  1. My first chance to really write so im making the most of it, hoping that people may appreciate some of my thoughts.

Ever wondered along a street and seen something that took your breath away? a beautiful child, a happy family together, a bird sitting in a majestic pose looking out over the sights. People don't take enough time to appreciate the things around them, whether in a city or in the countryside where all you can see for miles around is fields. The pure perfection of the world we live in.

It's not something that I see often and less appreciate when a busy lifestyle leaves you very little time to do anything other than work eat and spend time with your loved ones.

Thought provoking things matter to me and it's nice just to sit and think about it, does anyone else feel the same?

    ^ Ditto :D

Looking up at the stars at night makes me feel this way. That -- there's something so much bigger than what I experience when I'm at work or home. Sometimes the stress can get to me and make you forget about the small but great things in life. On days when I can just put aside all those worries though, that's when I can see things in a better perspective.

Recently, my older brother pointed something out that astounded me. Something that just made me stop and think Wow... He gazed up to the stars and saw a little red speck glowing in amongst the other dozens of stars against the black darkness. He said that probably it takes years for that light from that star to reach us. And that it could just in fact be gone now. But somehow it's light is still spanning the universe to reach us.

That just made me think about the world we live in. Our gigantic universe. How big it is. How beautiful it is. Hee, hee. That small instance just made me dizzy and joyous at the same time :D

I can equate to what your saying there, I feel the same when I look at some beautiful countryside and think that anything that might be wrong at the time pales into insignificance at the beauty of the world we live in. It does sadly upset me the way it is not cherished the way it deserves to be.

I live in Gotham, so what people appreciate rarely expands past their smartphone screen or the gleam of some shiny new possession or an elaborate show. For many of us that indomitable wonder of youth for all natural things turned out to be quite easily dominated.

^Yeah, unfortunately. All those smart gadgets and such. *sigh* We live in a world were materialism rules (much to my chagrin) and as you said, where our "indomitabe wonder" is easily dominated. *sigh* Where have those days gone where self-reflection was so common?
