Influenced by punk music

Just the other day when I was working on a piece, I wanted to write something that had depression, loss and stuff like that. But while writing it I had some punk music turned on for some reason. Sex Pistols, The Ramones, the Clash...things like that. Suddenly I didn't wanted to write about hopes being lost anymore. my mood had changed and I got around writing about someone who damn-cares everything.
I guess music does have great influence over your work!!
