I am light, and before me Hitan, the God of Trials, opens the way into life...

I descend, and beside me, to either side, are Wisdom and Desire. They are my closest friends and my greatest nemesis', for one is not fond of the other. Indeed each try to overcome the other, and I have no peace as I am always in between.

Ahead, beyond sight, lies Selene, the Goddess of Fulfillment. For me she has lain cool blankets and clear water. But she will not come to me. She is very discerning and has never approached a man, unworthy.

"Let them find me if their heart is set on me. If not, they shall find another."

And indeed there were others.
