The grudges we can't forget.

  1. Several weeks had gone by since Samantha had talked her her mother. This would not seem so strange if it were not for the fact that they are living together in a small two bedroom apartment. Everyday they walk past each other. Everyday they fight for time in the bathroom getting ready.

On several occasions their eyes will meet one another's but neither one of them can summon the courage to say a few words.

This behavior began when Samantha was just a child. A terrible act had happened to her and all her mother did was stand idly by and watch. Her mother couldn't find the strength to stop her husband. So she sat as her little girl cried out for help. Tears soaked her face and blurred her vision.

Now several years later, with the evil step-father out of the picture, neither daughter nor mother can forget the horrible day.

Well, it seems like the mother is at fault here.

    1. For not intervening in one way or another
    2. For not apologizing for not having intervened

When a person wrongs us and continues to justify it either by silence or by blame-then resentment will not go away-it will fester and grow.

I agree this is a short excerpt from one of my friends real life situation. I dont know how to talk to her about it so I wrote it down trying to see the image from her eyes.
