Pain! OH THE PAIN! Toothpick Wedged In Tooth!

  1. So this morning I decided to cook up last nights steak with some eggs for breakfast as I had some time before work started.

The steak was pretty tender so a bit of it was wedged in-between my back upper left jaw and I decided to use these super new Dental Sticks(I take super-good care of my teeth after years of cavities and neglect)! Well, the Dental Sticks have a handle and then an inch-long plastic end that in cylindrical with tiny little spikes. As I forced it in I was able to get the stack out, but half of the plastic end snapped and was stuck in my teeth for hours!

Everything I did hurt and finally after the aching, grinding pain got the better of me I drove to the store to get myself so regular dental floss. It hurt so much! Fifteen minutes and seven strings were lost, but I was finally able to pull out the green spiked end with only minimal bleeding.

The moral of the story - USE DENTAL FLOSS! EVERYTHING ELSE IS A LIE!

Over recent weeks I have become an expert on interdental cleaning implements. I suspect you have reached your conclusion prematurely...perhaps without trying Wisdom's rubbery thing with knobbly bits on. For the record:

Dental Floss - 6/10 You need to be some sort of contortionist to reach far-flung spots. Too vigorous and the floss cuts sensitive gums.

Tiny wire brushes - 4/10 The brush bit is great; the wire bit not so much

Shaped plastic sword-like stick sans teeth - 7/10 Pretty good. Will bend with overmuch pressure.

Wisdom's rubbery things with knobbly bits - 8/10. Quite delightful.

    And there you have it.:D
