I have the face of a million women but only one is mine;

been missed and been pissed,
even scratched by my sis-

wiped softly off from wedding cake,
with a funny look only I could make,
watched white swans gliding thru my lake,
my face..
sun warmly shone on,
and yes it's been spat on-
socked in and slapped on
my face...

bawled scores of hours, still smelt the flowers,
sung sweet in my shower, upheld finest hour,
laughing out loud, not lost in a crowd,
my face...

been washed, moisturized, and mud packed,
has seen what goes on thru the door cracks,

eyes have seen much, when backs turned upon me,
a sad man who came, to senselessly con me,
my eyes shocked and narrowed, with watered blue glare,
only to find, that I no longer cared.
my face.....

With colorless grief, I watch my mom die.
-fast gone was she, no more to confide,
I'd held her in bed as warmth took it's leave, held fast her body,
I suffer, I grieve.
Soon periwinkle was gone from my eyes,
a hollowed out look, from her quick demise,
the sparkle they'd held, now faded to dust,
crestfallen holes, tinged with red rust.
This black day has come uninvited and mean,
no metaphor fits-
you had, to have seen-
