Very glad you agree, @gibble410 . I was changing my avatar & found this in my pics. I really don't remember why I saved it. It's just a little text/pic/whatever so I guess it's ok to post it.

But it says something about how we should never forget there will always be someone/thing better, bigger, more evil, etc...

Thank goodness when (and if) we can still walk and run and move our legs, right?

In the light of eternity what difference does a second, a minute, an hour, a month or even a year make? It makes no difference at all. It means nothing. So why do we bother with feelings of rejection and pain? With me, I think it's what I lay my eyes on, what I listen to - knowing those places are not the best for my emotional senses. And with all this effort not to do this or not to do that, I still have feelings.

Forget rejection letters. Check out this scenario.

Let's say you're a writer living with the man you love. And finally you've written your first novel. The cover is beautiful, even has your picture on it. You're so proud!

One afternoon you come home from work and walk into the breakfast nook where your partner eats his breakfast every morning -

and there's your book! The hardback you set aside just for him with the awesome cover -

grape juice is spilled all over it and left to dry. He didn't even bother to clean it up or try to hide the accident from you - at least just to spare your feelings.

You know if you talk to him about it, he'll say, honey, it's just a book. I love YOU.

And it doesn't matter if that's true or not. All you know is it hurts.

yes @gibble410 ! I'd be very interested. And yours would be fine. I'll be really honest with you tho. I have problems reading through a whole lot of material at one time. Just a recent issue I've had lately. look forward to hearing from you.
