Like a beast of the Serengeti, the heat stalks me with velvet paws.
It opens its maw to breath me into its corpulent embrace.
It tongue bathes me and then rolls me in the dust.
It ripples over me in waves of amber stalks of grass.
The grass snorts it's frustration at my lack of appreciation.
It blankets me again.
It weighs heavy like water
Like spit.
