I Believe....

  1. Before I spell my believes, let me first say this: I don't tend to be dogmatic or force my my believes on any who reads this. Secondly,I want to share what I believe to the missives, hoping that they will be inspired to the same. Lastly, this is an important step for as a writer to know my believes so I can portray them in my writing. Now, having said that, I will share what I believe.

I grew up in a Christian environment and taught the meaning of the bible from a young age. Thus, I have come to understand that Christ provides hope to those who are still hurting. Along with that, He provides miracles in the light of mundane...if anyone does not believe me, all the have to is ask me for my life story and then will be come to their errs.

Along with this, He also forgives those who fall short of him. That is why he sacrifice his life to us. To forgive us, permanently, for the sin that we have and will commit to. The only exception is those who commit unforgivable sins. (i.e. sins of the spirit).

Also, I believe in God's word and that he will never shun away from us, no matter what we believe. Me personally, I am christian who believes that. With that, I believe that he also is everywhere. One just have to look closely and listen closely to hear and see him.

A final believe that I have is one has to have faith. Hebrews teaches us that one must have faith in a bleak word. And, I am strong faith in my believes as a christian.

So, when I write, I have the darkest and bleakest setting but in the mist one of the character will believe in this, and that is one that will truly win--even if he dies. Also, I won't create falsification about anything that is in scripture.

Also, I will take a stance if anyone dares to strike controversy with him.

What do you consider to be controversial when it comes to issues of Christ? Don't you believe that I as an Atheist have the right to be skeptical and critical?

If you believe something that is your right and your prerogative, however I also have the right to voice my opinions, even if they may be contrary to yours.

One of the issues that I have with many people of faith (and not just Christians, in my opinion the Muslims have a very low bar when it comes to tolerance and criticism and in that respect Christians and far ahead) is that they make very definite claims, and often proselytize to others and even judge them for what they do based on their faith; and then whenever a secular person turns around to address them and analyze their faith they claim they are being persecuted and put on a cloak of immunity.

They say that their faith is beyond criticism and attempt to make it immune to scrutiny, and that is certainly not the case. You certainly have the right to say what you believe, and I certainly can and will say why I dont, and I am backed up by my rights.

I am taught not to judge others, for that is God's place and power to do so. However, what I will say is this: true, we live in a country where we have a right to practice our believes. And with that, and we also have a right to express that to others. Along as we encroach upon others rights. I understand that fully. However, I also have the right to stand what I believe on, with out be criticize or called a hypocrite, for I take a fence when some calls me that. Christians are not that. Christians, are the Pharisees of Egypt. They were the hypocrites in Christ's time, and he proved that they were. If you can criticize our faith then your faith in will also be criticize by God, and he is the final judge. Secondly, what I mean by controversy is that anyone who denies his existence. They are highly mistaken by saying that.

Okay, I think I understand what you're saying, and if that's the case then you have already made my case for me.

It sounds like you are okay with anyone's beliefs as long as they agree with you or don't criticize yours, luckily most western societies disagree with you.

Luckily I do not live in Saudi Arabia where homosexuals and adulterous women can be stoned to death, hell even apostates can be killed for not believing.

There is a very important reason why we need to be able to analyze religion, because they make good people do and say irrational things, and you are an example of that.

Like i said, I don't take kindly to those who say that that I am hypocrite for what I believe, for those who are the the hypocrite.

Hmm, I don't recall calling you a hypocrite or implying that you were, I dont know anything about you that you havent told me

But what you did say actually tells me alot, and it scares me...

How can it scare you? You're the one who should be scared, for I am the one who is saved.
