to try when I some time.

Are you trying to get me to burn down my house?:confused:

    Gimme a microwave recipe:D

@ Cogito: Actually I used plain dark chocolate, nothing specially for baking. And yeah, I always use brown sugar for it so I don't know. Thanks anyway. :)

@ Pallas: Just keep an eye on the oven, and it'll all be okay. :p

@ Grim: Yes, I am, and no, learn to cook with an oven!!!
